Size also plays a role here. I personally don't look for a large heavy speaker, i want to have the most out of a mid size speaker. The competition with the boom 2 and x4 exists, but it's a matter of preference at this point
I agree of course that it's a matter of preference. To me the size doesn't matter as long as I can carry it with one hand and it's not obnoxiously heavy, plus the sound quality is better on the W-King (in my opinion). The main conclusion however is that W-King despite being way bigger and over 3 times heavier (meaning 3 times as much components used with better overall quality) is still HALF the price of Bose. Just shows how much Bose is pushing it. That speaker is realistically worth no more than $200-250. And considering how bad it sounds above 60%, I wouldn't consider buying it at all.
I was honestly so excited for this speaker, I've had the flex for a few months and I've loved it. It's really light and portable with a good enough sound to enjoy indoors and outdoors. In Australia the flex was $250 in Bose website, but you can get it for 150 quite easily. The Max retails for $600 Aud. It's more than double the price of the flex 😮 I'm glad people like you exist as I always picked JBL, BOSE as a speaker. I currently own a Flex and the Blast as per your suggestion. The Blast has been absolutely fantastic!! It's a lot smaller than a boombox and the sound is awesome!
When you top JBL as the most overpriced speaker you fucking up. Why is the left and right channel so jacked up. This speaker is garbo, at least offer options to turn off surround sound or whatever caused that to happen. It sounds like nothing but mud when on 100%.
I was eyeing for this but thanks for the honest review. I guess Earfun will be releasing the Uboom X by the end of the year. I will wait for reviews to come out and see if Tribit Blast can be dethroned. I already have two Tribit Blasts. Thanks
@@alanrossreviews i knew i had to wait for your review, because you said things that no reviewer said on any video available. what happenes if you add mids to the eq tho? what frequencies does it affect and if it can fix the hole in the mids at least a little?
well it comes down to the virtual processing which does mess with the response, its the same in home cinema. some people just like that echoey kinda wider sound with nor eference to how it should actually sound.
LOL. I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS. You're a unique UA-camr Alan! Thank for years of fun, funny, interesting, knowledgeable and detailed videos. I really appreciate you Alan. Thank you man!
Yea you could also get like 10 stormbox micro 2's, but why? I prefer one decent speaker. Not that the boom 2 is bad, but the bose sounds better pretty much.
I bought the bose soundlink max a few days ago, and I think it sounds quite ok for a speaker that size. And as I'm the "size matters"-kinda guy, it was the optimal compromise of size, sound and portability for me. Remove those stiff handles on the soundcores and I'd probably buy those but that way they just take away too much space in a backpack. And still, I'm not fully convinced due to it's weight. You have to think twice before you take it with you for a hike. The Jbls in your vid are just that tiny bit too large for my usecase. Actually I'm thinking about returning the bose and get two jbl charge 5s instead. Probably still overpriced, but at least you know what you get. I don't think you can go too far off with either jbl or bose soundwise. One small downside of the bose for me is that I had to adjust the eq to -4 bass and +4 treble to like it. I don't like using an app for having the sound I can enjoy. And compared to other people who seem to enjoy that blown up bass and turn the bass eq even higher, I just can't enjoy that blown up bass. I'd say I'm just used to way bigger speakers and know how proper bass should sound like. Btw the pairing with a second bose should be possible since two or three weeks, so that's no longer a reason not to buy it. Just wasn't able to test it as I have no second bose. Yeah it's pricey! Although I found it for 300€ on Amazon, I bought it for 350 at a local store where I was able to compare it to the Marshall Middleton which sounds just terrible in my ears. I hate the Middletons sounding, which is kinda sad cause I wanted to grab that one in the first place. If I'd consider something bigger, I'd probably go with the Teufel Rockster Cross. I really can recommend that one in case you don't know it. Unfortunately I'm not able to find the Rockster go to test it somewhere. Other than that, thanks for the honest review and If anyone can think of a proper alternative I'd be happy to know.
I have the original soundlink mini from 2012, and it still works well(I also have 2 motion booms), this new speaker offers nothing other than the name, so sad. keep on going Alan, your reviews matter a lot!
I just saw the speaker on the store and I knew I could count on you for an honest review. You do a great job going into detail of the sound capabilities. For an uncommon opinion you should listen to some of those underwater, you may get surprised of what the sound does down there.
what hifi verdict on bose You can’t really ask for much more from the Bose SoundLink Max. Given the source material most people will be using - i.e. music or a podcast beamed over Bluetooth from a smartphone/tablet - the Bose doesn’t need to be ultra-transparent in its delivery. A rival such as the Dali Katch G2 has the edge in this regard, but what makes the Bose stand out is that it is unfussy and hugely enjoyable to listen to whatever you play through it. It produces a consistent, exciting and involving sound which will keep you entertained for hours. Add to the fact it is great to use and rugged enough to withstand the elements, and the SoundLink Max puts itself forward as an extremely attractive package. after 1 month with bose max, I totally agree with what hifi comments😆
@@youngmike2553 comparing the bose max to the dali katch is very funny. Another over priced over hyped speaker. What hifi has zero credibility. However you are certainly entitled to your opinion but id rather hear your own words than a copy paste from a joke magazine that exists to make money from advertising speakers it reviews.
@@alanrossreviews Is the so-called overpriced a result of sound quality being objectively quantified, or is it a psychological issue? the one of the worst speakers I used before was Anker Soundcore Motion Plus, one of your champions. There is a story. I sold it to a guy, and he bought it for the same reason he'd heard it was a great value and an outstanding performer. However, 2 days later he wrote to me asking for a refund, directly on the grounds that the sound motion sounded to him like it had significant low-frequency distortion. I was selling the motion plus because I felt it didn't play anything ok, it was a mess when it came to complex music, and the tone was dry and unattractive. I just simply don't think it's realistic to expect these $100 speakers to sound accurate, so I don't seriously complain its value. But I didn't expect it to be that noticeably distorted. The person even told me what music makes this speaker distort. the album is Zen Relaxation by Aroshanti. Then the guy bought the vifa helsinki from me, and the distortion problem was solved. He's using spotify to play his music, so there's no reason to say that he has a bad audio source causing distortion. Likewise other speakers have proven that this music can be played without distortion. Since then, this type of yoga music, sleep music, and soul-soothing music has also become the music I test speakers with. So what do you think the value of your $100 champion is here with the two of us? I think, if the speaker is hard to listen to any way, then it's a worthless thing. In fact, There's a lot to be said for your reply. For example, I've seen quite a few channels like yours that don't think the whathifi reviews are credible. bose max to dali katch, my own words to bose. Is bose not worth it if you consider sonos move, devaliet mania, b&o A5....and dali katch, vifa oslo,, vifa helsinki as well
Bose is known for that, it's kinda the apple of speakers... They have a fanbase that loves their signature in terms of sound, design, overall experience. If looking at it from a different pov and comparing it to way cheaper plastics and similar priced speakers, it's not gonna necessarily beat it, but that's how branding works. The speaker is overall good, I like the design the most, and the fact that the passives are covered.
@@megakebab1702Some apple product is genuinely good, like the iphone performance and video quality. You wouldn't find a smartphone with half the price beat the flagship Iphone. But Bose is an absolute joke. It's a joke in audiophile or in portable speaker community. Sonos is a miles better.
@@megakebab1702hey dont associate every overpriced junk with apple. Apples are expensive but they do deliver what u pay for… i dont quite like the iphones.. but the airpods. Airpods pro 2 are the best sounding tws i have ever heard. Hey Alan, someone on Reddit is claiming that since updating their Max to the latest firmware version Bose released recently that their unit no longer produces the distortion artifacts that it suffered from prior to updating. Great to have you back! Gotta have more money than sense to buy one of these, imho.Their eq presets are identical to those on their QC45 headphones, lol, so lazy! Looking forward to the Uboom X?
That's a very huge price tag! It can buy 2 pairs of boom 2 & 2 pairs of motion boom $(130 ×2) = $260 + ($70 × 2) = $140 $260 + $140 = $400 Buying the new motion boom to test out wouldn't be ideal as you can just upgrage the older fw of 00.43 to 00.44 by requesting for the upgrade via email with your serial no & in less than 24hrs, it'll be pushed to your unit, it says on description of the upgrade 'optimised sound quality' or something like that i think, who knows it might sound a bit better than the older version The only thing i like about the bose is the portability, detachable handle & the hidden passive radiators, it looks cool by design For me, the only real upgrade I've found of the motion boom is the Tribit Stormbox Blast, deep bass, warm sounding, great value Well, let's see if the Earfun Uboom L will beat that, fingers crossed for now More power to you, as usual very informative & educational vid Cheers!
yay alan vid dropped, for a moment i thought you would not upload. i've been following out oluv patreon for the month i gotta say the uboom X seems like the speaker of the year for me, its not a boombox killer but even that one it fairs decent in terms of bass(yes even deeper one) it seems. Also making for a speaker with preset that makes actual sence, while still giving the option for an user EQ. No this is not propaganda, just hype i am serious😳

Boom 2 is such a better deal. Had it all weekend at the lake didn’t even go through a full charge. Thing gets pretty loud too with respectable bass for its size.

@@alanrossreviewsone of the reasons i like your channel.. the review is kinda biased, but mostly because of the price. Boombox 2 Dockin D fine Go 3 ...and many, many other speakers....and I claim that this really is the best speaker of this size for me...!!
I have the new Bose max and i like it. Its not a speaker to play 100% volume but its pretty loud and clear at 70 -80 %. I have compared it to my JBL Extreme 3 and it can play 100% but it losses the bass. I only grab these speakers to set on my patio and lesson to them at 50% or less. But Alan I love my harman kardon go + play 3. The only thing about it is if you set ot on a table with something setting on it its going to shake iit and make it rattle. LOL but that speaker sounds great! Love your videos!
Ugh, the treble from the Motion Boom sounds like its being reproduced by a cheap piezo driver. I'm glad I didn't choose that solution when I was looking for a BT speaker that size. The Boom 2 sounds much better and IMO sounds better than the Bose Max. If I was focused on sound quality alone, I'd go with the Boom 2. With BT speakers it's price+size+performance+build quality to consider. How does the build quality of the Bose Max compare to the others?
I think also the Edifier d32: 52hz, hires, line in. WiFi and Bluetooth 5.3 at 160 euros is a bargain..only downside is channel separation..2x tweeters and 1x 4.5" midrange..cant do tws i guess its because the dsp processing for stereo-alike separation.
@@alanrossreviewsI’m mostly curious about the sound stage and stereo separation when compared to the mini. I have the original sound link mini and it has amazing soundstage and imaging
@@alanrossreviewsI thought I was being punked when I first heard my soundlink mini. I figured out it sounds much better if you reset the speaker before every listen. For the original you hold down the mute button for 10 seconds until the lights flash. I think it might be holding down the power button for the second generation, not sure. Im not sure what exactly it does but it really makes a difference for the accuracy and dynamics of the sound. Seems DSP related but idk much. I also replaced the battery after it died because it’s easy to do so with the first generation. Once I heard it perform at its full potential I had to take my Bose bashing back. I prefer it over the MINIRIG 3 if it’s one on one. Not versus two MINIRIGs in stereo though of course 😅
i have the bose max for 1 month now daily listen about 5 hours a day.after the burn in it really sounds much better .have many different speakers the sound of bose is one of the best
Have you ever tried comparing against something like the Morel Biggie (Travel, 20 hours, $300, 1 4inch and a tweeter)... it's mono but with any of these I'd get a pair. Thanks for the review!
IF the Bose Max was tuned by one of those Chinese companies, probably it would sound a lot better in a normal way ... I think it has pretty high quality woofers, look how much bass is coming out from that small form-factor ... quite a bit more than the Boom 2 at maximum ... this is called "LGBT" processing ... tuning got too far to even have the perception of how nature sounds ...
@alanrossreviews I thought you'd say that :) I just wish it wasn't $500+ in Canada otherwise I'd pick one up...was thinking about getting a w-king x20 but I already have 2 stormbox blasts so I didn't think I'd need one of those :p
its just that single woofer that i cant get past, it just robs life out of it for me along with stereo tweeters, now talking of mixing down to mono, how do you keep tweeters stereo and woofer mono without killing the life?
What would you recommend that has a similar form factor but sounds cleaner and has better bass something that sounds decent. Not a fan of the handles on the boom speakers. I bought the Bose soundlink Max and UE Epicboom and omg they sound like crap to me idk if I’d consider myself an audiophile but they just didn’t sound good to me. The Max sounded best to me with bass at +8 Mids at 0 and treble at +7 but they still both disappointed me. The speaker I use the most is a UE hypeboom which sounds so much better but it’s very big so I’m looking for something that’s more portable but has a decent sound stage.
there isnt one, thats the point of this speaker, it sounds like a £180 speaker but it has a unique compact rugged form factor that screams beach. weirdly mine wouldnt charge for a long time complaining of moisture , id hate to think how it would handle a proper day at the beach
@@alanrossreviews sad to hear that I guess I’ll just have to wait for something better to come out. Thanks for the reply and the honest review most reviews were talking about how good the Bose was smh.
Hi Alan. I have a dilemma I would like to know if you could help me out with. The soundcore boom 2 was supposed to be my more portable “boombox” option with some bass since the stormbox blast is a tank. While the Boom 2 is near perfect with good full sound and lots of bass for the size, it’s still a little too big to call ideal. My main need is something between my UE boom 3 and soundcore boom 2. Something more portable than boom 2 but still with the bass(more bass than the UE boom 3 isn't hard… lol). Currently test-driving a Soundcore Motion 300 and Uboom L. Both sound pretty good to me but don't have the bass that carries/resonates at the higher volumes. Uboom has more bass but no EQ customization is tough. Motion 300 sounds better musically to me, a little more clear. Love your reviews. Thanks.
@@alanrossreviews Thank you! After some digging I did find that the newest firmware for uboom L allows app utilization and EQ settings but unfortunately I don't have a PC do get the software for that. I'll definitely try the tribit xsound mega out though and compare it to the motion 300. Motion 300 does sound good but just a smidge lacking in the bass. I'm not looking for earth shattering bass above all else, but I do like to really hear the bass guitar resonate on some old Jimmy Buffett songs or red hot chili peppers etc. Thanks again!
need help alan..oot.... from your experience, what is the cheapest speaker with the same sound quality or close to the Bose Soundlink mini 2? which isn't too big either.. thanks alan
Bose (not to be outdone by JBL) took it upon themselves to raise the pricing bar for "premium" speakers. Behold the Max overpriced king. 👑👀 Now offering even less value for money than ever before. Everyone is encouraged to buy it when it's not on sale so they can experience a Max(imal) rip off. 😉 Thank you for another outstanding review, Alan! 😁👍👏
Man, everything else in this round-up sounds better than the Bose, quite surprised considering usually Bose's high pricing does actually get you something. Overall, this round-up just makes the Boom 2 look like a fantastic deal.
It is strange that they have included the sophisticated aptx adaptive codec. Motion plus uses aptx and aptx hd which are more compatible with all devices.
Question 1, if these speakers are the same price which one do you choose? Question two, which one is better for playing string quartets, piano solos, operatic male and female vocals, jazz, and pop vocals, indoor and outdoor, low volume and high volume in addition to party music? Question three, how many people, how often and how long do you crank your speakers to more than 70% volume? Question four, how many speakers at 100% volume still sound enjoyable? Question five, the price can be double, triple high, how do you quantify the sound to be twice as good, three times as good? Apart from the JBL BOOM BOX, I have auditioned all the rest speakers. More or less, the MAX has something to make things enjoyable, while the other ones have nothing to show for it. If cheap is the only advantage, I don't think there is much value in being cheaper.
1: that would be bb3 wifi which would be crazy cheap if we assume all same price 2: bb3 wifi over wifi lossless 3: often 4: define enjoyable, one would assume at 100% you are having a party so bb3 wifi wins 5: its a personal decision motivated by your ears and your bank balance your thoughts show how subjective our final decisions will be but one can say for most people the Bose Max is overpriced and not the right choice in most circumstances. the fact that you disagree does not make me wrong, it just shows no matter how objective one tries to be there will always be outliers that disagree. The only right decision on what to buy is always your own choice.
@@alanrossreviews the value criteria for portable speakers, holding the rest of the variables constant, can be roughly summarized like this: sound quality: the better the sound the higher the value. size and weight: the lighter and smaller the better functionality: the more functionality the better Durability: the stronger and more durable the better Overall look: the fancier, prettier, more elegant the better (There may be more subjective factors here, but I think you'll agree that UE is much prettier than ANKER, TRIBIT.) Price: the cheaper the better If there was only one variable, the problem would be simple. But in reality multiple variables are usually acting at the same time, which complicates the situation. Logically, to argue that MAX is overpriced you need to find a kind of speaker with all the similar variables as MAX that show an advantage over MAX in both sound and price, better or similar sound quality and lower price than MAX. It's obvious to me in your argument that you're ignoring the MAX's advantages in the variables of sound quality, design, and functionality in similar size rivals comparison, and highlighting the price disadvantage. When comparing to the larger BB3, you ignore the MAX's advantages in size, weight 2.2kg, and portability to BB3 6.7kg, and only highlight the BB3's advantages in sound. This leads to the conclusion that the MAX is overpriced, which lacks basic science. I would say that the ratio of agreement to disagreement has little direct correlation to objectivity. From a scientific point of view, the methods and criteria for proving a result are more important than the conclusion.
I found out how to get aptx adaptive on my iPhone, I just got a Sennheiser aptx adaptive bluetooth adapter and a USB-A to lightening adapter that I can plug into my phone. It's not ideal but it works, it would be nice if apple and Samsung would support it and not just their proprietary codex so they can get richer by forcing people into the ecosystem.
Awesome review good to seen you back. I think that negativity is just everywhere lately because of political crap. But I don't get Bose. They make it really durable but put less effort on sound quality, for the price it should sound better than anything else. It would be funny to see if it would survive throwing it off a cliff.
Just to be honest this speaker is really great when codecs is Hi Fi speaker setup installed and did right masurement so you can get surround sound through all four speakers . And for immersive sound equilty use Samsung devloper option and change sitting on Bluetooth to HD audio which will use AAC codes and you truly like this speaker cos Bose didn't make any codes for better sounding experience.
I bought a JBL flip 5 and thought it was fantastic so I bought the Xtreme 3. I honestly thought I'd bought a fake one because there was no bass! Soon got rid of that. Tribit stormbox for me at the moment, the Bose can get stuffed 😂
Looks like im the only person that actually loves this speaker. Overpriced. Of course. I love the sound with no EQ adjustment. The sound got better the more i played it. People complain bout distortion at max volume but i dont play any of my speakers at max volume because they All sound harsh and horrible at max volume IMO. A nonenjoyable sound. Leave it under 80%. Its plenty loud enough unless ur deaf. Especially the bigger ones. Overall im happy with my purchase no regrets. Coulda been more reasonable price at maybe 300$- 330$. But im not gonna return it. I still love it. Sure theres plenty cheaper competition that sounds louder and maybe better in certain ways. But for the size being as small as it is, to push as much sound as it does im impressed. I think its bose best release yet as far as portable speakers. Better than the revolve plus2, the soundlink 3, or the home speaker. Only bose speaker thats sounds better is the S1.
Yes! The only review that mentions it has 2 woofers and 1 tweeter! I am a physicist and this makes no sense. The stereo soundstage is terrible. If you listen to Beatles - Eleanor Rigby, the little Bose Soundlink Mini II has far better stereo separation than the Max. Bose has lost it. They used to spacialise in soundstage and psychoacoustics. Not anymore. Even the Flex 2 is a mono speaker. What is Bose thinking?
@@harrym8556 trouble is they have a lot of stereo processing going on so it requires a sweetspot for listening, kinda defeating the point of a portable speaker. And a single tweeter aint gonna help the processing either.

@@megakebab1702 yes which is why on paper this was exciting but its barely better than the motion boom
@@alanrossreviews depending on your sound preferences...
But the bose is more capable overall
I was honestly so excited for this speaker, I've had the flex for a few months and I've loved it. It's really light and portable with a good enough sound to enjoy indoors and outdoors. In Australia the flex was $250 in Bose website, but you can get it for 150 quite easily. The Max retails for $600 Aud. It's more than double the price of the flex 😮 I'm glad people like you exist as I always picked JBL, BOSE as a speaker. I currently own a Flex and the Blast as per your suggestion. The Blast has been absolutely fantastic!! It's a lot smaller than a boombox and the sound is awesome!
yup these companies are really pushing the boundaries of what they can get away with charging

Why is the left and right channel so jacked up. This speaker is garbo, at least offer options to turn off surround sound or whatever caused that to happen. It sounds like nothing but mud when on 100%.

Thanks for this, you answered all the questions i was having about this thing
yup you need big pockets filled with money for this one 😣
@alanrossreviews to much money for what you get to justify it for me I think
Other than that, thanks for the honest review and If anyone can think of a proper alternative I'd be happy to know.
yeah middleton was awful over 50%.
Love ur work Alan! Keep it up bro! Love watching ur videos!
thanks for that. i dont have the time any more for youtube but i do what i can.
For an uncommon opinion you should listen to some of those underwater, you may get surprised of what the sound does down there.
well that would make bathtime more interesting for sure 👍
what hifi verdict on bose
You can’t really ask for much more from the Bose SoundLink Max.

I like the design the most, and the fact that the passives are covered.

That's a very huge price tag!
It can buy 2 pairs of boom 2 & 2 pairs of motion boom $(130 ×2) = $260 + ($70 × 2) = $140
$260 + $140 = $400
Buying the new motion boom to test out wouldn't be ideal as you can just upgrage the older fw of 00.43 to 00.44 by requesting for the upgrade via email with your serial no & in less than 24hrs, it'll be pushed to your unit, it says on description of the upgrade 'optimised sound quality' or something like that i think, who knows it might sound a bit better than the older version
The only thing i like about the bose is the portability, detachable handle & the hidden passive radiators, it looks cool by design
For me, the only real upgrade I've found of the motion boom is the Tribit Stormbox Blast, deep bass, warm sounding, great value

Hi alan, i can get this for £267 pound, do you still think that is a lot to pay for it.
it has a place, for a compact beach speaker it fits the niche, personally i might buy it., but at £400 its crazy. its punchy, not awful.
Man, everything else in this round-up sounds better than the Bose, quite surprised considering usually Bose's high pricing does actually get you something.
Overall, this round-up just makes the Boom 2 look like a fantastic deal.
I send mine straight back when I found out, can’t pair with the flex little brother 😢
Alan have you ever reviewed the B&O Beolit 20? I wonder how it compares to these and HK?
no only the 17. the beolit struggles for dynamics at low volume, great at louder volumes.
@@alanrossreviews oh okay that not very good for at home listening
I was waiting for the real reviewer... Alan Ross.
😁👍
It is strange that they have included the sophisticated aptx adaptive codec. Motion plus uses aptx and aptx hd which are more compatible with all devices.
i guess they figure the ones liley to pay for this all have modern snapdragon processors 🤷♀️
1: that would be bb3 wifi which would be crazy cheap if we assume all same price
2: bb3 wifi over wifi lossless
3: often
4: define enjoyable, one would assume at 100% you are having a party so bb3 wifi wins
5: its a personal decision motivated by your ears and your bank balance
your thoughts show how subjective our final decisions will be but one can say for most people the Bose Max is overpriced and not the right choice in most circumstances. the fact that you disagree does not make me wrong, it just shows no matter how objective one tries to be there will always be outliers that disagree. The only right decision on what to buy is always your own choice.
@@alanrossreviews the value criteria for portable speakers, holding the rest of the variables constant, can be roughly summarized like this:
sound quality: the better the sound the higher the value.
size and weight: the lighter and smaller the better
functionality: the more functionality the better
Durability: the stronger and more durable the better
Overall look: the fancier, prettier, more elegant the better (There may be more subjective factors here, but I think you'll agree that UE is much prettier than ANKER, TRIBIT.)
Price: the cheaper the better
If there was only one variable, the problem would be simple.
@@youngmike2553 lol, ok 😁
I found out how to get aptx adaptive on my iPhone, I just got a Sennheiser aptx adaptive bluetooth adapter and a USB-A to lightening adapter that I can plug into my phone. It's not ideal but it works, it would be nice if apple and Samsung would support it and not just their proprietary codex so they can get richer by forcing people into the ecosystem.
Bose Max, the worlds most overpriced speaker? its a shocker! = Big Schrot )))))
😝😝
Awesome review good to seen you back. I think that negativity is just everywhere lately because of political crap. But I don't get Bose. They make it really durable but put less effort on sound quality, for the price it should sound better than anything else. It would be funny to see if it would survive throwing it off a cliff.
i think they went for some clever surround processing and it isnt working out well
@@alanrossreviews oh okay it is cool that they were able to get more bass out of it at a smaller size
They are two of the biggest brands with big price tags to match and getting beat by the competition.
I would not buy Bose or JBL.
Jbl 300 is pretty goog. Also portable and it's a smart spesker
I’m curious if the next firmware update will fix the issue
time will tell..................
Just to be honest this speaker is really great when codecs is Hi Fi speaker setup installed and did right masurement so you can get surround sound through all four speakers . And for immersive sound equilty use Samsung devloper option and change sitting on Bluetooth to HD audio which will use AAC codes and you truly like this speaker cos Bose didn't make any codes for better sounding experience.
are you smoking right now?
Not the Xtreme 4?
no, this is another league of overpricing
no cause this one costs more and not really any better
@@alanrossreviews xtremly priced 4 also cost nearly 400$ max
in the philippines 500 dollars is equivalent to the price of bose max in peso bill, around 27 thousand pesos.. super over price
1:32 that's what she said
lol 🤣
I'm waiting for the Earfun U Boom X 👀
🤷♀️😁
I bought a JBL flip 5 and thought it was fantastic so I bought the Xtreme 3. I honestly thought I'd bought a fake one because there was no bass! Soon got rid of that. Tribit stormbox for me at the moment, the Bose can get stuffed 😂
for sure you cant go wrong with the blast for the money, blast 2 on the horizon i believe
Nice one Alan
cheers 👍😁
Is it worth the upgrade from revolve 2+ as I know U like that Ive been stalling to buy the max al
Only bose speaker thats sounds better is the S1.
fair enough, its all about opinions, too many issues for me.
Doesn't BOSE stand for Buy Other Sound Equipment?😅

what is the best EQ settings for the bose max
push the mids
Still no Pro high end solution in 2024. Just hot garbage, fashion stuff, statistics driven products, no heart. Have to buy more subwoofer out of spite. 🤭
@@CrashPCcz well i guess everyone is waiting to see how the uboom x works out? 🤔
8:17 Eyyy!! Made in Malaysia!!!
thats two and counting watching from malaysia, crazy 😁😁
Two minirigs paired would blow this out of the water for a lot less money, Bose are having a laff.
even two motion booms would do that
I would not swap my Minirig3 1.1 set-up, 2 x Libratone Zipp2's or recently purchased Philips TAX7207!! By the way, the Philips while not audiophile or a bass monster can be had for around 112quid via currys clearance on ebay UK, which to me is superb value!!!....but it has an audio-out. Connect up my Minirig sub and WOW!!!!
399quid?....I'd save a little more and try out the Brane X🤔...
Playtime should equate to how long the speaker last at full volume, NOT AT 50% VOLUME!!!! 😡😡😡😡
Also, for 399quid, I'd expect it to be so more feature rich!....Sorry, but my Libratone Zipp2's are simply better as far as I'm concerned, so no need to 'upgrade'.
they do quote max volume too at 3 hours so fair enough
@alanrossreviews 👎🏽🤯😳That's horrendous!!! I think the new Sony speakers have the same stat🤔☹️....Great content as usual, and thanks😊 👍🏽🫡
