thank you so much
that's not even the best xcom build you need serial and you need death from above then just sit on a elevated platform and keep one-shotting everybody under you. also you need to run into groups of enemies that haven't detected you so you can get them on auto attack, and have auto run ready. also if you have a very high mobility you only spend 1 turn on running into them.
This must be so satisfying in lost missions. But it's a good idea to edit out the blank loading screen.
When it's the NPC's turn to get the XCOM treatment.
sounds about right, one day I'll be able to get my sweet, sweet revenge with just an assault and sniper character (xcom enemy unknown, sniper would presumably have dang good ground and squadsight)

@@danieli9333 yup, you don't even have to look at files either just, use mind control or haywire.
And this is why I play on recruit, shots just make more sense, its a shame we can't customize the difficulty more
@@athan5647 thats actually a common misconception.
In fact, any difficulty below legend i think are rigged in players favor. For example, roughly every third shot with 33% chance to hit will hit by increasing its actual hit chance, but not showing it to the player, as it feels "fair". But you actually can have 10 33% shots with zero hits considering the nature of randomness, its just pure luck. Only the highest difficulty actually honest with you about your chances to hit anything. Thing is, actual numbers and chances just feel unfair to most players. Noone likes to have a bad luck, and devs just understand that.
Edit: also, i think that every difficulty below legendary actually gathers data on your shots and hits, and increases chances to hit for every shot you miss regardless of chance and targets. So, if you got some amount of misses in a row next shot will be guaranteed to hit regardless of shown numbers, even like 1% or smth. Also, bear in mind that players at any time have innate 5% to hit, even when the number shown is lower, and this number is added to shown chance to hit, iirc.
@@xnxGrinder even so, id prefer something that isn't random every single time despite how high the percent is. If a shot is above 85% id like it to always hit. I dont care for pure RNG all the time, we've all had a dumbass with a shotgun miss a point blank shot atleast once and it can can cost you.

@@tech9d Class: ranger , Gear: RAGE Suit upgrade (heavy amor + heavy weapon + a skill) , Arashi (Shotgun with 4 mods, one of them is a superior hair trigger) , Katana (10 of damage + ignores armor), rocket from the heavy weapon, and probably the upgrade vest or something who provides defense.
Perks: If he invested well, he probably maxed this ranger with all the perks included the random ones you get from the training center. And judging by the Blast padding (a Grenadier Skill who gives you an extra point of armor and reduce explosion dmg by 66%) and Shredder (another Grenadier skill who make you shred armor from the enemy and scale with the tech level), there is a reason why go ballsy.
Also probably has breakthroughs added like the +1 dmg to all plasma weapons , +1 dmg to to shotguns (who scale with tech lvl), +1 to swords (also scale with tech level too), +1 health and armor to powered heavy armor and +1 to all powered armors.
So... so what I'm seeing is the guy has like transcendant reflexes which make dodging practically a guarantee... and he's got like, the sword version of run and gun... and he has an automatic sword overwatch where anything that gets into or tries to get out of melee range immediately gets the cut. That's hot. That's so hot. I love this.
Alien aim sucks on AVG. He has untouchable which allows the next shot against him to miss if he got a kill beforehand. He also has bladestorm which basically turns him into a chainsaw turret.
Maybe my memory is failing me but while this looks strong I think one man army was way stronger in XCOM: Terror from the Deep. I remember playing it with one man army as a kid, one soldier killed every single alien I met on every single mission, everyone else was expendable scouts, so he got ALL the xp. And for sure I remember him beating the final mission alone, in two turns. Again I might be remembering wrong, but I think action points just kept going up with no limit as you gained xp? Something busted like that.
@@Chromodar I guess that means this is more impressive then.
@@linkueicatastrophe9727 In terms of player skill, for sure. This looks like XCOM sent one maxed out guy to do a squad's work. Meanwhile my TftD version ended up feeling like a cheat code towards the end of the campaign, no tactics required.

@@lightningpenguin8937 PC version has glitches yeah, doesn't really matter which version of the game you play you're bound to run into them. The Lancer was stuck dying at a ludicrously slow speed and even after 10 minutes his body still hadn't finished the animation/ragdoll to fall to the ground
As for load times, depends on the drive, my PC I have the game on an SSD so usually it loads in within a second of the "firebrand" interior showing
Whereas on my Switch, or consoles/PC's using hard drives instead of SSD's it takes a really, really long time
"Against all the evil that Hell can conjure, all the wickedness that mankind can produce, we will send unto them... only you. Rip and tear, until it is done."
I’d love to see an action cut of this set to Doom music.
When the literal worst situation for you turns to the worst situation for the enemy, for any normal gameplay the complete failure at stealth and getting ambushed by multiple 1:1 power ratio squad wipe patrols would spell doom on turn 3-4, this was the best uno reverse card situation I have seen.
It's wild watching this compared to One Man Army missions from Xcom 1. It'd take 40 minutes of careful planning and repositioning to get a max level god-tier psychic assault through the mission... And in this, you've got an assault with DLC gear who can just stand in the middle of a field and win anyways.
Metal Gear Rising DLC is really cool, guys, can't wait to give it a try myself!)))
Metal Gear Rising: Tactics
@@victuz I'd actually buy that.
You can almost hear rules of nature in the background
I'd love seeing a mod for xcom with metal gear based equipment from all the games, padded out with concept and non-canon ones too, perhap.
Imagine storming an Advent facility with a walker gear, a genome soldier, a tengu commando (ranger, it's got to be), an msf soldier in PW-era heavy armour, FROG trooper and maybe an Orotnik from the MGSV Oroborous concept designs, facing the lost reskinned as Metal Gear Survive zombie things.
I tried this challenge with every class, including the DLC ones (Templars, Skirmishers, Reapers and SPARKs) and the ranger and sniper were the only ones with which I accomplished it in discount ironman (normal game, no quickloading, I don't want to lose my brigadiers over a silly challenge). Seriously, it's very difficult to do this challenge without a guy who can attack more than once a turn, AND keep attacking off turn too. Plus, the ranger can get "untouchable", which, combined with "bladestorm", gets ridiculously powerful.
Can bladestorm proc untouchable during the enemy turn if untouchable already happened once? i.e. ranger killed an enemy on xcom's turn, gains untouchable, on alien's turn the subsequent first attack misses; if ranger kills again with bladestorm during the alien's turn, does untouchable come back up?
@@disasterjones5798 that's literally what happened in the video
I miss the old close quarters perk for EU: fire a shotgun at anything within 4 tiles. Man, that perk was fuckin' ridiculous
What was your Templars setup? Mine could do this no problem with the default Templar skill tree. Deflect and Reflect both give a 50% chance to avoid damage, so something like a 75% chance to avoid damage, Fortress gives immunity to acid, fire, frost, and explosives, Parry auto-negates first shot, Arc wave gives AoE damage, Ghost lets you spawn a second templar with all the same powers, Reaper can let you finish off a bunch of guys and insta-fill your focus. Channel can really come in handy too with some luck, letting you pop off a ton of focus consuming abilities without letting your focus drop. Not to mention Ionic Storm.
Templars are broken and can do it easily when maxed
Watching you go through that mission with only one person in your squad gives me anxiety.

- The alien empire comes out of nowhere, wrecking small cities in isolated lightning strike attacks, murdering/abducting humans.
- XCOM pops up and gives it their best effort, makes some progress and even manages to win a few key fights.
- The alien empire goes, "Cute, but that's enough. You've had your fun" and then crushes us flat over the following two decades.
- XCOM retreats into the shadows, biding its time, producing warriors like the one seen in this footage.
- Alien Empire: "surprised Pikachu face"

It's War of The Chosen, a Reaper could of completed the mission and evaced before the enemy could of attacked, or killed all of them from concealment without letting a single one attack, or a Templar could of done the psionic version of this with immunity to fire, acid, frost, and all explsoive damage, plus 2 skills that each give a 50% chance to ignroe enemy attacks, mathematically giving him a 75% chance to straight up ignore enemy attacks, before taking hit-chance and dodge into account. Skirmisher has a lot of focus on team work, so not a good choice for solo, but is also just as deadly.
The advent facility missions are so laughably easy for one man army. You can just sneak a single reaper in, plant the bomb, and then extract on the next turn.

I’ve always particularly loved the Sharpshooter and Ranger classes in this game. Out of all the available classes, these two are the ones that most consistently and dramatically go from skulking in corners and taking shots only from safe vantage points, to actively strolling right into a ball of enemies and saying “what up?” Obviously Ranger has far better defensive moves, but both can get to a point where they just wipe the floor with anything Advent can throw at them. She has 69 hp and will flee when you deplete 1/3 of her health bar. If despite that she tries to bind you those burning rounds Would tick over and free you, at which point you blue move into her face again, unload a any other high damage ability from the training center like dead eye, chainshot, or rupture, followed by yet another bladestorm to deplete the other half of her health bar.
I think she would retreat after the first action so realistically you once it's your turn again you could go for a slash + bladestorm for another 20 points of damage. So her health would be in the teens at best. If you get lucky and crit once or twice she's probably toast.
