@@Jasonstreamline Patsy Cline did write songs. Google is your friend and I’m sure the gentleman wouldn’t be lying about his grandmother writing songs with her.
@@Cynthia... patsy Cline never wrote any songs. She composed the music to “a stranger in my arms” and “don’t ever leave me again.” That is not the sane as writing a song. The person above is lying.
Patsy is considered by most, including myself, the greatest female Country Singer. There will never be another like her. Only 6 or 7 yrs of recorded songs & then it ended. Yet people are still talking about her & discovering her music today. 1st time l discovered Patsy Cline was the radio played "Walkin' after midnight." l was like WOW! Who is this singer???? l found out after the song was done & l have loved her ever since. wish l could of seen her live in person. But l was only 2 1/2 yrs old when she died. She sings with such emotions. Listen to "Faded Love". you can hear her crying!
Love seeing you discover her. Be sure to watch “Walking After Midnight”, “Sweet Dreams”, and “I Fall to Pieces”. She had one of the best voices in country, past and present! Love your videos!
Perfect pitch. Her voice hooks you no matter what genre you prefer! Songs? Crazy written by Willie Nelson. It has been covered by many...but no one does it better than.
I used to be a radio announcer, and one time I played Walking After Midnight. I got on the mic afterward and said "Patsy Cline, Walking After Midnight. Not a good idea, Patsy!"
The funny headband was because she was hiding stiches scars from car accident a few months earlier. She did a 45 day stint at a Vegas casino in 1962, making her the FIRST FEMALE country singer to headline there. Sweet Dreams and Faded Love were released after her death in a plane crash in March 1963.
What a contrast between vocalists then and now. Patsy, dressed simply singing without autotune or lots of jumping around distracting us with crazy choreography, maybe live ( though a lot of TV shows were mime). Pure talent. What a great loss. Please play "Sweet Dreams" (1963), released after her death, or "Crazy" (1961) - two songs that show the pure beauty and deep soul of her singing. Thank you...
I heard Wynonna Judd describe her singing "Patsy was hard to duplicate. She has this little hesitation in her voice as she comes into the words and that's how she's unique." Made me notice it as I listen now. Hope y'all get what Wynonna pointed out. You always react to some of the BEST artist! And it shows that your a real music lover!! 🎶🎵💯👌🏼⭐
Great blast from the past. When that Patsy recording came out I was a young Paratrooper in 504th Parachute Infantry (Devils in Baggy Pants). In my 79th revolution around the Sun now. Amazing how music takes you to who and where you once were. Thank you young man.
So a AA in peace time. Me Choked Chicken in was ('70) I was but a 13 when she pasted but even then I loved her voice She was the Best ever no on can match her
Adog ,man this is the first time in a while that I've gotten anything from you ,glad to see you're ok ! Patsy was a treasure what an amazing story of her life .
This show she was on was shortly after a major accident she had. Ended up passing away from another accident at the age of 30 and such a huge loss to music! I think the studio version had more power behind it as she was nowhere near 100% in this video but still great nonetheless! My favorite songs I love to hear from Patsy is "A Poor Man's Roses (or a Rich Man's Gold)," "Faded Love," "Sweet Dreams," "San Antonio Rose," and I'll end it with "Walkin' After Midnight" which was a huge hit for her! Patsy is my Queen of country!
Patsy Cline was my grandfather's favorite singer. I was exposed to her from a very young age in the early 50's. I miss being on his and Grandma's front porch in the old porch swing with the radio inside the house up against the screened open window, listening to music.
She was killed in a plane crash in March 1963. One of music's most tragic losses. She and country superstar Loretta Lynn were very close friends - so close that Loretta named one of her daughters after Patsy. Check out the movie Coal Miner's Daughter with Sissy Spacek playing Loretta and Beverly D'Angelo playing Patsy. They both did their own singing, and it is eerie how they both sound so much like the real thing.
Sweet Dreams was her last song in 1963..released a few months after her death.. we lost 4 greats that year, JFK in November. Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas and Hawkshaw Hawkins in the same plane crash.. Sweet Dreams is my all time favorite. If you want to know her vocal range then this is the song you should listen to...ua-cam.com/video/imafHIq2210/v-deo.html....I was in high school when we heard the tragic news over the radio.
I was 10 years old1963 . We listened to these songs on the radio on top of the fridge in the kitchen on the farm. Then one day everyone was crying. I didn't know what was going on. It was like everyone on the farm world stopped that day.
Hey A, Hope all is well...This is such a beautiful old classic, she def knew how to sing about her cheating man...She was an amazing lady, went thru so much and died way to young...Her Movie "Sweet Dreams" is a must see...Thanx so much, Be well, Peace
What you have to listen to is her pass between false seto to baritone. Smoothly. Not alot of singers back then or today can do that. That's what makes Patsy amazing.
wow !! talk about bringing ''yesteryear'' back to life again. patsy could put you to sleep ., however you might go to sleep crying .🙂great channel adogg.
Another "what if". Patsy's life was cut short in an airplane crash, she was only 30. Her song "Crazy" is my favorite. My mother in law, way back in the late 60's would sing Patsy's songs and sounded a lot like her.
She is from my hometown of Winchester Va. All kinds of monuments there. We just never were allowed to mention her name around my mother in law. I think there may have been an interesting story there but I never found out what. She was good friends with my aunt early in her career but I never got to meet her. Remarkable talent tho
This performance she was still recovering from a car accident. She was wearing the headband across her forehead to hide where she had to have stitches if I remember right.
Patsy was my Dad's generational version of Whitney (but before the electronic revolution). I think Dolly was the interim and masterful herself. Peace, Love!!
Check out her Bio from the movie SWEET DREAMS.....the song came out after she passed away (another plane crash) her and Loretta Lynn COAL MINERS DAUGHTER (movie and song) they were best friends and are considered country queens......
If you like that, try A Poor Man's Roses or Sweet Dreams by Cline. Or try Mary Duff doing some of Patsy's songs. You will be floored. Like Walking After Midnight Crazy and Sweet Dreams... Mary Duff has an amazing voice Cliffs of Doneen or Power of Love. Amazing voice
Listen to LeAnn Rimes' first hit "Blue". We all thought it was a lost Patsy track! I enjoy your videos, it's fun to watch a young person discover what was always a part of my life I might have forgotten. Thank you.
I love her , I love Billie holiday 💕 and stevie nicks, please try some stevie nicks try some from Fleetwood mac and her solo stuff. that lady has masterful sound to.
Thanks! You can probably tell that Patsy had not only a unique voice.. she could also "yodel" when called for - lol (one of my favorites by Patsy is "Walkin after Midnight".. if you have time & inclination... ua-cam.com/video/bsRNCvHXHHU/v-deo.html)
She and my grandmother wrote songs together, Donna Halfacher.
Cool 😎 ❤️👵🏼☮️

Nobody could sing about heartbreak better than Patsy Cline did back then.

That is a wig also. She was nearly killed.

Faded Love is my favorite. If you want to hear heartbreak, listen to the end.
My mom loved Patsy Cline. When I hear it , it takes me back to my childhood!
Her voice is so clear !. She's a real tear jerker. She can talk to like she understands in her soul how bad you feel . because she's been there. !

Oh Patsy Cline! One of the best voices ever. Quite a few hits in her short life. Heartache is a great one too. ♡♡♡
Love her so much ♥️

You should check out the movie Sweet Dreams. It's basically a biopic about Patsy Cline's life and Jessica Lang plays her wonderfully!
Sweet Dreams is a must!!!!!!
Patsy Cline was my grandfather's favorite singer. I was exposed to her from a very young age in the early 50's. I miss being on his and Grandma's front porch in the old porch swing with the radio inside the house up against the screened open window, listening to music.

Patsy one of the best STILLLLLL
She's my all time favorite singer, and I think she's one of the best. Just pick a song, they're all tops.
For a feisty woman, check out early Loretta Lynn. The Pill, Don't Come Home A Drinkin', that era.
Her songs reminds me of my momma! I love her from the 50s & 60s
I love Patsy Cline. You should listen to " Rose of San Antonio " or " You belong to me"
PC was so talented.

Leanne Rimes does awesome in singing her songs !!!!
She was the Queen of Country music, she gave Loretta Lynn her big brake.
Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves were country crossovers. They both obviously became mainstream quick.
I was 10 years old1963 . We listened to these songs on the radio on top of the fridge in the kitchen on the farm. Then one day everyone was crying. I didn't know what was going on. It was like everyone on the farm world stopped that day.

👍 She was a staple in my childhood.
I grew up country and PC was always on the radio.
Subscribed due to you showing interest and respect for one of my all-time favorites.
Patsy had her first record released in 1955.
What you have to listen to is her pass between false seto to baritone. Smoothly. Not alot of singers back then or today can do that. That's what makes Patsy amazing.
OMG Adogg!! Patsy is amazing
Memories my dad loved her!

This was a live performance from 2/7/62. Listen to the studio recording as well.
My Dear ,had she not been killed she still be putting out the Best of all Genres! She could do it ALL with that voice of her!!
This performance she was still recovering from a car accident. She was wearing the headband across her forehead to hide where she had to have stitches if I remember right.
Purest voice in country music
Love me some Patsy. ❤️.
This is what Blues are all about, too.

Yes patch clone was one of a kind. She died way too soon. So young so talented. We muss her.
Liking Patsy as you do you should check out Brenda Lee & Teresa Brewer. Similar voices but oh so special.
Utterly Sublime is the only description for her voice
