Since she was 5 years old, she has been studying at the Seoul Central Conservatory under Sunny Lee. Yeonah gave her first solo performance with chamber orchestra at the age of 6 and has won top prizes at numerous national competitions.
I love how her entire demeanor changed once she started playing. A second ago she was a shy, cute girl at the airport asking to play with a stranger. A second later she became the queen of her magic kingdom of music we are just lucky to witness and experience.

I am not expert but I have watch renowned musicians play on UA-cam. They are all geniuses. Yet there's always a seriousness in their music, never seen anyone play the violin with so much fun and relaxation. What a genius. A true Prodigy
@@luc5798 It isn't because she is a child. There are hundreds of videos on YT of similarly gifted child violinists giving performances. Almost invariably, such violinists are extremely serious - as is Yeonah herself when performing on stage or in competition.

I am 30 years old and I have never seen the violin played like this before. Also, she smiles every time she sees the piano player's eye, that's showing her appreciation and humble. She's really a professional who doesn't match her age.

They were subtly giving each other cues as to tempo, pauses, etc. Normally a conductor would do this. While awesome, it would have been even better if they had more practice together.

My son is a pianist, he started at age five; we enjoy every time he plays. But words alone cannot describe this precious moment! I had watched it again & again, so many times till I lost count! Thanks for the internet, now I am enjoying the music of the whole world, that I have never imagine possible. New talents will pop up at any corners of our world at anytime. Obviously she was born with talents. Sometimes those talents don't surface until they have a chance to show them. Besides the difficult piece, she is also doing it in front of a growing crowd and that can add a lot of pressure.
Four seasons isn’t too tough, there was an 11 year old with Ziegunerwiesen and a 12 year old with a nearly flawless Ernst’s Last Rose of Summer, which are both much harder (Ernst is usually regarded as the hardest in common literature)
Dropped because many parents can’t afford the classes and purchase the instruments, and most importantly “music not making money” (esp Asian parents 😢)
If you watch other videos of Yeonah performing in competition she is so professional and serious for such a young child, so it's delightful to see her so relaxed and interacting with Julien with such a huge smile. Music is fun, Vivaldi is astonishing, and Yeonah is both!
She's so adorable and her smile is infectious. She probably melted everyone heart during her performance. Humble, elegance and having fun. A truly impressive performance by a kid!
This is honestly amazing. The fact that I now have experienced what it's like to be so incredibly sad and cynical to the point of forcing me to cry AND simultaneously laugh out loud at life (happened when I was 13), and now (at 27) seeing something so humanly pure and spectacular that is also making me cry but from pure joy in my chest. Life is incredible.

Having spent my whole life in the Asian community, the only thing that being Asian has to do with it is having parents that force their kids, often against their will or their wellbeing - hardly something to be proud of. Other than that, talent is universal & no one race (“Asian” isn’t even a race) possesses more talent or intelligence than another.
I would just say mind boggling! that anyone can play this let along a 10yr.old child. She was in the zone and enjoying every note and her happy smile was heart warming. Surely Antonio was smiling down on her. Julian's piano playing was amazing as well. Truly uplifting to watch.

That is one of THE most difficult pieces to play on violin. And she not only did it effortlessly, she played with a smile and had fun with it, instead of the stern concentrated face you see so often in adult violinists. She's so young it's astounding! I could list the normal superlatives, but it wouldn't come close to describing her performance. I play it daily, especially when I need a pick-me-up. I'd buy her music CDs if they were available. In short, she's totally amazing.

I can't believe how many times I watch this in a week, I have watched a few videos of hers. This is by far one of the best where she is having fun. Playing the chords on the violin can be challenging for some adults playing this piece. Thank you for putting this out.
I'm 47 and found Cecilia Bertolli "Voi Che Sapete" was tye furst song I ever heard from her and I fell in love with her voice and Mozart then I found Maria Callas. There is something about classical music that still to this day does something to me. It almost takes you on a journey and you "or at least I do" feel the emotions. I don't understand Italian or any other language, but when certain classical song are played you can get a feel if it's a song about love or falling in love and the roller coaster of emotions love can and does take you on, or if it's of mourning and sadness or joy and happiness and sometimes all emotions in one song. It's amazing and the fact this little girl is 10 blows my mind she can play with that much emotion and passion and smile because of the joy she feels while playing. Sorry for the long post but you are right there is so much culture and history. It's amazing when there are no words but you can still feel every emotion. The piano and violin together give me goose bumps when they are played like they were in this video

Vivaldi Four Seasons is a piece that it is very difficult and intimidating ... but this girl make it so easy! Fantastic!
Obviously she was born with talents. Sometimes those talents don't surface until they have a chance to show them. Besides the difficult piece, she is also doing it in front of a growing crowd and that can add a lot of pressure.
Four seasons isn’t too tough, there was an 11 year old with Ziegunerwiesen and a 12 year old with a nearly flawless Ernst’s Last Rose of Summer, which are both much harder (Ernst is usually regarded as the hardest in common literature)

The fact that I now have experienced what it's like to be so incredibly sad and cynical to the point of forcing me to cry AND simultaneously laugh out loud at life (happened when I was 13), and now (at 27) seeing something so humanly pure and spectacular that is also making me cry but from pure joy in my chest. Life is incredible.

I can't believe how many times I watch this in a week, I have watched a few videos of hers. This is by far one of the best where she is having fun. Playing the chords on the violin can be challenging for some adults playing this piece. Thank you for putting this out.

This is why I love classical music! It's history, culture, mutual understanding, and joy that have been passed on for hundreds of years.
I'm 47 and found Cecilia Bertolli "Voi Che Sapete" was tye furst song I ever heard from her and I fell in love with her voice and Mozart then I found Maria Callas. There is something about classical music that still to this day does something to me. It almost takes you on a journey and you "or at least I do" feel the emotions. I don't understand Italian or any other language, but when certain classical song are played you can get a feel if it's a song about love or falling in love and the roller coaster of emotions love can and does take you on, or if it's of mourning and sadness or joy and happiness and sometimes all emotions in one song. It's amazing and the fact this little girl is 10 blows my mind she can play with that much emotion and passion and smile because of the joy she feels while playing. Sorry for the long post but you are right there is so much culture and history. It's amazing when there are no words but you can still feel every emotion. The piano and violin together give me goose bumps when they are played like they were in this video
오늘도 어김없이 몇번 보고 갑니다. 천진난만한 소녀의 웃음기 어린 얼굴이 연주 시작과 동시에 프로모드로 진입.. 바로 자신만만한 여유 있는 웃음... 피아노반주자 와의 아이컨텍...과 미소..모든게 자꾸 와서 보게 만드는 요소네요...
클래식을 전공한 자녀를 둔 엄마로서도 너무 자랑스럽고 가슴벅차고 행복합니다❤❤❤❤❤
