Yeah, it’s fun trying different looks. All I was missing was the metal bracelet, but I don’t have that. Enjoy your black WWW. It’s really an amazing watch!
Thanks for another awesome look at the Serica WWW and thanks for the mention of my love for this watch with a rubber strap, and as you demonstrated a real strap monster. I like a nice leather strap also but I always go back to the Uncle Seiko tropical strap. Congrats on having the pair and enjoy. Thanks again, Brian.
I think you deserved a good mention, and thanks for suggesting the rubber strap. It was fun trying on - and even with two different colour rubber straps. Thanks, Brian
I would actually like to hear PAs answer too. He has got a slightly different version than me with sapphire crystal. I think the watch is absolutely outstanding. That laquered dial is amazing. The new version has white numerals, which I don’t like as much as the patina numerals but each to his own. Whichever version you get it is a stunning watch.
Hi Vu Lam. I can see they have just launched it for delivery in August. What at great piece. I like the bezel. That is a quite ingenious system where you can use it both as a diving and a GMT. I haven’t seen this before. Very, very nice. I look forward to seeing this piece IRL. Thanks for the info!
Hi delon. A late reply but nonetheless: I totally agree. I thought I would prefer the white, but after getting the black I was blown away. Now I wear them 70/30 with the black getting the most wrist time.
Hi Gustavo. Thanks, friend. I will actually do another video in August because I got a few more straps, including a metal bracelet. Let’s see when I get the time to post the video. Have a great day!
I’ve been looking at these and wanted to ask If I could get an update on the watches? Are you still wearing and enjoying them as much and how has the screw down crown held up over time? Great video, as is the previous one 🙌
Hello watchisonwrist. No problem with an update. The screw down crown and all is functioning well and it is clear after many months that these are quality watches. Especially the laquered dials and the wide bezel gets me every time I wear them, which is a joy. I tend to wear the black a little bit more than the white, oddly enough. Two watches was perhaps a bit overkill, but that often happens to me when I get excited about something good. Overall, I have only good things to say about these. The design is strong, the size is modest but with a 20 mm lug they wear bigger and the laquered dials are just stunning. How about you? Is it your youtube channel with the name watchisonwrist? Sounds like you should be doing watch reviews!
WristMech hello, haha I actually have another channel and I have done a few videos. The channel is called wristwatchtalk Thank you very much for the update though, I understand the whole buying more than needed in these moments where we really fall in love with a watch. I’ve done it recently myself and have considered selling a piece or two. That’s good to hear though with the Serica, would be my biggest concern that with the screw down crown but they seem very confident in its capabilities. The lacquer dial does look stunning. There are too many watches out there that’s for sure. Takes a special person to just own one watch. The Serica looks like it could be a one watch type of piece though.
Wonderful presentation of the Serica WWW strap options. What are your thoughts on mixing a hand wound watch with a screw-down crown? ps Love the table texture as well!
MrBradly again: Thanks. I have to give the table beeswax every now and then to keep it glowing :-). Hand wound and screw-down is sort of ok with me, no problem. But you probably have the same preference as me: either hand wound + push/pull or, automatic + screw-down.
Hi Clodomiro. The strap is called “Quentin”. It is one of the best looking leather natos I have seen. There is, however, a drawback. It is extremely easy to scratch. I did that and now it is not looking so good. Easy to scratch, but very good looking. Here’s the link www.basandlokes.com/quentin-natural-vintage-leather-nato-watch-strap/
Thanks McCastle. I do this just for fun and because I like watches. But if I can show something of interest to you, then I’m just extra pleased. If you like the black glossy dial, and like glossy dials in general, have a look at my recent video of the Raven Trekker. It has a sun-yellow glossy dial, fit for summer.
Hey, perfect review! Can you please tell me where you got the tan leather strap that is on the white dial watch? That strap looks amazing with the watch!
Hi MI. Hmm, I’m not sure which one you want. But it says in the video: The sand coloured strap is from Colareb and the honey brown strap is from Bas&Loakes. So happy hunting!
Lovely video, really enjoyed all the different strap options as giving serious thought to buying one of these in black! Love the white one too but sadly not made now :( And yes, we are all far too crazy about watches hahaha
Thanks for your comment, James. I am thinking to add more strap choices to my reviews. I find it refreshing to see the watch in different clothes, because it makes a big difference. The white was my favorite too, and the first one I bought. But then when I bought the black, I wear that more often. I think he stopped the white one because the black is more popular in general. Thanks for your comments!
I cant decide between the black dial or a Pioneer or the new Smith's mk 11 homage. If you had to choose between the Serica and Hamilton which would it be? Thoughts on the Bonklip strap?
Hi Doughlas. I totally missed your comment, sorry. Take your time to decide and go with your gut feel. All three watches are great. I think Serica is in a class above, but that is just my call. I was very intrigued by the new Smith's homage. Very, very nice and like it a lot. I think it is 36 mm, and I just value the Serica 37.7 mm much higher. Much more wrist presence due to the size but also the wider lugs. Another thing to consider is the "homage". I don't have a problem with homage in certain situations (have described this in a separate video) but with Serica there is no homage, but a totally in-house design. In any case, you have some weighing and deciding to do :-)
Do you think it is possible to find an aftermarket bracelet with endlinks that will fit this watch? (Though I am looking at the new version of the 4512)
Hi Piotr. Yes, I was also surprised. I saw their new designs, but they are all black. So you can only get the white in the aftermarket. I was contemplating selling the white watch along with a few others because I have bought too many this last year. So you can either buy it from me, or you can search on Chrono24 for it. Happy hunting!
Hi Stuff. I hadn’t noticed. They are all double-digit, so they should be easier to space evenly. But there is indeed something with 22-24, Mr. Laser Eye. I’m not sure I should be thanking you for pointing it out :-) but you are right.
@@WristMech Hey, perfect review! Can you please tell me where you got the tan leather strap that is on the white dial watch? That strap looks amazing with the watch!
Hi Raymond. I haven’t seen it on a 6 inch wrist, but I would dare to say it is perrrfect. The watch looks great on my 7 inch wrist, but the dimensions would suit a 6 inch even better.
Hmm, if a watch fits exactly from edge to edge of wrist you have to be careful. It can often look too large. The 46mm on the Serica is quite restrained, as many watches have 47-50mm, so 46 is already quite smaller. So I thought it would fit. The best way is to try the watch on (which is impossible when you buy it on the internet). In the end I think the watch will suit you fine - albeit pushing it with the lug-to-lug - but it is something to contemplate before buying. The watch, however, is so darn nice that I would take the jump if it were me :-)
It looks great, but their customer service is abysmal... the movement they use in that watch is prone to issues... the power reserve is not good especially considering it is hand wind only. And the screw down crown... seems silly.
I've got the black one and I love it! Thanks for showing me different straps for it.
Yeah, it’s fun trying different looks. All I was missing was the metal bracelet, but I don’t have that. Enjoy your black WWW. It’s really an amazing watch!
The white dial coloreb combo could be my overall favourite - stunning!

I just bought the 4512... waiting for it to arrive. Thanks for this video! It’s very helpful!
Thumbs up, PA. I think you’ll be happy with it!

Bonjour from Paris! Thanks for this beautiful video.
The black one looks amazing!
Bonjour, mon amis! Yes, this is a watch that France can really be proud of. The black one is especially amazing. Thanks for watching
both are so nice! thanks for sharing. I put myself on the waiting list for the next batch of watches
Yeah, I really like them both. The new batch is different from mine - with sapphire and different layouts, so it’s exciting to see.
Just bought their 5303 dive watch. Have high expectations for it.

@@WristMech Precisely the reason I love this watch. The aesthetics was dead on but that was in part due to the dual function of the bezel.
Thanks much for the review. One can sense you love this watch 🙂
Hi Xoan. Thanks. Yes, I do. Have you seen their new diver? Quite interesting.
@@WristMech yes! I like it a lot.
