when Orumov disappears, a number of men in white coats surround the player. These men aren't "scientists", they're actually nurses working in the mental asylum in which our delusional James Bond is being kept.
@@roddydykes7053 it took me forever to unlock, very frustrating. This and the unlock for “Bond Invisible” on 00 Agent Archives were the most difficult to unlock but totally worth it 😅
Rare have already explained that they programmed Orumov to run away because that's exactly what happens in the film. He runs back towards the start of the level and then disappears just like he does in the film.
I was expecting him to go to the toilet that we enter in the beginning since Valetine goes to the starting point in the Streets level. I was ready to post "Damn, he must've needed to take a shit really bad! XD" if he did go to a toilet.
They really weren’t too bright. There’s two guards in this level that won’t attack you unless they can see you. Otherwise you can shoot the barrels of their guns and they’ll just stand there all day going “OOH! HEE!! YAH!! WHIT!!”
I remember doing the same thing to Boris in the satellite control bunker. I followed him until he stopped running and disappeared. Thinking about it years later, it was just the game moving the character to its despawn point. I suppose the despawn point is supposed to be so far away that you'll never see the character disappear.
Not only that but I guess the game is handling so much data that it needs a less loaded area to do so, Boris does the same in the underground base where he goes to the upper floor to despawn, I remember back in the n64 this very same level would lag really bad if I let ouromov get to the room before destroying the gas tanks
Imo they should have programmed him to go upstairs to the washroom. Enter a stall and close the door. Then the player opens it and he is gone. Down the toilet.
That's pretty much on point. I read that after I posted this. It's the same thing as on Dam you can see an island in the distance that you were originally supposed to go to by boat!
That is pretty much how I imagine movements in the 4th spatial dimension; if someone for example wanted to walk through a wall, then they could do that by "disappearing" from this 3D space, walking forward in a parallel 3D space, and then "reappearing" on the other side of the wall.
I actually chased him myself one time back when this game was still new. It would've been funny if they had him run all the way back to the bathroom vent and have it implied he escaped the facility that way. Seems kind weird they programmed all of this just to give up 90% the way.
I've known this since i started playing this game :) since i was like 6 years old. Pretty funny though, Ourumov just goes all the way back and disappear. Lol
What I want to know is where he STARTS from when the alarm goes off. We never see his spawn point, because it's not possible to go back through the bottling room door without 006 nagging you back in. Anyone figured it out?
You can use the level editor to check it, is not that far away. I used it to check some levels to try to eliminate some guards spamming points, it just works in some levels, sometimes the game just reload the same spamming point once the player exit the area and the game unload it. It works better in Perfect Dark.
He starts out in the lab in front of the bottling room. Once the alarm starts sounding, you hear that door open. If you are in front of the door when the alarm rings you see him appear there.
It seems that Ourumov doesn't appear at all if you exit the bottling room too early after the alarm sound - I tried that a while ago, and I just got a bunch of guards hanging out by the final labs, and Ourumov didn't show up anywhere, not even when I re-entered the bottling room. I guess the game gets confused in some way, like "what? where is Bond?".
@@user-yo8ab1ys9e fair point. You could have done it by using an Action Replay with the invisibility cheat on, you can run right up to him in the Silo mission. I suppose you needed this information 25 years ago and it's fairly redundant to you now
