There's SOMETHING about this song. Thank you George for giving us this masterpiece.
I know Right!!!
George's Beatle songs are the ones I listen to the most although I'm really into A Day In The Life for some reason!
Como ellos, ninguno
It's inspiring to think that George wasn't considered a strong songwriter in his early Beatles years but by the end he proved himself one of the greatest songwriters of all time
Cool bass line! Thanks Paul.
This video is actually pretty sad when you come to realise that at the point of filming this, the Beatles had grown so far apart that they decided to film their own parts at their own homes rather than come together and record it as a group. The video was also shot when McCartney fell into a deep depression over realising that the Beatles were over, and you can really see it in his untidy appearence
Nothing to be sad. As times goes by.
As George said " all things must pass". I choose to look at this as the Beatles simply moving on and the people they're moving on with. There's no doubt that each are happy with the company of their partners at this time. So why be sad
even so, he's the best, the most genuine
Come together
Don't be sad it's over, be happy that is happened
Happy Birthday George. Your contributions to humankind are immeasurable. We’ll never forget you!
Happy spiritual 81st birthday, George Harrison! We love, remember, and miss you. You will always remain a legend as a solo artist and a Beatle. 🧡🎸🧘💜🍏☀️🌙

And he greatly missed!😢
The fact that one band had this much talent still just blows my mind...most bands would be happy to have one John or one Paul or one George or one Ringo...no wonder theyre the greatest band to ever exist.
I absolutely love them but even people that didn't like them have to admit that they were the bomb diggity. I listen to them from the 50s all the way up and you got to admit they changed with every decade

“The greatest love song ever written” - Elton John.
“The greatest love song in the past 50 years” - Frank Sinatra
they said that?
@Sid Patankar And it was the first song I remember hearing!!!!
It is a great song. But George did need a lot of help with it. Thankfully he didn't go with "cauliflower" because "no other lover" just seems more proper. George did have a great voice and he wrote some great songs but I can only imagine what it must have been like being in a band with Lennon/McCartney as the main writers.

The boys agreed at some point that George gets one song per album.
Can't remember what Ringo's first song was.
No, Elton John, you wrote the best love song ever written - from "Friends" album - "This is Your Song" or, "Your Song" (I'll have to play it, next ;). Always a favorite of mine, along with anything from Tumbleweed Connection. Thank you, Sir Elton John, for being a beautiful person.
One of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Thank you George.
I totally agree with you! This song brings me to tears every time that I hear it. I know that the bulk of Beatle "hits" were McCartney/Lennon compositions (and they were BRILLIANT!). However, when George put forth one of HIS compositions, he hit it out of the park!!!!!

Yes John's sense of humor is severely underrated.
George was like that guy that chooses his words carefully and is always quiet but when he chooses to speak it's always brilliance. Not a lot of songs but the ones he did write are all amazing

I think it's so romantic that Pattie, Linda, Maureen and Yoko are all in this video with their husbands. It captures a time when they were all young, carefree and happy.
I THINK YOU WILL FIND THE ONLY ONE NOT TAINTED BY THE STAIN OF INFIDELITY IS LINDA....AND WOULD BE STILL MARRIED TO PAUL IF NOT FOR HER EARLY PASSING..STAY WELL
@@thomasfisher5742 Just prior to Linda's cancer diagnosis she and Paul were on the Oprah Winfrey show. Oprah asked Paul what the secret to their enduring love for each other was. Paul's response was quite endearing. He said that Linda was his "girlfriend" and that he would always be courting her with romantic gestures. He believed that people fall into a pattern once they get married where romance is no longer a priority. Suddenly your relationship becomes more about the bills, the kids, etc. He was determined not to let that happen to him and Linda. I love how much he loved her!!

Simply beautiful. Thanks George.
When you look at George Harrison from his earliest days, through his years with the Beatles, you see his transformation and his maturation. His soul's journey seems to be on display. A wonderful man.
Watch his doco it’s great!
We can see the transformation and maturation of the Beatles and the 1960s as a whole, not just George. He failed to criticize unfairly that he had "no room" while just at the end of the Beatles he took off as a composer (and even his November 1970 triple album includes 4 or 5 tracks on each side and a long and uninteresting jam on the last side). The others always made him stand out when he came up with the right songs and he owes a lot to the Beatles. George was rather stingy and self-effacing, unlike his wonderful companions. But I really like your songs.

George didn't write songs as often, but when he did, boy, masterpiece!
Well he did technically write a lot of songs during the later years, John and Paul just didn't think they were worth putting on albums. I mean George's solo album, 'All Things Must Pass', most of those were songs he had written for the Beatles but had been turned down.
George was just as talented as paul and John don't you ever doubt it! He just did not get the oppertunity to make as many songs with the Beatles...But when given the chance, WOW! wHAT classics
I don't doubt it at all. That's what I was saying, he had 100% success with his writing, even though he didn't write as many. Although I may be wrong in the last part as BronyDan suggests.
He wrote 28 songs solo out of the total 236 Beatles original compositions.
He took longer to mature as a songwriter and they were slow to realize that he had. This was the song that opened Paul's eyes in that regard. The only thing bigger than the Beatles in the 60s was John Lennon's ego.
