I got the CAM Sith Audio RCA cables today. I used them as a leash to walk my dog. They performed flawlessly even when he tried to break away to chase a rabbit!
The Wandering Geezer here, I discovered your channel a few months ago. You’ve inspired me to get back into audio and unpack my vinyl. Thanks for all you do!
my $0.2c. I own the TB10D Fosi. It's excellent value!! Everyone should own this for at least evaluating and setting up speakers and comparing other amps too, IMO.(maybe even endgame unit for budget minded) Sounds pretty great for $69, or any reasonable for that matter! clear and musical and dynamic enough for my needs - plus tone controls! Have one connected to some old Snell CR.5's (properly set up, I may add), and a sub, and it should NOT sound this great! Great product. happy, and so will you be
Recently got an Audiolab 8200CD. Absolutely love it. Compared to the junk I've had before - no joke - my previous was a DVD player bought for £20 in Morriston's in 2011. I own over 4,000 CDs so I figured I should really do something about that and I'm so glad I did. Paired with a Cambridge Topaz amp and Q Acoustics 3020i speakers, it is definitely significantly better than any streaming playback I've ever heard even on far more expensive kit. I'm no audiophile expert and certainly not a tech guy, but I personally recommend the 8200CD incredibly highly.
I have an ONKYO TXRZ 820 for our AVR. Really great for movies, really powerful amp too for a receiver. I agree that the music isn't the greatest, but its pretty good if you set it up right, a lot of power available for 2 channel. Great for just rocking out or whatever. I have a separates system for HiFi when I want to listen to music for real, I gave up on AVRs for music a long time ago.
Bose Soundwear is one of the best buys I've ever made with any speaker. It lasted 7 years of constantly rugged, drenching wet outdoor use with the music blasting Battery just died. May it rest in peace!
Triangle br03 not everyone's favorite, I considered selling them, until I put them on my Mistral tube amp, if you have them they transform into a really good speaker . Honestly ..
It may be great to offer the prefabbed chassis to DIY folks, sometimes that's an aspect that holds us back. I think this is a fantastic idea and having a really great single-ended option that doesn't require the expense of 300b tubes is really really interesting, especially if you offer it with some high-end output transformers! An amp that sells in this price range is the lab 12 mighty, so there is a market and yours would come with high-end transformers and stuff and caps, much better value!

The Ortofon 2m bronze might not be a good upgrade for Everyone. I did extensive research and the consensus is that it is not forgiving At All with less than perfect records. That it really emphasizes surface noise. The Blue is very forgiving. I’ve stuck with the 2m Blue for over 3 years and I’m super happy with it
So in regards to the 2M series the red and the blue share the same body for the cartridge but the stylus are different, once you go to the orange and the black the cartridge body changes and it uses different coils in there, and of course they themselves also have upgraded stylist beyond what's offered with the red and the blue. Now you can put a black on a red body and it will work however you won't be getting the full benefit of the black as you would have if you had installed the entire black cartridge. Basically all you'll be getting is an improved stylist and not the whole enchilada, or the full Monty, you won't be able to have your cake and eat it too.
I tell you one to consider when you can find it on sale is the Sony turntable they've got now, it's model number is something something 310 BT, it's basically the only Sony turntable you can get new now. Anyway I picked one of these up from Best buy a few months ago when it was on sale for $150 and I kid you not it is one of the best budget turntables I have ever heard. I've also got a planar three from Rega and it's not quite as good obviously but truth be said for musicality sake and just being able to listen to the music and enjoy it in my opinion it does everything you want or need
Hey Randy. I have the RTi A9s. They are huge. Considering new towers but I’m afraid I won’t like the new speakers especially because I can’t hear them before I buy them. Thoughts on the Polks?
RP600-M 1st gen... I bought B-stock two years ago for a few dollars less than what they are going for now. (they were perfect- no idea why they were B-stock). I highly recommend at that price. Might they get cheaper? Maybe/probably? But an honest price where they are now.
I bought the Amazon link and used it for several months before replacing it with a Wiim mini. The biggest problem is that it will become 'detached' from your phone - not sure how else to say it. If you start an album or playlist from your phone, you can control what's playing from the Amazon app - until you can't. Usually just a song or two later, my phone will show the previous song on the screen and you can't pause, skip a song, go back - nothing. The only way I could get it to stop was to tell my Echo "stop playing music in living room." Playing a new song required closing out the app and starting over. I liked being able to tell the Echo to play a song, very convenient, but once I realized the Wiim had the same functionality I gave it a try. Sometimes the Amazon app will still "detach" but the Wiim app always shows what's actually playing, and still allows me to control it. The Link obviously has some functionality that the Wiim does not - but for my purposes of just needing a streamer with a digital out, it was an aggravating experience.
Invicta love from me. Have 2 pro divers and a chronograph. They are better quality than the equivalent from the more common brands £ for £, or $ for $.
I have a Crown Studio Reference 2 amp. Using a Sansui AU 717 as a preamp. Speakers are a pair of Tannoy system 115 DMT Studio monitors with a powered QSC 15" sub with a Dbx driverack for crossover. Looking for a streamer/Dac that Would support my massive. collection of music files. I was a Dj for years.

I enjoyed your review. The Gjallarhorn looks very interesting to me. I have a Schitt Asgard 3 that I use for headphone listening; love it. It would have been awesome had you demoed the Gjallarhorn with the Zu Dirty Weekend 6’s you recently reviewed. What do you think of that combo? Thanks for the review.
Randy, you're an instant classic! Aiyma T9 brings out a delightful mid-range in my original unify ub5s... at least in comparison to my sansui au717 :). Have you heard this pairing??
I loved this video the first time I watched it months ago but I gotta say I’m really tired of this specific video autoplaying every time I’m playing things in the background. Randy I think your great and love your content! But daymn, @youtube please for the love of God stop making me watch this video every single day several times a day!! PLEASE!!!! >.
I don't care too much for the chick not tonics either I have a set of the Dole three-and-a-half looks like a center channel speaker I hate I even wasted my money on them
I thought all but the top price M.Coil carts did a P-Mount or 4-TP cart' version They never went away, maybe lessened after CD but rose up with the vinyl resurgence. They're good for folk who can't precisely aline cartridges well. Ortophon did 1 M.C. P-Mount & I still want one for my Linear tracker, alas, they stopped doing that model long ago. Technics also did 1 M.C. P-mount but I never see them s/h since they also stopped making it when CD came out, except 1 Jap' eBay seller wanted £800 & summin for it s/h, I easily passed, couldnt see a stylus on the pic! O'Phon & Tech' never stopped making P-mounts but only M.M.s now. I prefer the Grado Black P-mount M.M. to all other M.M.s (5 or 6 makes) i tried on the only Linear tracker worth buying s/h still, if near mint. The "Sony FL 7 Biotracer" (not the inferior later FL77 not a 'Biotrace' arm & a sad sounding look-a-like. The FL7 has the superb bio-feedback contactlessreal-time variable magnetic damping to optimise matching to any mass of cartridge, uncanny imaging & lifelike'ness, not just a simple ballanced metal beam that any full-witt can design & have made. The FL7 stands up ridiculously well to my much higher priced t/tables. I even bought another near mint FL7 as a spare, wish I could get one of the old but as-new M.C. P-mounts for it tho, I only heard of 2 MC P-mounts ever existing, as mentioned above. The Sony X-800 with more expensive but same tech 'biotracer' arm (as the FL7) now fetch £2000 & + in good con, more in true mint on eBay, yet when I bought my x-800 15'ish to 20 yesrs ago they got 250 to 300 max but since then via forums & sites, folk realise that tech of arm can never exist again, it floored every T/T I had except the Kuzma Stabi with Dynsvector arm & M.C., wish I could put the Sony Biotracer arm on the Kuzma tho. Only Sony had the R & D money to create such a technical marvel, a clever 14'yr old kid could design a ballanced metal rod which all other arms are.
I do not think you could touch the Invicta Pro Diver 5 years ago as a top value for money watch. However, today, the SteelDive 1953 (Rolex sub homage) is more compelling, imho. Price~$80 on sale. A 300m diver with excellent fit/finish, Seiko (SI) NH-35A movement, and sapphire crystal.
