I love how Taku is so hospitable and telling his buddies to help themselves to more, and when one of his friends was serving himself he said “No no no, we’re just happy to share too ya know.” 😊 I love this
I used to belong to one of the earliest kayak fishing clubs back in the mid-90's in southeast Florida when kayaks were just getting to be the thing. We had small group adventures throughout the Everglades and south Florida's wilderness camping on Gulf islands and really learning survival techniques, navigation skills and just the beauty of it all. We used to get together once a year down in the Florida Keys and have a fishing contest, have a cook out with our catch (and some steaks, dogs and chicken), drink a lot of beer and enjoy the community of common interests.
It was one of the best times of my life. Made some great friendships with those people.
Only thing that was missing in this feast was matts (Fishermans Life) butter. Oh! and daniel (Philosophy D)

I would love to see a video like this on the regular (once a year?). Let all the guys know when you are gonna make the video and let them all go get the best fish for the dish. Like a bounty hunt almost.

My buddies in college used to do this kind of thing for our “Friendsgiving” and called it “Strutsgiving” everyone brought a dish made with something that was foraged or caught. It was a ton of fun. Usually on the menu was cioppino, venison, wild hog, wild mushroom risotto, pheasant and dumplings, fennel salad, miners lettuce something… we ate well.
I first started watching you then found all the other guys to watch as well. I'm 44 years old and a Disabled Vet so I feel like I'm to old to start learning how to fish and not really sure if my messed up back can handle being out there standing for so long. SO I love watching you guys fish, cook, and eat. Thank you "YAY AREA" fishers for letting me live vicariously through all your guys videos.

Every single item in the bowl was placed delicately, with an abundance of care, lending to the aesthetic appeal of the dish... until the radishes. They were thrown on haphazardly! lol Looks amazing, Taku!!!
