Colombia is a developing country, not a third world country. Common sense is to keep your backpack in your lap. I just came back from MDE. I'm a young, solo female traveler. I traveled throughout Colombia with my backpack in front of me and I kept all of my valuables hidden in my hotel room (under my bed, closet, mattress) and didn't let anybody enter my hotel room. The locals looked at me like I was crazy but I'm not new to this. I have street smart.

    You do look Colombian.
They must have clocked you are a foreigner.
I was last in Medellin in 2012. Only there 4 days but thankfully nothing happened.
    Watching from Somalia.

That sucks Casey, at least you are physically fine and nothing violent happened to you. Treat this situation as a lesson learned. Stay safe🙏

@@caseyvloge8827 good video I'm planning on visit El poblado Medellin. My buddy said do not show off do not draw attention. Because when I was in Brazil I did not carry a whole lot jewelry. And plus I always hide my wallet. I'll probably do the same thing in El poblado hide my credit card and carry less Columbia cash

There is no such thing as a good area in Medellin or Colombia. When they tell you in a good area don’t associate it to USA. It just means the probability is lower to get robbed but is still higher then a USA equivalent to a good area . Safe travel

      Yep
My rule is always be prepared to be robbed especially 3ed world countries. I got robbed in canada only few hours away from home and my life turned into a living hell i can't even call home they call it long distance. Be safe

That’s very derogatory calling “ 3 td world country “ like that
However the USA is way more dangerous than many “ 3 rd world country “ an absolute term from the Cold War
The term developing country is the current term

Gotta start putting your bag between the chair so they can’t grab it or keep it close to you.

@@elcesar999Poblado ain’t the hood bruh. It’s literally the most affluent part of town, and considered by many to be the safest. Tourist ain’t visiting the hood in America either. If tourist did want to visit the hood in America, the locals will tell you not to go there because it’s dangerous. They won’t tell you it’s safe as long as you don’t do anything stupid, they’ll simply tell you not to go to the hood.

Is getting worse now.😢. Tourists are getting robbed even in their hotels when they leave their luggage in their hotel rooms by hotel staffs. Aside from safety concerns, kidnapping, drugging, phone snatching walking by the streets 😮

Casey, how about touching base more often with your subs?
    Especially when vacationing solo..
And especially in what's considered non-tourist zones.
Plus, I'm missing hearing your usual female companionship and the odd legs shot..😙✌️🙏
