Taku, you give a lot of credit to Chef Hiro but you’re not too shabby yourself. I mean you knew everything out on that ocean floor that was edible. You’re so knowledgeable. Stay humble my friend. Loved this video!!
Not sure if you're ever going to read this but its worth a try especially because its on your older videos. In Covid times, been watching a lot of the catch -> cook type videos and yours is awesome. Please continue to produce content because it's always a treat to see how the real thing is made from scratch and not just when we sit down at a restaurant.
I can't believe Hiro caught that massive eel at 5 lbs! You guys are great! I love this because a lot of times we're stuck doing indoor things not realizing we have such an abundance if we properly train ourselves to commute and forage for food. Gave me such a vibe about going out and really getting connected with the world how we're suppose to.
Finding channels like this causes me to ponder a few things. First, I'm a simple uncultured guy from Minnesota. Second, it reminds me of how much I loved watching Anthony Bourdain content. Third, there is a great big tasty, adventure filled world out there that is filled with wonderful people from all over. Thank you for inspiring me to get out and forage locally with my son's. It's become a big way I bond with them and create memories. Our go to is simple, but it usually involves crayfish and fish from a river camping trip. To them it's a big deal and I love that. Keep up the great work!

In the Philippines, there are places called "dampa" where they have just a bunch of restaurants that will cook raw foodstuffs for you. If you don't have the time to forage yourself, they also have a market where they sell seafood freshly caught that day.
Not necessarily harvest, but they have spots where you can pick either live, or raw seafood, and just tell the cooks how you want it, then they do it for you.
absolutely amazing. beautiful prep for beautiful food. love the conservation, only take what you need and being sure to not disrupt the regrowth, much respect.
i love this because of the cooking part, most youtubers make amazing content and catch great fish and stuff, then they try to cook it and can never do it justice. they always just pan fry fish till it breaks apart and burns. I love it when it's real "catch and cook" , because i believe the "cook" part is equally important.
I can’t imagine the quality of the flavor and textures you guys put together. As a cook and half Japanese, what you guys did was brilliant. The fresh Uni sushi made my mouth salivate. Nice work , all around.
