One thing I've learned about upcoming pokemon games is that the cooler the ideas you think they'll implement, the less of them that will be in the actual game.
Well they'll usually implement them, its just that they'll get rid of just as many things, and on TOP of that the new things won't work or be useful. Like seriously auto battling is so fucking useless, its only "good" for harvesting tm resources... But that means they ruined tms again by making them all one time uses.

i love the idea of being on a ride pokemon that swims through the ocean or flies through the sky, game exclusive areas could be olympis (need to fly to get up there) or atlantis (need to dive down to get down there), ride pokemon could be a pegasus or a sea serpent (such as the one in the tale of perseus)
I loved Hoenn. I remember playing it on emulator back in 04. It was raining outside in RL and it was raining on my game too which was very wholesome. My first starter was Treecko.

I'd rather a Legends game that takes place in Hoenn then another Gen 3 remake tbh, call it Pokémon Legends Delta Emerald maybe and be similar to PLA in ways, Starters should be Squirtle, Chimchar and Chespin maybe, but I'd love a Gen 2 remake in 3D or a Gen 5 remake/sequel tbh, or a Legends Johto or Let's Go Johto maybe, so yeah
You overlooked New Zealand. The Philippines might be the most likely... Wind and Water are heavy concepts in that region, as well as East and West are significant due to the Philippines being known as the Gateway to the East for the Western Countries. I wouldn't say no to the ideas you've brought forward though, that would be just as exciting... (The deeper reason I think this might be the most likely is cause Japan and the Philippines have been working together on many projects recently...) A lot of people in the Philippines are active Pokémon Fans across the board in all the games.
The hint praying emoji might also be like about catholicism which Philippines is. I think also its the only major archipelago with tons of islands that is predominantly Catholic. But it might be Greece as well, since I think Greece is also mainly Orthodox Christian (from wiki) so who knows.

My best guess is that it will be Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn with perhaps a new region to connect them. This would be perfect for the 30th anniversary by showcasing the foundational regions of the series, updating them for modern technology and state of the Pokemon world, and would be reflective of the codename Gaia, that is, world. Maybe we'll even get some other regions thrown in as DLC or small portions of them, like we did in Gen 9 with Kitakami and Unova.

We are long overdue for a combined Kanto and Johto remake on modern consoles. It’s also worth noting that Japanese view their country on a West and East axis. Whereas most Westerners see Japan on a North to South axis. After all, Tokyo means “Eastern Capital” and Kyoto “Western Capital”. The 30th anniversary is also coming up so it would be fitting.
8:10 East and West? I don't know if anybody thought of this or mentioned this, but I remember in the gold and silver games they let you revisit the region from the first games. And if memory serves (it's been a while) the two regions were actually connected by land. Specifically it was like traveling from West to East and back again. So the theory of a revisit seems like it could be super plausible.
Though imagine they build up from that and allow visiting to even more regions based on the Japanese islands. If it were to be designed more as an open world, they would flesh out exactly where those regions are in relation to each other in pokémon world, maybe showing how since the time of those original games, those independent regions are now more interdependent thanks to improvements in travel and industries. It'd be cool if it were a game that required you to traverse those regions together rather than how it has done in the older games like gold and silver of one region to unlock then the other.
I would love it if they based a Pokémon game out of Scandinavia as a whole ❤ a lot of people assume its just gonna be cold, but it's definitely a seasonal thing over here just like gen5s mechanic of changing seasons ❤ plus a lot of water, forests and mountains
A pokemon game that revisits multiple or all prior regions could be a series of Islands. That was my original thought when I heard Pokemon Gaia, Pokemon World, a game that covers multiple regions of the Pokemon World.
I always wanted to see Sootopolis City expanded cuz it was such a cool looking city but it had barely anything in it. So yeah, I'd love a Greek based game. I'd also love to see more fantasy landscapes. Like Futuristic spaces like Atlantis or space even. Pokemon is a fantasy game at its core afterall.
People saying Greece also forgot the maps shown in the Scarlet Violet DLC which show Sealand regin from the Netherlands, as well as the usual vacaction photos Masuda likes to do way in advance, which again, show photos from the Netherlands. And there are multiple island in the Netherlands as well, including the largest manmade island.
Netherlands would be such an odd country to pick out of everything tho. It's small. We don't have as much active and interesting wildlife as neighbouring countries to base pokemon on or a great amount of rich folklore that would work imo. Hell we basically have no real nature left apart from some very specific places that are relatively small. As much as I'd be honored to have it based on the Netherlands I just don't see it work for a mainline game. They'd have to branch out a lot into the colonisation era and pull from that part of history to fill it with an interesting game-world, but that could clash/feel out of place OR go at the expense of other future areas that would simply be vastly more interesting. There is much easier and interesting places in the world that they could (and should) base a mainline game on. And I don't say the above with any hate or disregard to my home country or anything. I think you could definitely make an area in a Pokemon game based on some areas in the Netherlands. I just don't think it would suffice or be expansive enough to build an entire game around. If they'd manage to make a banger title based on it tho I'll literally take those damn games with pride into my grave as they'll be buried with me like treasured relics lol
If it's named Gaia, I'm going to hope for Pokemon in space. Jumping between colonies on space rocks is kind of like island hopping. And while there are several confirmed space-born Pokémon like Clefairy or Minior, it was just never explored further.
Let me be straight: I don’t think it’s Greece. I think it’s Northern Brazil! Gaia symbolizes “Forests” which North Brazil has a lot of. It’s bountiful rivers and fresh wind fit “Wave and Wind” And it also fits “Too Much Water” as Brazil is the Biggest water reserve in the world.
What they should do is make a version where you get to explore all of the regions challenging all gyms add a few exploration side quest like mews jungle or helping a professor discover a new prehistoric region while fighting off thugs such as team rocket and team galactic and put some more motions in the battles instead of just saying your team dodge an attack actually show it or when using moves like protect actually show the move being deflected and add a new item like a groveling hook to climb with
I absolutely love the idea of more regions connecting like Kanto and Jhoto. A new region connecting with Sinnoh would be perfect in my eyes plus it would breath new life into Sinnoh because both times going through those games we've been mostly limited with the Pokemon available
If Is really Greece, they already made a lot of Pokémon base on greek mythology, like Arceus. Arceus name literally is taken this 2, Arc meaning Higher like in Arcangel, and Ceus is Zeus the higher god of the greeks. Thats why ArCeus is the god of All Pokémon 😊
The Idea I had was: An alternative timeline Region. Where the "islands" are modified Kanto/Johto ETC Regions. Like a small scale version of those regions, with some different parts added. For example the mount moon is clearly as the OG mount moon but with different looks. You also get alternative timeline Pokemon instead of regional forms. Different stats and types. A usually tanky and bulky Pokemon is now a sweeper and vice versa. Alternative Chars could also be cool. Giovanni is not the leader of Team Rocket in this game, he hes a good guy here. Jesse and James are Gymleaders. Cynthia is a professor. We have a dad not a mom !
Since we already got a tropical island vibe in hoenn i think the island in Scandinavia would be a great region to explore since it's colder and instead of a tropical vibe it's a winter vibe like sinnoh
Greece would be cool, but I do agree about the weather thing. It's the lore I want. Another to consider that I think has been overlooked is African savanna. Combining Greece+Egypt into one region is my top want. #2 want would be Australia. Regardless, 10th gen is a big number, you know? And if their codename is Gaia, Mother Earth, right, damn it, it seems almost not worth considering anything else - it seems bound to be Japan. It has been a very long time, after all. And we do know Japan loves doing Japan things. I just don't think it's very exciting, at this point. Makes more sense to scratch the Japan itch with kanto/johto stuff and then use something new and unusual for the newest gen of games (I obviously am biased to my own dreams).

Those two regions were not too recent now I want to politely say that incorrect because it’s been over just about. 10 years for sun and moon. And it has been about five years for sword and shield, so yes, I completely understand how you’re looking at it but also it wouldn’t hurt to go back to both regions because they could always find a way to spice it up instead of just having it the same old thing like as a positive thing And since I found your UA-cam channel, I found it very interesting on information I get to hear i’ve even got back to some of your older videos and they are very informative for me to watch because I get to learn new stuff that I never knew about which I think is awesome

I understand the Orange Archipelago was just a filler arc of the anime, but from what I recall it was a pretty large region all in itself and never received a proper conclusion.
No. I loved the Orange Islands in the anime it was such a fresh idea. To base the Big 10 there would be horrible and we kind of deserve better than a Welfare League The Anime made up as fun as it was to watch on TV. I would NOT be opposed to visiting The Orange Isles in a DLC for Gen 10's Greek Region though kind of like how we went to Kitikami in Scarlet and Violet and it being a Side Region taking us closer to Kanto but I don't know why you'd ever want to back there. I am good 😉 with Kanto and am done with that region. I will only revisit Kanto if I watch the Original Pokemon Anime for it was at it's best in the OG series.
Ever since I finished playing Gen 9 my biggest wish for Gen 10 would to be able to go back to every single region in the previous Gens, 1-9. Like going back but with a different story, like maybe you’re a student or researcher studying in the other regions. But if they don’t do that (which I think will probably not happen till the last Pokémon game ever) I would love to see a region based on Africa. Having an open world African region where you ride in a jeep would be so freaking cool
y'know, Orion works with Gen 7's Celestial Thematics, Titan works with Gen 8 & Dynamax, and Gaia works with Gen 9 having been the first completely open World experience... >.>
I just hope for the 10th gen Game Freak puts it standards on a higher level and produce an actually good game that works at least without technical issues
I really miss the concept design of the old legendaries. Ones like Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, or Reshiram and Zekrom, and even Yveltal and Xerneas, some of who were massive and actually impactful, and also looked like creatures that belonged to their types and elements. Zacian and Zamazenta were all right considering we were exploring ancient, medieval-like legends (although the Fairy-type for Zacian was weird). But Koraidon and Miraidon were really disappointing, especially since they're not even proper legendaries, just future cyclizars. Terapagos was a mini save for the game. But I genuinely hope they'll go back to those kinds of mascot legendaries
Ive been waiting for a pokemon game based in greece and i was hoping they made regional forms for machamp conkeldurr etc. I would say types like fighting, psychic and rock would play a huge role in that game.

Now none of this is of course confirmed but if Gen 10 is indeed waves and wind and based on an Archipelago, there's a real possibility that it could be based on Okinawa. Especially if the idea is to revisit a Japanese region. Considering it's both the 30th anniversary of the games and the 20th year since we last had a region based on Japan.

Well maybe its called Gaia because they literally put the World as "Region". Starting with Kanto and then expanding the World an Map region by region with DLCs so you have full access to all regions in the end. Then the Phrase "too much water" would also make sence since the world got about 70% water on surface ;) With that kind of Setup Nintendo would just please so many fans out there and also geht them a good base for a MMO transition and stuff also featuring the new Switch 2 with all its improvements. I am just Hoping for that to turn true.

I'd personally love to see the Philippines become a generation. They have a diverse culture and folk-lore and you get the best of both worlds with it having vibes similar to Japan but still in the Mediterranean environment.

I suppose a colder region would be a change of pace after Hawaii and Portugal/Spain. Nordic countries have some bigger cities, but also a lot of "empty" land with no noteworthy architecture, sights or big cities. I suppose that leaves a lot of room to imagine what all there could be. If we ignore the idea of islands, a colder region could be based on Russia or Canada. Not that I think gen 10 would be based on either, but maybe gen 11 if gen 10 is inspired by Greece.

i feel like based on their pattern after leaving japan for regions i feel like it probably won’t be mediterranean just because 9 was literally that. i feel like it’s probably gonna be something like the Galapagos / Americas or in South East asia/ Oceania. I think a region based on something like the Philippines, Indonesia or Papua would be really cool but idk if they’d pick something like Philippines or anything closer bc of history and relations. idk how the countries are now but perhaps theyd stick with something a little further from home
If Gaia realy means going into the directive of defending earth it could also mean going back to alola as we are now being reintroduced to megas and the only main game other then gen 6 which featured megas was gen 7 it could be an inclusion to the mega setting to ad on to this the ultra beasts were present in the alolan games which could be a conection to gaia and defending the earth what also ads on to this would be the archapels or ilands which is also preasent in alola but not only that the ultra spaces are like little islands as well maybe we get new ones ore get to explore more in the ultra spaces or even more eciting playing the main part of the game in them so i think alola could be a realy reasonable game to think of for these games
About the location that gen 10 will be based, i think it'll could be the south-east asia part of asia just because of the tropical and the many island there. I mean kommo-o (the gen 7 psuedo legendary) kinda looks like the national animal in indonesia or komodo. Maybe tropical-based location would work for gen 10 (or 11) and bring back the old tropical-like mons from older gens But the greece theory is looking strong tho
It would be nice to revisit the Japanese archipelago as well as the Hawaiian one, as well as the state of New York, be able to create a region based on what we haven’t visited yet in each of these three regions. I know one of the DLCs for Sword and Shield sort of takes us into the equivalent of Scotland, but what about a whole region on Scotland, as well as Ireland and Wales as well! With Galarian Meowth, it would be nice to even see a region based on the four Scandinavian countries.
Greece would be nice, but I do agree with your points on it. I think perhaps either another Japanese region, as you've shown a large portion of unused locations that could be very interesting (perhaps another rural-based region like Kitakami?), or perhaps the one I'd REALLY be hoping for is one based on the Phillipines. I won't claim to know much about it, but every dip into the culture I've seen has made it more and more interesting, and it would certainly fit the Archepelago vibe. And rather than hot and arid, it's at least hot and humid, with jungles abound. I'd love to see what that's like!
There's one place on Earth that's often overlooked regarding archipelagos, it's Sweden. Known for having the most islands on the planet. Wouldn't a Pokémon game be perfect for that location, no?
The only way they can pull off Kanto and Johto in a new remake would be using the concept of past or much more in the future. But if it’s the same timeline we re sure that most will skip because I’m not up to face the same storyline. Also a concept of Pangea in the game uniting generations on buying extension packs probably would be cool because using old Pokémon’s sometimes is nice.

Once Gen 10 finally gets released then I hope that the fully evolved grass starter of Gen 10 will join next smash/possible smash ultimate deluxe port as we never gotten fully evolved grass starter in smash bros for once. I believe they need help with where to go with things and wanna know what people think so they let some things leak just for that. You can change things in the beginning and names and titles are easily changed.
I always thought it would be cool to have a Pokémon region based in Brazil or India. I would like to see the Pokémon version of Rio or the Taj Mahal. Maybe have a Pokémon based on the festival of colors, where their special move involves throwing brightly colored powder at their target; the color depicts the effect it will have. Plus it would fun to hear that Brazilian carnival or Bollywood music playing in a Pokémon game. For China, I think it would be cool if they implement something with kung-fu for the gym leaders. Like each gym leader is a kung-fu master that specializes in a different type of fighting style based on the Pokémon types they use. As a kid, I remember having an idea of a fighting type gym leader being depicted similar to a Shaolin monk.
the chances could be that Heart gold/soul silver gets another remake. after BD/SP remake it would make sense to remake those. and with the theory of kaze(wind) for Ho-Oh and Nami(Wave) for Lugia. + the East and West hint. HG/SS got Johto and Kanto so east and west could be the way to go on this hint but idk.
Germany has also a lot of Islands in the north sea and east sea. about twenty to be exact, which , if they would orientate on the northern parts, maybe put in Netherlands and Denmark too.

Could fit with the water comment since we have an absolute fuck ton of lakes, Newfoundland and Labrador exist, and we also have the Borealer Schild which could work with Gaia if it relates more to the idea of overwhelming nature rather than Greece. i love the idea of being on a ride pokemon that swims through the ocean or flies through the sky, game exclusive areas could be olympis (need to fly to get up there) or atlantis (need to dive down to get down there), ride pokemon could be a pegasus or a sea serpent (such as the one in the tale of perseus)
and maybe the third legendary can be inspired by serberos and also by hades.

You overlooked New Zealand. The Philippines might be the most likely... Wind and Water are heavy concepts in that region, as well as East and West are significant due to the Philippines being known as the Gateway to the East for the Western Countries. I wouldn't say no to the ideas you've brought forward though, that would be just as exciting... (The deeper reason I think this might be the most likely is cause Japan and the Philippines have been working together on many projects recently...) A lot of people in the Philippines are active Pokémon Fans across the board in all the games.
The hint praying emoji might also be like about catholicism which Philippines is. I think also its the only major archipelago with tons of islands that is predominantly Catholic. But it might be Greece as well, since I think Greece is also mainly Orthodox Christian (from wiki) so who knows.

I'm really hoping for a griffin and/or Pegasus based pokemon don't care if their legendary or not.
My best guess is that it will be Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn with perhaps a new region to connect them. This would be perfect for the 30th anniversary by showcasing the foundational regions of the series, updating them for modern technology and state of the Pokemon world, and would be reflective of the codename Gaia, that is, world. Maybe we'll even get some other regions thrown in as DLC or small portions of them, like we did in Gen 9 with Kitakami and Unova.

It’s also worth noting that Japanese view their country on a West and East axis. Whereas most Westerners see Japan on a North to South axis. After all, Tokyo means “Eastern Capital” and Kyoto “Western Capital”. The 30th anniversary is also coming up so it would be fitting.

8:10 East and West? I don't know if anybody thought of this or mentioned this, but I remember in the gold and silver games they let you revisit the region from the first games. And if memory serves (it's been a while) the two regions were actually connected by land. Specifically it was like traveling from West to East and back again. So the theory of a revisit seems like it could be super plausible.
Though imagine they build up from that and allow visiting to even more regions based on the Japanese islands. If it were to be designed more as an open world, they would flesh out exactly where those regions are in relation to each other in pokémon world, maybe showing how since the time of those original games, those independent regions are now more interdependent thanks to improvements in travel and industries. It'd be cool if it were a game that required you to traverse those regions together rather than how it has done in the older games like gold and silver of one region to unlock then the other.

When I heard Pokemon Gaia, my immediate thought was Pokemon World, that is, a big game that might cover a large amount of the Pokemon world.
A pokemon game that revisits multiple or all prior regions could be a series of Islands. That was my original thought when I heard Pokemon Gaia, Pokemon World, a game that covers multiple regions of the Pokemon World.

I always wanted to see Sootopolis City expanded cuz it was such a cool looking city but it had barely anything in it. So yeah, I'd love a Greek based game. People saying Greece also forgot the maps shown in the Scarlet Violet DLC which show Sealand regin from the Netherlands, as well as the usual vacaction photos Masuda likes to do way in advance, which again, show photos from the Netherlands. And there are multiple island in the Netherlands as well, including the largest manmade island.

Netherlands would be such an odd country to pick out of everything tho. It's small. We don't have as much active and interesting wildlife as neighbouring countries to base pokemon on or a great amount of rich folklore that would work imo. Hell we basically have no real nature left apart from some very specific places that are relatively small.
As much as I'd be honored to have it based on the Netherlands I just don't see it work for a mainline game. They'd have to branch out a lot into the colonisation era and pull from that part of history to fill it with an interesting game-world, but that could clash/feel out of place OR go at the expense of other future areas that would simply be vastly more interesting.
There is much easier and interesting places in the world that they could (and should) base a mainline game on.
And I don't say the above with any hate or disregard to my home country or anything. I think you could definitely make an area in a Pokemon game based on some areas in the Netherlands. I just don't think it would suffice or be expansive enough to build an entire game around.

What they should do is make a version where you get to explore all of the regions challenging all gyms add a few exploration side quest like mews jungle or helping a professor discover a new prehistoric region while fighting off thugs such as team rocket and team galactic and put some more motions in the battles instead of just saying your team dodge an attack actually show it or when using moves like protect actually show the move being deflected and add a new item like a groveling hook to climb with
I absolutely love the idea of more regions connecting like Kanto and Jhoto. A new region connecting with Sinnoh would be perfect in my eyes plus it would breath new life into Sinnoh because both times going through those games we've been mostly limited with the Pokemon available

The Idea I had was: An alternative timeline Region. Where the "islands" are modified Kanto/Johto ETC Regions. Like a small scale version of those regions, with some different parts added. For example the mount moon is clearly as the OG mount moon but with different looks. You also get alternative timeline Pokemon instead of regional forms. Different stats and types. A usually tanky and bulky Pokemon is now a sweeper and vice versa. Alternative Chars could also be cool. Giovanni is not the leader of Team Rocket in this game, he hes a good guy here. Jesse and James are Gymleaders. Cynthia is a professor. We have a dad not a mom !
Since we already got a tropical island vibe in hoenn i think the island in Scandinavia would be a great region to explore since it's colder and instead of a tropical vibe it's a winter vibe like sinnoh
If gen 10 is greece, then i can see a water-type regi that's all about special attack and a fire-type regi that's all about physical attack.
Greece would be cool, but I do agree about the weather thing. It's the lore I want. Another to consider that I think has been overlooked is African savanna. Combining Greece+Egypt into one region is my top want. #2 want would be Australia.
Regardless, 10th gen is a big number, you know? And if their codename is Gaia, Mother Earth, right, damn it, it seems almost not worth considering anything else - it seems bound to be Japan. It has been a very long time, after all. And we do know Japan loves doing Japan things. I just don't think it's very exciting, at this point. Makes more sense to scratch the Japan itch with kanto/johto stuff and then use something new and unusual for the newest gen of games (I obviously am biased to my own dreams).

Those two regions were not too recent now I want to politely say that incorrect because it’s been over just about. 10 years for sun and moon. And it has been about five years for sword and shield, so yes, I completely understand how you’re looking at it but also it wouldn’t hurt to go back to both regions because they could always find a way to spice it up instead of just having it the same old thing like as a positive thing And since I found your UA-cam channel, I found it very interesting on information I get to hear i’ve even got back to some of your older videos and they are very informative for me to watch because I get to learn new stuff that I never knew about which I think is awesome

No. I loved the Orange Islands in the anime it was such a fresh idea. To base the Big 10 there would be horrible and we kind of deserve better than a Welfare League The Anime made up as fun as it was to watch on TV. I would NOT be opposed to visiting The Orange Isles in a DLC for Gen 10's Greek Region though kind of like how we went to Kitikami in Scarlet and Violet and it being a Side Region taking us closer to Kanto but I don't know why you'd ever want to back there. I am good 😉 with Kanto and am done with that region. I will only revisit Kanto if I watch the Original Pokemon Anime for it was at it's best in the OG series.

Ever since I finished playing Gen 9 my biggest wish for Gen 10 would to be able to go back to every single region in the previous Gens, 1-9. Like going back but with a different story, like maybe you’re a student or researcher studying in the other regions. But if they don’t do that (which I think will probably not happen till the last Pokémon game ever) I would love to see a region based on Africa. Having an open world African region where you ride in a jeep would be so freaking cool

i think scarlet and violet was titan because of titan pokemon, so gaia is a feature in gen 10.

I really miss the concept design of the old legendaries. Ones like Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, or Reshiram and Zekrom, and even Yveltal and Xerneas, some of who were massive and actually impactful, and also looked like creatures that belonged to their types and elements. Zacian and Zamazenta were all right considering we were exploring ancient, medieval-like legends (although the Fairy-type for Zacian was weird). But Koraidon and Miraidon were really disappointing, especially since they're not even proper legendaries, just future cyclizars. Terapagos was a mini save for the game. But I genuinely hope they'll go back to those kinds of mascot legendaries

Ive been waiting for a pokemon game based in greece and i was hoping they made regional forms for machamp conkeldurr etc. I would say types like fighting, psychic and rock would play a huge role in that game.

Now none of this is of course confirmed but if Gen 10 is indeed waves and wind and based on an Archipelago, there's a real possibility that it could be based on Okinawa. Especially if the idea is to revisit a Japanese region. Considering it's both the 30th anniversary of the games and the 20th year since we last had a region based on Japan.
Sounds more and more like it could be Australia. 1. Australia is surrounded by sea. 2. The east and west are somewhat separated. I think once we see some of the new pokemon, it might give more of a clue of the location

Well maybe its called Gaia because they literally put the World as "Region". Starting with Kanto and then expanding the World an Map region by region with DLCs so you have full access to all regions in the end. Then the Phrase "too much water" would also make sence since the world got about 70% water on surface ;) With that kind of Setup Nintendo would just please so many fans out there and also geht them a good base for a MMO transition and stuff also featuring the new Switch 2 with all its improvements. I am just Hoping for that to turn true.

I'd personally love to see the Philippines become a generation. They have a diverse culture and folk-lore and you get the best of both worlds with it having vibes similar to Japan but still in the Mediterranean environment.

I think it will be based on the Netherlands. The Netherlands are heavy on the Water and on the Wind.
I suppose a colder region would be a change of pace after Hawaii and Portugal/Spain. Nordic countries have some bigger cities, but also a lot of "empty" land with no noteworthy architecture, sights or big cities. I suppose that leaves a lot of room to imagine what all there could be. If we ignore the idea of islands, a colder region could be based on Russia or Canada. Not that I think gen 10 would be based on either, but maybe gen 11 if gen 10 is inspired by Greece.

i feel like based on their pattern after leaving japan for regions i feel like it probably won’t be mediterranean just because 9 was literally that. i feel like it’s probably gonna be something like the Galapagos / Americas or in South East asia/ Oceania. I think a region based on something like the Philippines, Indonesia or Papua would be really cool but idk if they’d pick something like Philippines or anything closer bc of history and relations. idk how the countries are now but perhaps theyd stick with something a little further from home

If Gaia realy means going into the directive of defending earth it could also mean going back to alola as we are now being reintroduced to megas and the only main game other then gen 6 which featured megas was gen 7 it could be an inclusion to the mega setting to ad on to this the ultra beasts were present in the alolan games which could be a conection to gaia and defending the earth what also ads on to this would be the archapels or ilands which is also preasent in alola but not only that the ultra spaces are like little islands as well maybe we get new ones ore get to explore more in the ultra spaces or even more eciting playing the main part of the game in them so i think alola could be a realy reasonable game to think of for these games

About the location that gen 10 will be based, i think it'll could be the south-east asia part of asia just because of the tropical and the many island there.
I mean kommo-o (the gen 7 psuedo legendary) kinda looks like the national animal in indonesia or komodo. Maybe tropical-based location would work for gen 10 (or 11) and bring back the old tropical-like mons from older gens

It would be nice to revisit the Japanese archipelago as well as the Hawaiian one, as well as the state of New York, be able to create a region based on what we haven’t visited yet in each of these three regions. I know one of the DLCs for Sword and Shield sort of takes us into the equivalent of Scotland, but what about a whole region on Scotland, as well as Ireland and Wales as well! With Galarian Meowth, it would be nice to even see a region based on the four Scandinavian countries.

I think perhaps either another Japanese region, as you've shown a large portion of unused locations that could be very interesting (perhaps another rural-based region like Kitakami?), or perhaps the one I'd REALLY be hoping for is one based on the Phillipines.
I won't claim to know much about it, but every dip into the culture I've seen has made it more and more interesting, and it would certainly fit the Archepelago vibe. And rather than hot and arid, it's at least hot and humid, with jungles abound. I'd love to see what that's like!

The only way they can pull off Kanto and Johto in a new remake would be using the concept of past or much more in the future. But if it’s the same timeline we re sure that most will skip because I’m not up to face the same storyline. Also a concept of Pangea in the game uniting generations on buying extension packs probably would be cool because using old Pokémon’s sometimes is nice.
This could also possibly be a Philippines based region, holy glaze because im filipino but the country has alot of islands and is an archipelago. This also helps with the note of ‘too much water’ since the PH has 7,100 seperate islands

If Gen 10 is a mix of Gen 1-2-3 maps but remade differently and a good story. I buy day 1.

I really wish they made a game whet you could pick your region and can hop on others after the league if wanted.
I believe they need help with where to go with things and wanna know what people think so they let some things leak just for that. You can change things in the beginning and names and titles are easily changed.
I always thought it would be cool to have a Pokémon region based in Brazil or India. I would like to see the Pokémon version of Rio or the Taj Mahal. Maybe have a Pokémon based on the festival of colors, where their special move involves throwing brightly colored powder at their target; the color depicts the effect it will have. Plus it would fun to hear that Brazilian carnival or Bollywood music playing in a Pokémon game. For China, I think it would be cool if they implement something with kung-fu for the gym leaders. Like each gym leader is a kung-fu master that specializes in a different type of fighting style based on the Pokémon types they use. As a kid, I remember having an idea of a fighting type gym leader being depicted similar to a Shaolin monk.
the chances could be that Heart gold/soul silver gets another remake. after BD/SP remake it would make sense to remake those. and with the theory of kaze(wind) for Ho-Oh and Nami(Wave) for Lugia. + the East and West hint. HG/SS got Johto and Kanto so east and west could be the way to go on this hint but idk.
Germany has also a lot of Islands in the north sea and east sea. about twenty to be exact, which , if they would orientate on the northern parts, maybe put in Netherlands and Denmark too.
A south american or rainforrest area would be great.
One of my favorite parts of gen 3 was was Fortree city, the tree house town.

Could fit with the water comment since we have an absolute fuck ton of lakes, Newfoundland and Labrador exist, and we also have the Borealer Schild which could work with Gaia if it relates more to the idea of overwhelming nature rather than Greece. Starters would be a grass moose, a water orca, and a fire beaver. A girl can dream...
gaia- personification of the word and mother of life, we may get a pokemon game that spans multiple regions or every region.
titan- was scarlet and violet, and there was titan pokemon crucial for story, so gaia could refer to a new pokemon or gimick crucial to the story, such as new legendary pokemon said to be gods.
