  • Hey everyone. This is my first of many video's about being gay and coming out. I'm here to show my story in the hopes of it helping other people. I also hope to just start Vloging regularly about just anything, so that's exciting. If anyone has any question, feel free to ask. Leave them in the comment's or send me a PM. If you enjoyed this video, please hit the subscribe button up top and follow me on my coming out experience. I also would like to say that I've got my motivation to start making videos from all the other gay UA-camr's out there, so thanks guys!

Came out this year 2019 I'm 63 years old I lied to myself and others for 50 years. I buried the feelings so deep. I developed food addiction. Whenever I was in pain or those feelings that I didn't want to.think about came up I ate. A.lot. And did so for all this time. I've been coming out for a month now and just told my sister 2days ago. Today I might not be out and proud but today I am gay and OK. Andy

Andrew, I’m 77 - came out to mom, dad, 2 sisters at 16. No real reaction, so into the closet for 61 years and counting. Came out to my 4 children (yes I married a woman) and a godson. But still faking it, leaving bits of cookies on the path like Hansel and Greta.

It makes me wonder if they got married with a female and forgot and thought it was a stage they were going through. Only one bud and no follow up. He’s cute too, wouldn’t have an issue getting a decent attractive guy or girl.

Your welcome! If I can help one person then I'm happy and I've done my job. I too have noticed that we all go through similar situations, and I love how we can all learn from each other's experiences. It makes the whole process much easier.

The hardest person to come out to is yourself, then the second hardest your family.i give you credit for putting this video out there. It took me about a month to tell my mother, but unlike your mother mine didn't talk to me for a week. Good luck with the rest of this journey.

XLNT vid! That was the quickest 19 min. vid I've ever watched. My experience was different. I kinda knew I liked guys since I was 7 or 8, but I fought against it tooth and nail. When I got to 9th grade, I went to a new school and got a huge crush on a straight guy in my class. When he walked in the room or smiled at me, the whole world lit up. We were best friends until 11th grade when my family moved.
Props on your courage, and good luck on your coming out journey. Hope you find a great BF!

However, my parents were very religious and I knew I was gay at a young age. But my parents told me that they are my parents and would love me no matter what the circumstance. I would like to think you parents would say nothing less yet.. nothing more. I hope it goes well and I only recommend telling when you are ready. :)

I think most of us can relate. Especially with struggling with actually saying "I'm gay" when trying to come out to loved ones. My mother also told me "ok. Be careful who you tell because you can't take it back once you tell them" I told her that I thought I was Bi. (Between bi and gay. Not bi or straight)

If they except gays outside your family, I would think they would be excepting of you. One of the first things my mom said after I came out was "What about kids?". I told her, there is always adoption. I want to have kids in the future, I always have and she knows that, and being gay wont stop me. And it shouldn't stop anyone else. Not all religious people are against gays, and from what it sounds like, I think your parent's may be okay with it. I wish you the best of luck! :D

I had a similar experience with my Mom a few years ago. Then, she tells me, "I love you, but I won't accept your choice." And as we were driving home she told me to ask God for forgiveness. I said, "For what? I haven't done anything wrong. I am who I am and that won't change!"

I was extremely upset a few years ago when somebody wrote about a young boy who killed himself because he was teased over being gay. That man wrote it was a good thing that the boy had killed himself and it had made the world a better place. I am amazed how many boys and young men are gay. I am not gay but I love seeing videos like this because I am a Quaker and I believe in the brotherhood of man and there must be an equal number of women and girls who remain in the shadows.

Knowledge is power! If family, religion, or culture makes coming out difficult for anyone that you know, the following blog post about homosexuality may provide valuable help: “Homophobia: To the Community” homoeroticpoems.blogspot.com/2014/04/to-community.html
If anyone needs support against religious, social, or cultural abuses, this can help them: “On Human Suffering and the Concept of God” - the psychological nature of religions.

Look, it's a young Joey Tribbiani 6 years before season 1 of Friends - Just turned out different - and he hasn't become a horn dog - yet, lol.
As for the parents: 'No you're not' may be as much surprise as anything else. I can certainly see a parental reaction of 'are you sure' - especially if you haven't been throwing off signals. They don't know all the thought you've given it, and most (or at least the best) of them really truly want you to be happy, they don't know if you've actually thought it through. Now of course if you're already sleeping with Jimmy who stays over sometimes, well, that's another story - you've certainly thought that through :)

Of course you know what educated people know, right? That for almost 30 years ago when major studies PROVED that straight males who keep tuning in to what gays are doing, and putting them down are those who have subconcious gay feelings themselves. Not saying your gay but it's probably there since you focus on gays a lot. Males with stronger straight feelings are not bothered by gays since that's just more guys out of the competeition for what they want. Don't be afraid to keep watching gays!
