- hey guys! in today’s video i’ll be sharing a demo and review of the new product from ASP: make it peelable base coat. hope you guys find this helpful and enjoy!

I use Make it Peelable all the time. I bring it to the nail salon - it can be used with any gel polish. You can’t peel it off immediately after you do your nails. You have to let your nail oils work. My gel manicures last 2 weeks then I just peel it off. My nails are much healthier without soaking In acetone. Also when product starts to get gooey, it’s time to replace the bottle. Love this product!
@Miss Wise thank you for the information...just applied the product and was unsure what to expect?!
I think the reason it didn't work for you is because you tried to take it off immediately after putting it on. Speaking for myself I use gel nail polish rather than regular polish for its longevity. If it came off that easy it would defeat the purpose of using gel polish. I normally change my nail color every week or two weeks and it works great for me.
I normally file the nail edge and side and find a place where it's loose and start there. You can use the orange-wood stick but I use a thin metal tool dipped in acetone and i place the acetone between the polish layer and my nail, which basically dissolves the sticky bonder holding the polish onto your nail. You can't just rip them off you have to guide the polish layer off as you detach it from the nail little by little. This has saved me soo much time and my nails are healthier from using this product instead of the regular base coat. Hope these tips help you in the future. Maybe you can post an update.
Exact thing I said it says after 12 days not as you put it on.
You were correct! The reason it didn’t peel was bc you just literally did your manicure so your natural oils didn’t have any time to come to the surface. Which was exactly what you said, so you “nailed” it! it’s great to now have our gel polishes peelable! Great review!
I think I figured this stuff out! It wasn’t working for me, either, except in certain spots. So I decided to experiment a bit, and found that if you do a thicker double coat of the Make It Peelable, it works WAY better. I actually love it now.
Joey Jo Joe Shabadu ok! thanks for the suggestion! i’m thinking of making another video trying it out again.
Thanks I needed this tip
@@katesnails I know this will be a silly question to ask, but can it be used for normal Nail Polish or just Gel Polish?
@@JadenYukifan28she shows and says ASP gel polish.
I saw that this basecoat was 50% off at Sallys at one point and i was extremely bummed that i missed it but this $9+ base coat works the same as my homemade one- two coats= easy peeling. Thanks for the reveiw!
What is homemade one? How do you make it? I bought a bottle of this & forgot about it until today. I only bought the base coat though. I didn't know you had to use a "binder" with it.
Whats ur homemade peel coat please
The bonder is what makes it stick to your nails. Maybe omit that step. I have two other brands of peel off base that don’t work on me. Sparkle & Co and Revel. I’m going to try this with out the bonder.
Oh and I forgot to mention that it helps to soak your nails in warm soapy water for a few minutes for it to loosen and lift...
Good vid. I think the reason it didn’t peel is bc you just literally did your manicure. If you allow some time to pass your natural oils would come to the surface making it then peel as it should. So you were correct, it’s bc you just did it was the problem. I really liked your review!
If you lightly file scuff off the tops of the nails then add a bit of oil then soak in water for 10 min it will peel off very easy :)
So the standard recommendation is to not to apply the peely base edge to edge. Nor to cap off the ends with the peely base for it to peel properly. I believe the result of peeling the gel should be different.
Would the back coat work on normal nail polish or just gel? Thanks.
Been wondering this too, can't find a single answer online! Lmk if you've figured it out ♡
Hello! I purchased ASP base coat for use with dip powder (Revel Nail DP) I didn’t realize it was for gel polish. Since you don’t cure ASP, will it work using DipPowder?
i’m honestly not sure! i have a whole peel base video with more options that i recommend you check out :)
Honestly, I'm glad it didn't come off immediately after u applied it...I mean think about it, you're nails shouldn't be able to peel it off if you just applied it...after 2 weeks with all the oils from your skin and everything else you put your nails through, it should be easily removed
Does anyone know if you can use the base coat without the asp bonder? I just used this base coat not knowing you needed a bonder.. hoping my nails don’t fall off!! 😓
I’m wondering about that right now. How did it work for you without using the bonder?
It works great without the bonder as well.
Do you have to use asp brand gel polish? I already have several bottles of sensationail and would hope to use that.
i assume you could use a different brand of gel polish.
@@katesnails I was assuming that it can be used for regular Polish as well, but I guess it's not possible.....
Thank you.
I think if you would have done 2 coats make it a little thicker and will peel off.
I think your polish didn’t come off very well because you had fresh gel polish on! Trust me I do my nails ever 10-14 days and the gel peels off very, very easily!
I’d love to see an update on whether this works better after a full-length use (7 days or more). Thanks for reviewing this product - I’m still not sure if I’m going to buy it or not 🤔
Joey Jo Joe Shabadu i can definitely do that. i had really high hopes for this product and am thinking it might work better after wearing it for a longer period of time. thanks for the suggestion!
All I have is the base coat, you think I could use primer to replace the bonder?
Also I wonder if using 2 coats of the base coat might help??
Jessica Martinez i do think you could use a different primer replacing the bonder. i’m pretty sure the bonder is just a primer for their brand. i can try applying 2 coats of the peelable base and see if that makes a difference. thanks for the suggestion!
The primer then peel off base worked!!
Jessica Martinez good to know!
You have flawless nails and fingers ... wow.
first 🤠
marisa schuldes we love a sister stan
I read on the package that you didn't need to cure with the light!?
Dana Burlingame yep! you only need to cure the gel layers.
