Kurt’s Spanish has certainly improved since his earlier videos. I like how his Spanish accent adjusts to the local dialect as he travels around Latin America. Keep uploading the great content bro! You gotta hit up Puerto Rico! 🇵🇷
Kurt, great message at the end. That is the truth, I’ve been to a few places and not all places are as bad as the news makes it out to be. Exactly, as you said “Don’t be stupid!”… People are kind, nice and do want to help if they can. If you go with an attitude of superiority and are out there doing things you shouldn’t be doing, then yes, places and people become dangerous. Great video, it’s been almost 2 months since i was in Colombia and I want to go back, already… I ❤️ Colombia 🇨🇴 ✌️
Kurt knows what he is doing. His confidence and faith in himself is what is keeping him safe. He goes into these areas carrying a certain kind of aura and attitude and that's why nobody bothers him. The term "it's about how you carry yourself" is extremely important. I'm not saying he could go into a warzone without being killed, but he can avoid harm simply because of his attitude. I love it personally, it is inspirational
Attitude, backed up by CAPABILITY. Dont fool yourself. Kurt is a grappling master, and can wrestle with the best of them. Can you? Do not compare yourself with Kurt
You can feel Kurt is right at home with his positive energy and pride for Colombia. I look forward to hitting the streets with him every time! Thank you for sharing the unfilmed and otherwise forgotten places and shining some positive light. One love ✌️
Thanks for showing the world that kindness exists in even the harshest circumstances. Most people are not bad or evil, they just live in bad circumstances.
Really getting into your videos, Kurt, you seem so friendly and yet you have such strong confidence and presence about you ….going into these dangerous areas. Interesting to see parts of the world I would never discover from my home in Britain… I love the way you Vlog …..always interesting content, @12:12 found it really funny as the bumpy ride was making your voice go all wobbly…
“Not everyone is bad, some people have bad circumstances”. I respect you for recognizing that and showing that people are not bad, my brother, I wish you continued success and safety.
Kurt, you don’t have to always go looking for the most dangerous places you can find. Your videos are interesting enough as they are. Thanks for showing us places most of us will never see in person.
Kurt dude... You are probably the perfect guy to go to these places to give everyone the courage to one day do it themselves... Keep amplifying the humanity my guy!! Awesome Stuff
And that’s exactly what I’m thinking, I’ve live in Cali my whole life and always scared of going to Siloe but always curious about this hood, now I know how to get there and with who 😊
I have social anxiety and holy shit I would kill to have this kind of confidence, especially somewhere unfamiliar, and especially somewhere DANGEROUS! I'm in awe of how you interact with people and how they mostly respond in kind, good stuff man keep being you.
I have severe social anxiety. The only thing works is exposure therapy. Also what helps is instead of wondering if they like me or not I ask myself if I like them.
I had debilitating social anxiety also and the best medicine is getting out there and greeting complete strangers with a warm smile and light in your eyes. Most will engage you in a friendly way and joke with you, etc... You'll soon notice that it's YOU that has brightened their day and made them smile, and that gives you so much confidence and so many feel goods it's infectious and you'll want to do it again over and over. 99.9% people watching you walking in a room confident are not judging you, they are envying your confidence. Hope this helps!
Compared to some of your last videos, this feels more authentic like your older videos used to. I feel like you went back to basics one this one. Great video kurt 🤘
As a caleño, I appreciate you take the time and effort to show what this city really looks like, and please be more careful next time you go to a dangerous place.
i feel like any hood any bad area they are more suprised to see a foreigner than they are to rob or hurt you and after watching alot of kurts videos there are always people warning you but usually nothing happens
My coworker dates a guy from Siloe, and even though it is strange for her to be seen there as an obvious gringa, it is better than other areas. Being careful is a requisite throughout Cali though.
What a great video. I love watching you greet everyone and they know exactly who you are. I’ve tried for years to be as fluent in that great language as you are. Once again great vid.
Im a local here in Cali, and i can assure that Kurt put himself on the fire line because of the way he looks and the places he went. Very courageos! Cool stuff!
“Not everybody is bad, when you get out there in the real world you’ll realize that most people are actually good and would prefer to help you than harm you” -Kurt Caz That’s so wise 🔥
Man I can’t believe that I just read about the USA . I can understand why someone fear would fear visiting this country , but as with any country , we have so many people good people here . As with anywhere we have bad apples but using a little common sense goes a long way.
True. Though in some cities and neighborhoods, the odds of encountering a bad person who likes to rob, rape, or murder goes up significantly. Knowing where you are may save your life.
The situation with that saying is that you’re taking a great risk into shortening your life span by willfully putting yourself in dangerous situations just to prove a point. A simple example: Kurt meets a cute girl, she shows him around, takes him to her house, gains his confidence and when the timing is right, he finds himself surrounded by thugs without his camera. I would never wish that upon anyone but I’ve said this since his early videos. For all the people out there that want to defy reality, PLEASE do NOT put yourself in his situation. I’m not saying never visit a place like Cali BUT if you do so, make sure you go with someone you KNOW. I fear for him, I really do because to me it feels like toys around with luck and thinks he’s untouchable.
My fiancé is Colombian and I just visited/met her family for about a month last year. Cali gets a bad wrap but it is an incredible city with some of the friendliest people I have ever met. This video filled me with joy. Keep doing what you’re doing bro ❤️
I love this guy! So glad he’s back with a new video. There is no travel vlog that is any better than his. Raw, unfiltered, unrehearsed, unedited. This guy can charm anyone. I’m living vicariously through him! Keep up the good work!
Total respect for traveling into some of these rough areas. That combination of confidence, politely engaging with locals in their native tongue, and deference to the culture and customs is a winning strategy wherever you go.
Ya it's kinda dumb to say though, cuz you can think that all you want but the fact is when you go to any bad part of the world you're more likely to run into bad circumstances and bad people. Positive thoughts aren't a substitute for watching your back
Best travel UA-camr no debate. You get to see stuff you don’t see with other UA-camrs. It always amazes me that Kurt can seemingly be in a sketchy situation but somehow get out of it. Goes a long way when you’re friendly with the locals and engage with everyone, even the people who give off a sketchy vibe. Shows that you’re respectful but not a pushover.
That guy Peter Santenello is amazing too. His videos are so good. He travels to areas of the US that ppl are often interested in but never travel to. And it’s not overly edited like this channel

I think his race would play a much bigger role in the danger he would face by going to US hoods, unfortunately. Plus we have meth'd up people left and right in those areas, so it's really not a matter of confidence, it's a matter of a crazy people stabbing you for no reason.
It is ridiculous to compare American hoods with 3rd world places that are poor due to many reasons. Versus American hoods that are poor by pure stupidity.
It's refreshing seeing the people and interactions in these places. My ignorance led me to think this was nothing but drug cartels and people lived in a constant fear but it appears no different than any other place as far as most being genuine folks making a living ,working and just going about life.
Kurt: "Where's the most dangerous part of the centre?" Local: "Obrero" Other people: "Thanks, I will do my best to avoid that place" Kurt: "How can I get there?" I love that you keep showing that even the places proclaimed as dangerous have their bright side too. 😊
This is actually what’s otherwise known as “stupid”. It’s the same reason when I hear people going missing in these areas, I don’t feel the least bit sorry lol.
I am so happy to see the Kurt and content we all fell in love with. These good people recognizing you and your appreciation warms the heart. Keep up the good work and hope to meet you one day.
Been going to Cali every year for the last three years! You really showed their culture and I applaud you for that. I've actually been down some of the streets you just walked on. Thanks for the memories. Consider me subscribed!
@@Muzzaa For me it was my first time outside of the USA. It was at that time completely foreign. There was nothing identifiable. The restaurants, the food, the buildings, the hotels, the customs, etc. Even the music was foreign. It was as if I had traveled to another planet completely. Also, I will admit that the women were different in every way. They had different priorities than American women. They also did not approach you or make the first move even if you made eye contact. If you approached them, they were always polite and conversive. The danced to Salsa music - not hip hop. They never got drunk or acted sloppy. They were classy in almost every way. And yes, most were very beautiful. They did not even know how to act snobbish or entitled. Unfortunately, I was the only member of my group who spoke Spanish so I spent most of my time translating between my friends and the women they were talking with. Finally, women fall into one of 2 categories. Either they are a prostitute, or they are very Catholic and looking for the love of their lives. There's not a lot of "I'm just dating around and see where it goes" like we do here in the states. Sorry for writing a whole book, but I didn't want to be vague with my answers.

Kurt, some polite advice, there are some folk who live in such places who will no doubt dislike you walking through their area's with a camera and advertising you are "not afraid".........some of these people will see that as something to challenge and deal with - and some of these people do not fear potential consequences. Such places also have some genuine good people. You mean well, though be very careful with your decisions as to what you are doing/where you are going. I've grown up in such places though in a different part of the world. Take care

Great video, it’s been almost 2 months since i was in Colombia and I want to go back, already…
I ❤️ Colombia 🇨🇴 ✌️
Taxi driver: “it’s dangerous”. Kurt: “ok I will see” 😂
Kurt knows what he is doing.
Kurts not about to listen to a guy with his airpods in upside down.
Attitude, backed up by CAPABILITY. Dont fool yourself. Kurt is a grappling master, and can wrestle with the best of them. Can you? Do not compare yourself with Kurt

Really getting into your videos, Kurt, you seem so friendly and yet you have such strong confidence and presence about you ….going into these dangerous areas. Interesting to see parts of the world I would never discover from my home in Britain… I love the way you Vlog …..always interesting content,

“Not everyone is bad, some people have bad circumstances”. I respect you for recognizing that and showing that people are not bad, my brother, I wish you continued success and safety.
Oh people are bad. It’s not all circumstantial. But yes, there are many good people conditioned or in rough circumstances.
and its a choice what the person does under "bad circumstance"...and the choice is decides if ur a bad or a good person.
I think 99.999% of people are good ones. We can turn bad when we are in bad mood (our whole lives or even in one moment).
And hurt people hurt people.

I have severe social anxiety. The only thing works is exposure therapy. Also what helps is instead of wondering if they like me or not I ask myself if I like them.
@@Freshadventures_ How long until it gets better?
I had debilitating social anxiety also and the best medicine is getting out there and greeting complete strangers with a warm smile and light in your eyes. Most will engage you in a friendly way and joke with you, etc... You'll soon notice that it's YOU that has brightened their day and made them smile, and that gives you so much confidence and so many feel goods it's infectious and you'll want to do it again over and over. 99.9% people watching you walking in a room confident are not judging you, they are envying your confidence. True. Though in some cities and neighborhoods, the odds of encountering a bad person who likes to rob, rape, or murder goes up significantly. Knowing where you are may save your life.

I have agree with that but would hasten to add add that could apply to most any country in the world.

I went to CALI the first time I went to Colombia about 10 years ago. My friends and I spent 9 days there. Unfortunately, I was the only one who spoke Spanish. It was an unforgettable experience. I've actually been down some of the streets you just walked on. Thanks for the memories. Consider me subscribed!
Why was it unforgettable?
