I've not tried Halo Taco yet (although now I think I need to!) but I've found that UNT works so much better than Sparkle & Co for me as well. Although S&C works really well for my daughter, who has more oily nailbeds than I do, so maybe that's a factor? For me, as far as wear, I will apply 2 full nail coats of UNT, do my mani (I've done polish, gel, and dips) then I top with a gel top coat and make sure to cap my free edge. When I do this, I can get 2-3 weeks of wear on a mani (on the rare occasion I don't get bored before that). I just lightly file the edges to break the seal and they pop right off. I think I'm actually going to get the Sparkle & Co peel base because the Unt works a little too well. I have my dips popping off a few hours after I do them and since I'm not a swatcher I would like my manis to last at least a week. Great video!

I love the makarrt peel off base .. it cures for 60 sec in Uv/led it’s by far the best I’ve ever used .. you can put/build whatever you want on top acrylic, gel , hard gel ,regular polish it wears just like it would normally..

This is a great video! Thank you for taking the time to try all of thhese out for us, it's very informative. I have found that using a glue based peel off coat (like Sally Hansen) under hard to remove polish does not work as far as peeling. When used with non-actetone polish remover, it does make polish removal a lot faster for me. I have also used Elmer's glue around my nails as a barrier when doing stamping, I'm allergic to latex which makes it hard to find a paint on nail barrier. Using 2 or 3 coats of Elmer's that I've put in an old, cleaned polish bottle has worked fine for me. I've never tried dip nails or used any peel off base to remove nails since I'm a hard gel user and want to keep my nails covered for a few months, using regular nail polish and not gel polish.
How long does ur mani last with it , can i not apply it in entire nails to make it last longer can it be applied just in the middle straight stroke 1 straight only to last
If the Sparkle & Co peel off is PVA glue based it is logical it feels a bit like latex since PVA glue is a kind of latex. Therefore PVA based glues will work better as a "liquid latex", while CMIT/MIT based white glues will work better as a Peel-Off base. So for those for who the UNT/Holo Taco peel off base's come off way to soon, just try a CMIT/MIT based white glue (and not PVA based products like Elmers glue).
I have seen where some people only apply it 3/4th the way up the nail (not going to cuticle line) then dragging that down to the tip. So they don't touch the sides or cuticle area. They said it still pops off easy, but lasts longer than using base on entire nail.

Even when I use UNT which is good quality. It really varies from person to person. Just wanted to add this just in case someone does experience peel base damaging their natural nails. 😅
Not using something beforehand makes gels and dips too hard to remove. THAT is what's damaging to natural nails. I stopped using dips all together (before discovering peel base) because the set was time consuming and were lifting by weeks end 👎🏽. I prefer gels, my nails are healthy and much stronger.
I will just stick with regular base coat because i am a nail peeler and if i use peel off base coat the nail art will go away along with the peeled off nails so i don't use that.

I recently purchase from sparkle and co (which I love their powders thank you) the fire opal, I thought it was a true regular powder color base off description and pictures and when I got it, it was a chunky mess and applying was a nightmare! It’s been 2 years since this video was released but I just came across it, I used the UNT peel base on a few separate occasions and it did not work for me at all, I use full coverage tips, so I put 2 layers of clear dip and applied the peel base, I followed a video by caroleannette, so I would do it correctly, but it ended up lifting my tips within a few days, It’s like it soaked through everything.
I love the Holo Taco Peely base coat but it does pop off easier. If I used your “stripe” down the middle method with Holo Taco or UNT, would my nails last a little longer? Thanks for the info!❤️
Ok..so here's my problem. I KEEP something on my nails always...whether it be clear dip or gel polish...as i need the strength. I have tried UNT, SALLY HANSEN, SPARKLE & CO and NAIL ADDICT. NOTHING...and i DO mean nothing peels off...nothing lifts...and i cannot find the peel base when over clear dip or gel. I file sides....i soak in warm water...nothing EVER pops off. I cant even break a seal. But...i DID manage to rip off both pinkie nails.i like to change my manis often but peel base just doesnt work...for me over clear dip or gel. Is there a secret to this..???
hi! i'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with this technique. for me personally, i don't even file the edges or soak before just popping them off. my best tip would be to make sure the nails are SUPER smooth. it is critical that the dip powder is very smooth so that the peel base can come off easier. i also recommend maybe applying two coats for extra peel-ability. i hope this somewhat helps!
My biggest problem is not being able to differentiate between the clear dip and the peel base. I never have lifting so its hard to tell where to start prying
I used a peel off base coat under gel nails and for some reason the gel polish did not want to come off, I’m gonna use it for when I want my nails to stay on 😭😭

So for the peel off base coat.. When you do a clear dip then the base coat can u put a colored dip on or gel polish and the base coat will make the color come off easy. Weather its a dip ppwder color or a gel polish.

Peel base looks easy and convenient for us nail techs to "remove" when clients come back in the salon... but it worries me for the actual clients who may chip a nail or experience lifting... then they will end up taking the WHOLE polish off! This is probably best for personal use. I can't imagine using this in a salon setting and having a client literally take their whole nail off lol
i totally agree, this is definitely better for personal use. it only lasts a few days so i can’t imagine how soon clients would need to come back and get their nails redone or fixed. 🤍

This is the only problem I have with this system the brush from the base dry fast and also that my dip powder starts to pop up from my natural nails which whiting a few days which I don’t mind since I like to change up the color and plus I hear it happen because your nails start to grown I am working with shirt nail well now there a bit longer.
hi! typically the brush will harden due to an overexposure to air. i would recommend trying to work a little quicker. it could also possibly be due to excess powder on the nail drying in the brush. to fix these issues you can simply place the hard brush into the brush saver to soften the bristles!

hi! i assume you’re referring to nails lifting without the use of a peel off base? if so, it is crucial to prep correctly. this means pushing back and removing the cuticles as well as buffing the shine off the nail plate! another key piece is to make sure the product applied does not touch the skin.

If you did the bonder and dehydrator before the peel off I think you would get a longer application

hi! i do think this would make the nails last a bit longer but not more than a day or two.
I use unt. I found that it peels reliably with regular nail polish if you give it 24 hours to cure.

i can totally try to do so! it’s exactly the same process you would use with dip liquids the only difference being having to cure between layers.

i find the best thing to do is apply cuticle oil daily and try to minimize the number of times you do your nails in a week.

are you asking about using the peel base under the nails to stick the press-ons on? i would say it probably wouldn't work for that purpose.
