I love how Marge actually appreciated Homer's intelligence he put into the scheme. And is actually supportive of it even sending Lisa to her room because she's questions the moral stance of it 😂.
Why this works over new simpsons 1. Fast paced humor 2. Bart and homer bonding in a real (simpsons real way) 3. Marge being a actual straight man over the wet blanket 4. GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA!!!
Sometimes I think people are just being haters when they say old Simpsons was miles better..then you watch it ad you realise the difference is crazy lol idk what happened but damn
"Hellooo, fishes! (Burps)" *Banner smashes window, grabs hold of Barney* "Listen, rummy! I'm gonna say it plain and simple. Where'd you pinch the hooch? Is some blind tiger jerking suds on the side?" "Yes?" *Best part!* 😂😂
...wait... how did Bart see Rex through the rear-view mirror, when the trailer is clearly blocking his view? This is fishy beyond belief, and i don't trust it. It's a conspiracy of the highest caliber.
I'm just going to say it this episode is Breaking Bad summed up in under thirty minutes but with a different ending. Think about a bald man with iconic facial hair (and later a nice hat) teams up with a young accomplice to make money doing an illegal activity, the cop in charge of the case doesn't catch on to who the criminal mastermind until it's too late even when all of the evidence was right there and when the cops finally catch on it's too late to actually do anything to the perpetrator, also the annoying character gets yelled at.
I love when Homer and Bart team up for a father son mission.
Agreed. Nowadays it would involve Lisa, and the whole episode would go downhill
Meela Wheatley yes, that was another good episode.
The lard racket.
Them fighting George Bush was pretty great 😄
Bart loves his father and call him dad was sweet
“…but without beer, prohibition doesn’t work!”
Holy smokes, that’s an amazing line.
"I'm not gonna lie to ya, Marge....so long!"
I remember laughing at that line when was around 15...and it still makes me laugh"
Technically he didn't lie hahaha
I love how he was 'considerate': he really didn't lie
It's probable the most honest Homer's ever been with Marge.
I love how Marge actually appreciated Homer's intelligence he put into the scheme. And is actually supportive of it even sending Lisa to her room because she's questions the moral stance of it 😂.
This is definitely one of Marge’s best episodes. You see all the different sides of her character.
Like breaking bad
LET HIM EXPLAIN!
lisa is not taking the moral stance. she is taking the legal stance bro
lmao bart too
I'm more interested on how moe sends the balls back to homer.
frank jaeger for that matter how does the ball get down there at all. If you look back you can see the ball has somehow go UP a pipe. Hah.
Chain lift.
Through the bowling alley's ball return system, obviously.
I’m interested in how that beer isn’t foaming over when he pours it out
@@eyebinmcranda4871 Fat Tony's mafia build the bowling alley.
45 bucks for a glass of beer aged in a bowling ball...I guess The Simpsons invented craft beer too
Is it illegal beer. They're paying for risk.
You can really taste the illegality
@@davidhong1934 The secret ingredient is crime
And thats 45 bucks in 1997 dollars.
Why this works over new simpsons
1. Fast paced humor
2. Bart and homer bonding in a real (simpsons real way)
3. Marge being a actual straight man over the wet blanket
4. GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA!!!
This was a good episode, and typically I’m a fan of Season 7 and earlier.
cause they had writers
the new simpsons dont
@@princessmarlena1359 that true. I mean Season 8 was last one should been finale 3:37 (that my favorite part)
@@princessmarlena1359season 8 is one of their best seasons in my opinion but this was the last truly great season…

"Wait a minute, I forgot to make sure the coast is clear, ahh it's probably clear"
*Marge and Lisa standing 6 feet in front of them*
Didn't even see them in front of them
BEER!!!!
I've watched this episode somewhere in the triple digits, and I still giggle at the gun joke.
the night-time scenes from these old episodes are so cool
Yeah such good atmosphere.
"We're going out, Marge! If we don't come back, avenge our deaths!"
"All right."
I’ve used this line at work when I was called to the boss’s office.
they finally put lisa in her place got my favorite episode from that one line
Dude me too.
They're donating a dollar from every beer to amnesty international.
I can explain, marge. Please let me explain! OH,WHY WONT YOU LET ME EXPLAIN?!?!?
beer
Back when the writing was perfect!
Season 1-8 is best one just for me it has something of charm
I loved how even Marge agrees with Homer about that 200 year old law, that law was ridiculous
"Go to your room Lisa!!!"
Yeah sorry good F the law
I love how proud Marge is of Homer at the end
Good Old Simpsons and their attention to detail. Paying homage to Edward Hopper @3:16
Simpsons was gold in the 90’s
This is honestly one of the best scenes I have ever seen and it’s seems underrated
Family sedan outruns cops.
You'd think they'd all just go to Shelbyville to drink. I guess the rivalry really does go deep!
1:29
Definetily Frank Grimes
3:15 is a parody of the famous painting by Edward Hopper - Nighthawk
They also featured that in the episode 'Old Money' where instead of Banner it's Grandpa
Marge: GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA
Bart: GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA
Homer: GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA
🤣🤣🤣
I just noticed, even the wheelbarrow appears to be pointing Lisa to her room. 😂
4:40 LOL, I love how they treated Lisa like Meg there. 😂😂😂
Go to your room!!
Truthfully, I’m with them F the law and go to your room kiddo.
Sometimes I think people are just being haters when they say old Simpsons was miles better..then you watch it ad you realise the difference is crazy lol idk what happened but damn
I think the turning point was at when the movie came out.
45 bucks?! This better be the best tasting beer in the world! (sip)
You got lucky.
"Dad! Knocking over gravestone is bad luck." "Really? I heard good..."
😸
Without beer prohibition doesn’t work
This scene epitomises how Lisa was inspiration to Meg!
"Hellooo, fishes! (Burps)"
*Banner smashes window, grabs hold of Barney*
"Listen, rummy! I'm gonna say it plain and simple. Where'd you pinch the hooch? Is some blind tiger jerking suds on the side?"
"Yes?"
*Best part!* 😂😂
3:15 Edward Hopper
Marge is right. This is probably the smartest thing I've ever seen Homer done.
3:45 restaurant owner: hey, are you pay for that?
You know Lisa’s annoying when even MARGE Is saying “go to your room Lisa “
1:28 that grave stone homer destroy was Orville Simpson
's gave homer's grandfather
"Family Sedan outruns cops"
Bootlegging is how NASCAR started in the 40's
when you little kids are old enough to drink you will be so happy when you hear " Go to your room Lisa!"
The vigil scene 🤣🤣🤣
2:22 - 2:35 I love these lines.
I wonder who that mysterious figure at the Duff Brewery was
BUUUURRRRPPP
homer crying at 3:58 LOL
"You've barely touched ur banana kaboom! "
3:16 Edward Hopper Nighthawks
Lisa should learn to think for herself.

Marge: Beeer!!!

Alright!
2:03 going bowling
Won't be back
Avenge deaths
Mom! Prohibition may be unpopular, but it's the law and we still have...
GO TO YOUR ROOM LISA
Personally it’s these subtle companionships with Homer in these Simpsons plots that subvert our expectations
Moe: Here you go, Barn. That'll be $45.
Barney: $45?! This better be the best tasting beer in the world. (Drinks the beer) You got lucky.
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's still a classic LOL love it
Hello fishy!
Best episode ever
I like how they team up
3:36 this scene gets me every time
1:28 (Me knocking over a gravestone)
Me: Sorry!
Greatest episode ever
Such a fun episode
Marge needs to stop living in the past.
Not back, avenge deaths.
Best example for the golden age of the Simpsons
1:04 - 1:14 this aired during the every simpsons ever marathon on FXX
Best episode of The Simpsons
if anyone cares that diner shot is inspired by Edward Hoppers Nighthawks painting.
3:21 Feels like America to me.
Mmmmm Beer
2:50-3:00 Happened to me when I ordered a glass of Anniversary Cask Strength Edition of Four Roses. Gotta admit though, was worth the money.
I love This Episode
Go to your room Lisa!
My brother has been randomly quoting "suck like a fox" for more than 20 years now
I love when they all agree Lisa sucks. She isn't always wrong, but this was an instance where she should've read the room.
"Besides he only breaking a silly 200 year old law.."
2:35 **dances to the music**
I feel any beer to Barney would "taste like the best beer in the world".
The beer is flat if that happens in real life
Douche
Then it's non-alcoholic beer...
Frank Miranda Still beats drinking tea. You take what you can get
Here we go, Barney that will be $45.
Boom, kablammo! Oh sorry, please excuse me.
With all the shaking in those bowling balls when Moe opened the ball the beer should have fizzed out like crazy.
*Sigh* You don't get episodes like this anymore.
Li'l Lugger is a U-Haul knockoff spoof
Going bowling
Not back
Avenge death
😂😂
...wait... how did Bart see Rex through the rear-view mirror, when the trailer is clearly blocking his view? This is fishy beyond belief, and i don't trust it. It's a conspiracy of the highest caliber.
Bart must have X-ray vision!!!
What is it, a magic rear-view mirror?
"Before! Before! You live in a past, Marge! Quit living in past!"
45 bucks! In Latin america translation was fifty bucks!

The detective is unquestionably in the right, but its a shame people are that desperate to sin.
He was not in the right to shoot at Homer from car to car after they were driving away with the kegs.
So this is how meg griffin is created
what's the name of the chase music 1:27?
1:50 "You living in the PAST MAAAAAN!"
2:49 "Here you go Barn, that'll be $45 bucks."
