- "I drank it, I kissed her neck, and the next thing I know, it's 11 o'clock in the morning" - Omer's seemingly normal Tinder date in Medellin was going extremely well. Nothing out of the ordinary - No red flags! Yet, he still ended up being another victim to be drugged with scopolamine and robbed while on a date.
The last thing he remembered is 'sharing' a beer with his date and giving her a kiss on the neck! BUT, if there were no alarming warning signs, how did he still manage to get drugged and robbed?
The moral of Omer's story - NO ONE is immune to being victimized by organized criminals who methodically prey on, then drug their victims with scopolamine. It could even happen to you.

I just got date raped in Bogota. Airbnb host found me unconscious after I didn't check out for two days. It took 6 days to get back to the states and get a phone. He ran up a few grand on my credit card but drained my checking account of $10k and I'm negative. To add insult to injury, Apple won't honor their theft coverage on my phone because he managed to turn of "find my iphone."
I don't know who to even talk to about it. I feel defeated.

It's interesting how the locals try to blame it on him because they think it's an evil they can't avoid. They should work on punishing the people responsible by finding them on tinder because I bet they are finding more victims.

what was your experience like?
Unless the dude was told 100% he was drugged with scopolamine by official and toxicology test results he was likely drugged with Clonazepam, they are easy to acquire there and the bitter taste seems it was a sedative overdose. These druggings overdoses are all put under same incident but in reality it's not scopolamine being used most of the time

I just watched another vid interviewing the ring leader of a gang with eight women who do this, but they also imprison them in tiny rooms for upto 4 days while they drain their cash at ATMs. He said his girls will hit about 100 guys over a weekend period, making upto 10,000USD each. It's horrifying stuff.

Super honest dude. That was textbook. It's amazing how many people don't know that this is happening there. Also people are just naturally getting comfortable the longer they are in a place. The longer you are there it is easy to happen. It doesn't happen to everyone but it is certainly easy to do. These girls know how to put you at ease. That was an excellent question about being taught about date rape drugs. That needs to be a primer before a Colombia trip.

In Colombia girls dont go back to a guys place unless they know them well. I also grew up in the states but I am from Colombia and came back in 2016. The culture here is not like the states, if people do a 1 night stand its in a hotel. No one ever goes to their apartment/house. But yeah man you def gotta get some more street smarts if you want to stay in Colombia, they will eat you alive here. Sorry it happened to you but you guys are saying no red flags, I heard at least 3 that would've told me to get the fuck out of there.
I met multiple Colombian women that Came back to my place the same day we met but eventually I got a bad one and got drugged and robbed, will not be going back anytime soon, things have gotten pretty bad lately

For several weeks, I was systematically drugged and robbed of over $100k in Oregon and Northern California this past year. The perpetrator/s over dosed me a few times, leaving me with nerve damage from a stroke one overdose induced. On another occasion, I experienced the most violent hallucinations you can imagine. The withdrawals are terrible. The worst part though is the PTSD ha. On one occasion, I could hear the perpetrators' footsteps and derisive laughter, but i could not see them, because they had hypnotically suggested that I would not be able to. I would come to with bloody and broken knuckles, puncture wounds on my body, abrasions and wounds on my head. Once I came to and all of my pubic hair had been removed, presumably with Nair. The situation has been financially devastating for me. C'est la vie.
Please ask the girl to allow you to SEE and to photocopy of her Federal ID before inviting her for a date!
And if she refuses, bounce.

I've seen so many YT videos on this, it makes me pass on Colombia...There so many other places in the world, why bother? Are men that desperate to get laid or have female companionship that they feel the need to travel to such places? I spend time in countries for the history, culture, language and the food. If I meet a nice woman, great. But, nothing in Colombia about any of those appeals to me...
I can't speak for all men out there, but I don't think that the only reason people go to Colombia is for the women. For some people, Colombian women are the most beautiful in the world. For others, not so much...
Colombia has a lot more to offer than the women - including biodiversity, culture, carnivals/festivals, language, great weather, and well....food (this one is questionable). Not to mention some of the warmest and friendliest people on earth!
Personally, I think it would be a shame to pass on Colombia because of scopolamine.

Besides, I prefer to be better safe than sorry...Getting "Scoped" or the chance thereof, is not on my bucket list. Just like skydiving, getting a motorcycle, unprotected sex and other avoidable risks, that just aren't worth it...
If you want to live a long and healthy life, a surprisingly easy way to do so is to simply avoid unnecessary risks. I've known people that are no longer here just because they took those few unnecessary risks above. They all died young as well, because of it...

True, I went to Colombia mostly because I like vallenato a lot and was going to get an accordion, and I had a great time. If your sole reason for going to colombia is for partying, drugs and women, you’re safety is at much greater risk.

This guy is such a lame. He said he’s from ATL. I am sure he has been robbed multiple times in Atlanta. What would make him think his experience would be any different in Medellin. FYI, I've lived in Medellin 14 years now and never been robbed.
I don't know about ATL, but Medallo has gotten worse since COVID. I've been here 11 years now, and never been robbed, but I hear about this stuff more often now than ever. That being said, it's pretty harsh to judge someone out the gate. It seems like it's just an unlucky thing to have happen here. The good thing is that Omer is candid enough to share his story, and seems to have learned from it. I hope other guys learn from it too.
