Sorry for the long wait! Promise the next one won’t be as delayed. Life was busy! Hope you didn’t think we were dead! 😂 We are alive and well and still on the road!😉
The wait was absolutely worth it. The tidbit that you were photags in the past explains why you are so good presenting your travels. This stretch of Oregon is stunning. I can't thank you enough for the views.
That is a great coastal road. I worked out in Hillsboro at Intel and every weekend we drove and photographed that highway. Started in WA and finished up in Crescent City, CA. Many great locations to shoot. Good to see some of those sites again. South of Yachats is some great tide pools to checkout on those low tides and Newport harbor around sunset is another cool place to shoot.
I don’t care what anyone else thinks - Corey, you are a freaking Drone Ninja! It helps to have a spectacular blue sky, but still . . . you make the Oregon coast look like a PlayStation fantasy planet landscape. And yes, the search parties were forming. Glad you’re back.
All you have to do is put the drone up in the air on the Oregon coast, it does the work for you (the secrets out🙈😃) oh yeah, and the blue sky 😂 . We’re so happy we got a chance to say hello in person at the RV show! We’re enjoying the weather in S Florida, took in a sunset on key west last night🌅
Finding Our Someday - Corey, I know you’re being modest, but flying a drone is three parts skill and seven parts art. I know this because I’ve spent thousands of hours watching UA-cam reviews of parks, campgrounds, and cities by people who thought all they had to do was get a drone in the air. After having a few vertigo-induced seizures watching these aircraft spin, jolt, and plunge, it was pretty clear the FAA should revoke flight licenses for more than just no-fly violations. It’s a bloody drone crime scene out there. You just keep being you, Picasso. For starters, the Oregon Chamber of Commerce thanks you. Enjoy the Keys, my friends.
We traveled the 101 in September and October. We started in Washington and drove down the coast almost San Francisco. It was such an amazing drive filled with so many magnificent place to explore. Thank you for sharing the tip on washing out electronics.
Living Coast 2 Coast sounds like it was a great trip! We will have to go back and check out more of the coast of California next time. Hope you don’t ever need to wash out electronics like we did but at least you will be prepared just in case! 😉Thanks for watching!
So thrilled you are back!!! That area is definitely on our list... you just keep reinforcing that. You are so right, the America the Beautiful pass is a no brainer!! Safe travels!
Jill Avery thanks for being patient with us! 😬 Really hope you guys can get out there SOMEDAY soon. It is really amazing. We are considering going back this year. 😃
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. video!!! Ive been down the 101 many times but it's been many years now so I can't wait to see your views in the Redwoods. They're so stately and beautiful. The girls will have tons of fun.
I used to live on that part of the Oregon coast as a kid. Then I grew up and took my two daughters there camping and dune riding. Now I take my two grand-daughters there. Can't wait for good weather so I can get back there.
Great video! Good advice about the camera, too. Now, I don't remember exactly, but I think you like the water so much because you were in the Navy (?). Just a thought. May God continue to bless and keep you and your family! May He grant you success and safety as you travel!
Beautiful footage. Even getting drenched by the wave turned out good. LOL. The Oregon coast is one of my favorite travel destinations. Can't wait to get back there some day.
Beautiful video! We drove that section of 101 with friends from Eugene a few years back but the weather was not as nice for us as it was for you! Awesome views. Thanks for sharing!
Cool info about these new-fangled cameras! My sister had a film SLR get dumped into the Bowen River (BC) on a canoe trip in the early 70’s & I think it was saved by a camera store because they kept it wet for the remainder of the trip. In some way drying a digital out makes sense. At the very least the card may be saved.
Just beautiful, loved the video. I cringed when the tractor trailer drove by. I'd be worried driving the 101 with our rig. Like y'all we prefer the quiet time of year in national parks.
Sandy Oklahomatransient honestly that road is pretty easy to handle in an RV. Don’t be scared off, that could happen anywhere. Whenever you get a park to yourself it’s amazing! Thanks so much for watching
Doug Coleman so glad it was helpful. We have loved visiting as many National Parks as we can on our travels and want to make sure people know just how many amazing places there are around the country. 😃
And thanks for sharing. Our launch date is May 2022(last kid coming out of college). I'm definitely enjoying your travels and hope to retrace your steps thru the west coast and Canada. We're Virginians hoping to explore North America when the nest is truly empty.
S and J See the USA after almost 20 years, I’m glad she still wants to make out! My looks haven’t exactly improved over the years, but she still looks the same! 😂
I have no shame in declaring that I am the number one fan of F.O.S. And today’s vid demonstrates exactly why! And great drone footage Corey. Bad luck about the wave mate. Lesson learnt.

Our biggest advice is to drive the 101 North to South so that you can pull off to the right and not have to cross traffic because most of the pull offs are on the ocean side. Thanks as always for watching!
Bandon is another great town to stop. It has a big beautiful beach with big sea stacks and caves to explore. Starfish, crab and other sea life in the tide pools!
Oregon is just beautiful, it looks like fall is the best season to travel down the coast and north to south seems the best way to travel down route 1 as the pull offs are on the same side, you hear so many people say Pacific Coast Highway isn't one that you should travel pulling an RV but you make it look doable. Thanks for taking us along.
Oh yeah you can pull a TT down the coast easy! Also, yes traveling from North to south is definitely the way to go taking pulling off easily into account. Our TT is 35.5 feet long or the equivalent of a 40ft 5th wheel towing. We had room to spare as far as the roads are concerned. Thanks for watching 🙏😊
I thought you guys couldn’t find youtube😁Nice to see a new video. Enjoyed the reminders of our trip last year. Microphone monkey? That’s a new one. Heard them called dead cats but never monkey. Sitting here in the warm sun about 3 hours east of San Diego and after watching the video I’m thinking about how busy the coast would be right now. Lol.

Thank you for another great video. What worries me is that you keep driving on the “wrong “ side of the road! The first time I had to drive on the right was in Norway in winter at night in a snowstorm. Luckily, I just had to follow someone.
I drove a stick shift Jeep in Italy when I was in the Navy once. Driving on the wrong side definitely threw me off at first, at least it wasn’t snowing 😳
Hey you’re back! Always waiting the next FOS! Great scenery! I’m still rambling around the Everglades in the swamps and sawgrass prairie. Will head north to Sebring soon but got to get west at some point for sure. The spectacular views are pointing me in that direction. Best to you and your family!
I love your video of the coast of Oregon. The coast is beautiful. I’ve been where you all were. It was beautiful out when I was there too! No rain on that day. But it rained in you Corey. Where did they wave come from? I didn’t see it coming. Then it was there all on you. Good thing you are ok and I hope the camera was too! Glad you were alright. Driving the coast is scary too when you go around the curves with those big trucks and the truckers hauling the trees. I loved looking at the lighthouses. The redwoods are fun too. And Crater Lake. Hope you went to Crater Lake. It’s nice there. Looking forward to next video. See you all soon!
I was trying to get a shot of the wave crashing , I got way to close😂 we didn’t make it to Crater lake, it was snowing there at the time so we decided to skip. It is on the list for this summer though!
@@FindingOurSomeday That’s a great time to go there. You’ll have fun there. I did. There’s quarter ms floating around with Crater Lake on them. See you soon!
Hope the camera survived 😳 another awesome video, beautiful views. I'd definitely like being there during the off season too, not a fan of crowds. Looking forward to the next video 😄
klbarton81 camera’s good! Thanks for asking! Don’t get me wrong, we really like people, but sometimes it is great to get this kind of beautiful scenery all to yourself! 😃I hope we don’t make you wait as long for the next one!😂
My tied for 1st most favorite place. I love the Oregon coast. Best 4th of July place on the coast, Long Beach, WA. and staying at Ft. Stevens State park just over the Columbia river in Warrenton, OR. Best place for salt water taffy, Depot Bay, OR.
Beautiful video of our Oregon coast! September and October is a great time to go there. Sometimes, you get lucky and and it's 60+ degrees and sunny there in January and it'll be freezing and snowy in Central Oregon. You're from Maine, right? We've been there quite a few times because my husband's mother was from Machias, on the Maine coast. Her father was a lobster fisherman.
Tina Griggs thank you! Yes, it seems we got lucky picking the time we went 😃 we are from Maine. Same for the Maine coast as far as weather differences. The coast will get rain and 10 miles inland you get a foot of snow.
Nice video and music. The Oregon coast is so awesome; love it there - liberals are thick as flies though. Trail Ridge Road thru Rocky Mountain National Park is an equally or more beautiful drive in my opinion.
CDub 1962 thanks! Music is definitely tough to find and match with footage sometimes. We haven’t done the Rocky Mountains yet but it is definitely on the list! Thanks for the tip on Trail Ridge Road! 👍
I had to stop before continuing to add this!!! I have lived here for 29 yrs and my advise to people? Plan on rain from the end of September to July 4th....October is a hit or miss depending on the year. I know that sounds weird but you will have some good days in there but not guarantied. September would be my best time if you can after school starts:)
If your ever back on the oregon coast hit me up. We go to the south jetty dunes at least once a month and have four quads and a 4 seat sxs. Tons of fun and great video opportunities with views, beach riding , etc. You could even take it a step further and camp out on the dunes. $10 a night for the campsites that can fit 4 trailers. My kids love riding right around camp.
