I am 80 years old, every single time I come back to this performance, tears of joy flow. The musicians, the audience, the children is like magic made in heaven.
My wife came down the aisle to Ode to Joy. 22 years later, I buried her to it. I still can't hear it without weeping, and I can't stop listening to it. Thank you, this is beautiful.
I've seen this so many times and I'll never stop loving all the little children trying to be like the conductor. They make me smile as much as the music.
I wish all the people that this has moved to tears could meet..... that would be a room full of love, empathy, compassion and an understanding of the simple beauty of life.
Sitting in my lounge room in Melbourne Victoria in Covid lockdown. Listening made me cry - music is the thing that will open people's hearts and hopefully create a better world.
I'm Portuguese, so I'm European, so maybe I'm biased, but Beethoven's 9th Symphony always sounded to me like a reaching out to all humans in the world for everything we have in common. Everytime I just want to celebrate every different country and people whilst feeling that deep down we pretty much feel the same. Regardless if it is true or not, I hope we can live together in peace and enjoy each other. Cheers for this video.
Beethoven's 9th symphony, Ode to Joy, is the name of this wonderful piece. Enjoy.
When she is 90 she is gonna tell her grandkids, "when I was a kid you could get a whole orchestra to play Beethoven for a quarter."
You know you're getting older when stuff like this ends up bringing a tear to your eye
I might be a 46 year old metalhead but NOTHING will take away my love for classical music...EVER. This was absolutely AMAZING!
