People keep saying she's a country singer. She's way beyond that...this is rhythm and blues. she's can sing anything. BTW, those are the Jordanaires singing back up, Elvis's same back up guys
Such a beautiful and heart-wrenching song. Patsy Cline really was something else. She's got so much good stuff, but for a slightly different take on this song idea but more upbeat and really fun, and yet another hit for her, was, Too Many Secrets.
There’s no one better than Patsy Cline! Love her voice! There’s so many great songs by Patsy ❤️ Such a tragedy losing Patsy too soon. She had such a sad life over all too. 💔 Great reaction!
It’s ok that it’s not your style but … Patsy’s voice is undeniable. If the day comes you get your heart ripped out ,revisit because when you are howling at the moon over love lost Patsy is the best company.
Oh the heartbreak! 1962. Music sampling back then, to the extent it could be called that, happened when artists and musicians performed songs written by somebody else or made up songs of their own in the style of somebody else or in a style common to many artists. It happened organically in the wax and wane of cultural churn and technological innovation. An example of old time sampling might be found in a comparison between "She's Got You" and Jerry Reed "She Got the Goldmine (I Got the Shaft)". At any rate, if you want to get to the root fast, check out Scott Joplin "Pineapple Rag" (1908). Most popular 20th century American music flows out from ragtime. But if it's Patsy Cline you prefer, also check out "Walkin' After Midnight", "Sweet Dreams", and "Tennessee Waltz".
The only one who comes close to sounding like Patsy is Leanne Rimes. She remade a Patsy song that was really good. But no one else had come close in all these years. Loved her
When relationships end, you end up with things that don’t matter without the person. The importance of the class ring in the 50s, a boy would give it to a girl and, if she accepted it, she would put it on a chain and wear it around her neck to show everyone that she was was his girlfriend and they were exclusive. She obviously took the ring seriously while he did not.
Love Patsy, and her beautiful voice. There will never be another! Thank you for your honest reaction.

Good music is good music is good music. It doesn't matter the genre or your preferences. Good music still makes your ears and heart happy.
You can't compare anyone to Patsy Cline. If she hadn't died when she did, l can't imagine how much BIGGER Patsy would be. We lose her way too soon.
Patsy sang from the heart and soul! Makes one feel something few can make one feel! That jolt!
Greatest female voice , any genre, all time. Nobody comes close to the range, clarity, power, inflections, etc…
Gone way too soon🙏🙏
A fantastic reaction! Thanks for playing Patsy.
I had to grow up to love Loretta and Tammy and a few other greats but i always loved Patsy. Her voice is like no other.

Music of the '60s are the very BEST. I miss that decade.
This song was also covered beautifully by Elvis Costello (believe it or not).
You should listen to "Leaving on Your Mind". Any song from Patsy is well worth listening to.

Dad says listen to "Crazy" by Patsy. You will understand why her reputation is still alive.

One of Virginia's finest! Patsy Cline set the bar and few have exceeded it.
