One of my favorite songs ever. I love the vulnerability Paul isn't afraid to express so beautifully with his words and music. What a lucky woman Linda was to know she was loved in her lifetime.
Beautiful. Paul poured his soul out to Linda in this song, and we are all richer for it. Their love was the real thing. I can relate to how much he loved her, because that is how much I loved my late wife, who was only 54 when she passed away a month ago. But I could never write anything as beautiful as this song, so I will let McCartney's masterpiece express how much I loved my Gail. Thank you, Paul. Real love never dies.

i saw paul in concert a year ago, and when he played this song i simply started crying desperately because in that moment the beauty of the song, the strenght of the love put into it was so overwhelming that i couldn't hold it in. i couldn't help but wonder how can someone just come up with a song so devastatingly beautiful, so devastatingly raw. it was one of the most magical moments in my life. i love this video very much, because it truly does the song justice in showing just how much love there is.
It is incredible how Paul was able to express his love for Linda in under four minutes, and have us all feel it. I would love to know how Linda reacted when she first heard this.

I’m gonna cry when him and Ringo die. The Beatles were one of the first bands to really get me into rock music. It was them, AC/DC, and Metallica, thanks to my Dad. I’ve already missed seeing AC/DC with Malcolm Young, and Metallica lost Cliff before my parents had even met. My goal is to see Paul, who has ALWAYS been my favorite Beatle, in concert before he either goes or stops touring.
I think this is Paul's best song ever and one of the Greatest songs ever. Very personal song of love that evokes deep emotions and feelings. It gets me every time
I hated college, esp'y being away from family & friends. As my freshman year neared completion, I'd gotten this album on release day and played Side 1 repeatedly, it was so great. Over & over, before flipping it to enjoy the rest. It lifted my spirits then, as it does today. Words can never suffice to convey what Paul and all The Boys mean to me. Thank you, sir.
my theory about this song is that he's in the middle of something he doesn't understand and that is he is not the real Paul. That would be a heavy burden to continue with, if true.
When you meet Paul McCartney's discography, you can't avoid feel admiration for Linda. A woman who always stay by his side, a woman who was a good wife, artist, activist for the right animals and mainly, a good mother. Wherever she is, all my loving I'll send to you Linda.

Paul and Linda’s story and love moves me so much. She saved him in those rough days during and after the Beatles breakup. They were devoted to each other. I really look up to Linda and consider her a role model. I wish they could have spent the rest of their lives together, but Paul will see her again one day. I fully intend on either walking down the aisle to this song or having it for a first dance. Thank you Paul, and thank you Linda. You helped me believe in love again.
Not on this one, it was never released as a single, recorded in 1970. Later a live version , played a little different was released as a single, that one had jimmy McCullough on it with the rest of wings. From 1977 @denisemorrow9500
I know John was the founder of the Beatles, but I always said if there was no Paul they would never be no Beatles Paul had all the talent you could put any instrument in front of him and he could play. God bless his true legend.
Imagine writing a song this powerful, recording it all by yourself then not releasing it as a single instantly. This would've spent weeks at number 1 in 1970. Just perfection. Thanks Sir Paul for such beauty.
One of McCartney best vocal performances ever, especcialy in the louder parts of the chorus. The unpolished style reminds me of songs like 'Oh Darling', but in this song it's not a character he's playing, here it is real raw emotion.
I am sorry that his wife, Linda died. She was irreplaceable I am sure. Sometimes we remember our loved ones at Christmas or the day that person died and wish they were here with us. Try to have a Merry Christmas anyway.
Im not a religious man but, there are things in this world SO BEAUTIFUL its hard not to believe in a divine entity. This song and many others from this man are some of those things. Thank you, with all my Heart Thank you. ❤❤❤
Think about it, how could a world this beautiful come from nothing? God blessed us with an Earth so beautiful because he loves us so much and wants us to live in this glorious world.

Totally sentimental for me . My first husband surprised me and played this for me at our wedding. We divorced 5 years later ( good riddance) but it’s still one of those take my breath away moments, I will never forget .
The fact that bro played ALL the instrument in this song with some help from linda (backing voice) proves that he's a musical genius. THIS MAN IS A GENIUS we can never get someone like Sir Paul again.. imo this is his greatest solo work.
@@zackb6453 OK.... I respect your opinion. Please respect others & their opinion. John didn't have the amount of time Paul has had to create music so his catalogue is smaller. I think Lennon was great too.
@@zackb6453 John was great, but Paul was way better. During the Beatles, I think they were more or less equal. But during their solo career, Paul had so many great albums like Band On The Run, Venus and Mars, Tug of War, Pipes of Peace, Flowers In The Dirt, Chaos and Creation In The Backyard (an extremely underrated album), and Driving Rain. The only good albums John released were Plastic Ono Band and Imagine. Everything else was OK, but not great
I dont see paul or john or ringo to be the most gifted muscians in the least ..quincy jones had them in the studio and was frustrated why they couldn't nail simple songs but what i will say the made simplistic music oh so perfect and so memorable
You're right. And that's what struck me very much about the video. As a woman with a child from a previous marriage, Linda's pictures chosen for this video mostly show the two persons she loves most - her daughter, and her new husband bonding with that daughter. So the images show Linda's love, while the music is Paul's love. This makes this a Paul+Linda video. Moving.
Dhammadeep Bhagat I just hope Paul was good to her. I read something once that hinted Possibly otherwise, but hope and pray the it was wrong. The source I'm talking about was purely speculating!!!
Saw him a few months ago in Orlando and he absolutely nailed this song, I actually couldn't even believe it! It was never one of my favorites til that night. Yes his voice has changed a bit but he's 80 years young and still has more vocal range than most young singers today in their prime. He rocked it for nearly 3 hours straight and didn't even take more than a 45 second break the entire night.. The. Legend. Man.
How can someone hate Paul McCartney? I really don't get it? I don't think its hatred, its most likely jealously. Because he's successful, Super talented, good Looking and Very wealthy.💗
Linda. Their love. It was truly amazing. And to have a song this heartfelt written for you ... well, it's ... there isn't a word for it. She was really lucky to have him and he was lucky to have her.
Paul had a lot of difficulty when The Beatles broke up and he dipped into depression. Linda encouraged him to go on and make an album. This was his thank you to her for helping him move on.
This song reminds me about my wife. It was her favorite song before she lost the battling to cancer, I wish I could change the hands of time, I miss her smiles, she was always there for me and our lovely daughter, and I never miss a moment with her, life could be so unfair most times, there is some pain, I will cry in vain but won’t let you know how I will feel yes, I will miss you to the core! but some times i wonder why bad thing always happen to good people. She’s always in our heart…
How on earth can a composer simply just churn out such wonderful music & songs, I've been a lover of Wings from the very beginning & cought the end of Beatles, not a day goes by that I don't listen to these guys, Beatles & Wings, just part of life and living, and yes I will be long gone when this music still plays on forever. Awesome ❤❤❤❤
