Thank you for featuring my setup and for the advice! For the mounting I used a combination of elgato multimount pieces and a outdoor company called tackform that makes bar mounts + large form tablet mounts.

Phenomenal video. Honestly went into it thinking "Great another setup video." I was impressed by the innovation shown by both the participants and you Harris. You more than most realize things get stale. I am here for all the innovative, art, irl, just chatting, science and tech, music, etc. streams.

This one was by far the best video you've made. When you left the room, I about fell out of my chair from laughing. I would love for you to judge my stream. However, I know my stream setup isn't the best. Trying to make changes as I can. I believe these videos really going to be a "hit" for you channel! Again, thanks for all that you do!

I have just discovered your YT channel when I decided I wanted to start streaming last week.
I've used your guidance on selecting a camera, lighting, using OBS and making UA-cam content.
I've only been up streaming for 4 days and already have a max of 9 people watching and 13 followers.
I've just downloaded DaVinci for video editing, and I think that'll be my biggest learning curve.
I want to thank you for all the tip and tricks you've taught me so far, and I really hope I can go the full mile!

Awesome Video Harris and Sam because you know gotta credit the editor. In this video you mention to the last set up about courses to invest there money in instead of Key lights which I agree on fully with her setup. However what courses would you recommend? Maybe a video idea there.

Two years later and the critical information your provide here is still relevant. Was having issues with my camera and realized it was the orientation. Move it to a portrait oriented fixed my issues.
You should continue making these vids! More engagement because people want to see if you’ve reviewed their own setup!

I'm not an expert at all but the headroom is the first thing I noticed on the first one... I guess that's because of working on the Worship Production team at my church (so we deal with headroom a lot haha).

That first one...the bottom monitor...that's actually BRILLIANT. It looks like a touchscreen. How many times have we all touched our monitor, desktop or non-touch laptop, out of habit and been like, "aww..."? I know I definitely have! having a monitor like that, low down, within reach would be SUPER handy sometimes. Brilliant!

I don't know if you'll see this, but thank you for all of your tutorial videos. I have a basic setup with a laptop and I am currently working on youtube content and will be streaming on that platform and Facebook as well. Hopefully my stuff will be different and unique to garner some attention.

I look at the organization that some of these art people have and I feel bad. I try to keep my painting area clean but it gets back to its cluttered state within a week or two as I jump between art projects a lot. I should definitely work on that.
You use one vertical 3 monitor stand and one horizontal 3 monitor stand. Combine them together on one base to give you mounts for 3 vertical displays and then the two vesa mounts from the horizontal mount that are sticking out on each side will hold the speakers. He's made some other type of brackets for his switches.
Finally, hammering home the point about the "too much headroom" for streamers. The headroom thing has drove me insane for the longest time and makes some streams unwatchable. If people are worried about how they look when they bring the camera physically down, you can either move the camera closer or use a longer focal length. It'll make your webcam look significantly more appealing.
Also, want better lights? GVM, Dracast, Neewer, Viltrox, all have way cheaper bi-color LED panels that have more output and features than they Elgato lights. The only thing Elgato lights give you that others don't is software/hardware integration with their other products.
Hey, was wondering what the best size/type of monitor to use as a second monitor in portrait mode? Also what do you use for video editing/whats worth the price for that software? (Wasn't sure if this is the right place to ask but it was the first place i thought to go)
