    Thank you so much for doing a video about the peel off base. I have been trying to figure out which one would be the best and exactly the proper way to use it. 🥰

    I have been using the peel off for stamping on my nails. When I started I was buffing the nail. I stopped that and now use base coat, matte top coat then the stamping peel off 2 coats dry fully between coats (mine is latex type ) I don't buff nails anymore. The matte coat acts as though was buffed. I have kept some on over a week. I am rough on my nails. Gardening, wash dishes, open pop cans etc. Just letting you know can use the matte finish top coat.

    Sarah, I have a painful thumb also, and the visit to the osteopath helped so much. He prescribed a gel which is anti-inflammatory, and it really reduces the pain.
    Peel off base works well over a top coat without having to buff the nails. If wanting nails to stay on until a refill is needed, only put on a thin coat of peel off base and do not go up to the cuticles, but go to the other end and just a but underneath. I find the builders gell and polygel nails stay on as long as I want them too. Taking them off is the same technique as this video, only I use hot water. Using a nail steamer is even better!!!

      I've been wanting to try polygel but with peel off base coat. No one seems to have a video showing that. So do you prep nail as usual, dehydrator, add thin layer of peel off base, cure, wipe off, and then start polygel??? Hope you will respond thank u❤❤❤

    I'm re-learning the fine dexterity to apply nail polish, thx to discovering gel nail polish, after a 35+ yr hiatus from putting weird chemicals and colors on my nails, and acquiring all the necessary "stuff" for gel polished nails. So, since I'm a bit of a newbie, I do still have a few "booboos" where I get gel polish on my cuticles and the skin around my nails (but I'm getting better all the time!). You may think I'm an insane masochist, but the way I get it off is with the 5 minute gel polish remover, and then using the "needle" bit on my efile at low speed on those spots. I have quite a few fine line-drawing brushes, so I cut the length on one of them, which makes it "scrubbier", and use that to get the polish remover on the booboos without messing up the nail -- and that combo works really well, but that remover does burn a bit, on the skin. But I get tidy nails, so it's worth it to me! It only burns for maybe a minute. You could try that method where you have polish and staining under the nails.

    I use peel off base coat for House Of Borgia ™ artistry nails ™ all the time! Keeps my nails in excellent condition and I can pop them off when I want. I also have a few other methods with it that allow for longer wear without damage that I'll be sharing on my channel and my TikTok now that I'm starting back up again. Lol, it's handy being both a scientist and an artist!🎨 😊❤

    Since you keep these nail you could reuse them by putting acrylic powder/solution on your nails and putting the old nail design on top of the acrylic and it will practically glue them on….saves you time of having to redo them.

    Wow, that was awesome Sarah. Were these gel, or acrylic nails? I have been doing my own nails fir about a year now, but have managed to totally ruin my nailbeds. My nails literary refuse to grow and whenever they do, they are so thin and peel right off. It's super painful. I think its a combo of menopause (yeah, that right there is a bitch) and the wrong method to take them off.
    I am currently using special stuff on my nails and added a high dose of calcium. Once my nailbeds have healed and look normal again, I will try again. Off now to buy the peel off base coat. Thanks lovely, you rock!!🙂

      You can use peel off base coat over those nails now, as long as you follow the correct instructions. There will not be further damage and your nails can look good now. Check out my comments on 10th April 2023 for some extra info.

    How do you apply the nail tips once you have the peel base coat on

    • @valdeeracruso1734
      @valdeeracruso1734 Рік тому +2

      When using full or half cover nails, the peel base should be used before sticking them on, and using a builder or polygel is better than using glue.
      Fist prep of course, then gel or acrylic base coat (then I do 2 coats of thin builder gel) then adding top coat which is the strengthening foundation to prevent damage to natural nail. No need to buff the top coat as peel off likes to stick to the smooth nail. For extra wearing time, add only a thin layer of peel off down the entire nail, but not into the cuticle or touching the sides, but paint along the bottom edge. (Two coats will make them lift earlier.) Nails can be stuck on now.
      A little bit of filing and prying up the peel off edge at the sides or from the cuticle, should undo the adhesion and after the hot water soak, should come off easilty.

      Well, if you need solid holding perfect bonds, then I would recommend avoiding peel off base coat. But this one held perfectly for three days, I had to pull them off and use water and oil for o remove them. X

    Thank you for doing this video. I cant use gel on my natural nails. Would you do several coats of regular clear top coat instead of gel or would i be better off doing a thin layer of clear acrylic then applying the peel off. It gets confusing when you have reactions to gel products.

    • @NailsbySarahBurchett
      @NailsbySarahBurchett  3 роки тому

      If you are having reactions then it could be that you need HEMA free gel. That might help. You could try normal nail polish, but I’m not sure how good it would be hun. Xx

    Since I'm not an influencer or a content person with a channel. I can't see any reason to go through the amount of time and effort you took to do those nails to have them last a couple of days. I like the idea being able to easily peel off poly gel nails in maybe 2 or 3 weeks but not 2 days.

      As in my comment those nails can stay on as long as needed by not putting peel off too near the cuticle of the sides, and paint the nail varnish over that.
