MY 2001 CHEVY S10 ZR2 DOES NOT HAVE ONE ON IT. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING ALL OVER THE PLACE FOR IT mines a 4.3 liter vortec and the eletrical plug is there for it but no EGR valve . Im stumped. No holes for it to go in , looks like its never been there.

I’m assuming the raised side goes against the engine block and the side with the number goes against the EGR valve

By any chance do you know what side of the EGR valve goes against the engine block. I have a 2001 4.3 S-10 I’m replacing my EGR valve gasket with a felpro gasket and there are some differences on the top and bottom sides of the new gasket what side goes against the engine?

I swear my egr valve just doesn't exist. Can't find it anywhere on my 4.3 vortec. Anyone else?
