- My name is Kevin Bono. I'm 19 years old and live in Fresno, California. I decided to make this video to hopefully help out at least that one person that is debating on coming out or not. Hopefully this video helps you out. Love you all! #itgetsbetter

Thank you for your story. If this vid were around when I was 13, I would have been able to accept myself and come out ( I'm 57 now). You have given a lot of young lads a positive way to come out. I grew up JW, and my parents were not accepting as parents today. If I had a video as you have given, I might have had a better coming out experience. I am happy with my life. Thank god people like yourself for being honest
Even though the many of the stories are similar, each person who tells one of these stories has a unique element. I think that, that is one of the best things with having so many of these videos. I've already come out and it was a great experience for me, but I still live to watch coming out videos. I don't know why I just think they are fun and interesting.

I can’t find a coming out story that isn’t years old. Okay, very, very few. We need to continue making these. And it would be great to have people like this video pop out to be on a where are they now video. We have to shake up the establishment, aka, the Conservatives. The GOP, the Republicans.

Ya got way more guts than I do...I was in my 40s before I told my friends even though I was out to my family at 19. Good for you kid...now move forward with your life.
Take it from me the closet is no way to live...you are only young once and after it's over there's no getting it back.

You were blessed to have great support - if you have your family and friends support others don't matter - what really matters in the end is how you feel about yourself.
I can relate during 1991-1992 school year , which was my eight grade year, I fell in love with one of my so called friends who happened to be male. Then in the fall of 1992, when I became a freshmen, I ended up going to the same High School. During the three year time period many things went so wrong. First, the High School I went to was not gay friendly Second, I had to go back in the closet, while I was at that High School. Third, I fell in love with my young High School Algebra teacher. I went crazy that year, any body that talked bad about him, would get angry and defend him. So, my last year at that High School during 1994 -1995 school year. I then forced my mother to take me out of that school. So went to the Technical High School and Night School in 1996 after received my diploma. I thought I would try to be straight gain, so in the late 1990's and early 2000's, it did not work. During, that period of my life I was in therapy lot with dozens of personal meetings. I even thought about having electric shock treatment to try to be straight, but I changed my mind The 2000's for me was also pretty miserable too. But, now in this decade, in my late 30's I finally accepted my self as being gay, because I love men and I was and still am attracted to men. This has been a slow process for me. It not easy being gay it is hard, but if you work at and have a positive and healthy attitude , you will make it. This my story and Kevin you have inspired me to share my story on you tube. Kevin you are so sweet and cute, please stay positive. To the people out there, the Coach that I fell in love with ,while I was in high school are no longer in contact.

Oh my gosh, you have such a positive story that you share. This was a difficult thing to come out and a difficult thing to share your story publicly. I want you to know that this is a really good video nice touch with the music though and I know people that happens to be gay to but I want you to know that I’m not gonna say names of who they are but it is a struggle with life and sexuality and it’s completely normal and I know it is normal will get that you want to work straight or homosexual what should it matter
And I want you to know that and it should not matter at all for anybody as far as religion goes I know that there is people look down on it and I want you to know that I am not in that class of people that is in religion just because they’ll allow religion to get in the way of relationships with their children then you could or disowned our sunned

If you got anybody in your life that ever speak to you ''how did it come to this'' in the wrong ways, you know what I mean. This is what you tell them, you just look at straight into their eyes and you says:
1. Humanity is about as long as we bring ourselves to loves someone else, no matter what colour, no matter what race, no matter what religion, and no matter what gender. Humanity just want us to be loved, and to be able to love somebody back.
2. Religion is about Peace and Mercy of God.
3. Nobody should ever feel belittled for whoever they love.
4. I believe that God will please, and embraces with ours' kind and loving spirits.
5. And in God's eyes kindness and love are what it’s all about.

Being Gay is NOT a choice. Being Bisexual IS a choice, i.e., being attracted to both sexes is a CHOICE. You choose either boy or girl. But being Gay, you're only attracted to the same sex (not a choice). Straight people are only attracted to the opposite sex. If a Straight person argues that it's a choice, all you need to say is the following: "You, who are straight, chose to be with the opposite sex. That means you were attracted to BOTH sexes and CHOSE the opposite sex, right?" You'll then hear a pin drop on the carpet, and he or she will be at a loss for words. God does not make mistakes in his infinite wisdom, where a certain percentage of the population is Gay. Why is a certain percentage of the population left handed, while the majority is right handed? Same analogy. Countless Gay, as well as Straight, are loving, caring, sharing, and productive human beings. Period and end of story.
