I have a question and help. I would like to use my Logictech G pro gaming headset microphone for my stream. Would this step @2:23 be the same?
1:20 Get an Audient EVO 4. The “loop back” on it is amazing. Check it out.
Amazing guide; very well broken down and easy to follow.
Despite this, I noticed when I stream with this exact setup: my game will randomely throttle down to 120fps despite usually sitting around 200fps. It isn't a steady in game fps though. It will hover between 140 and 180fps and occasionally bottom put at 120 and not dip any lower. Any ideas on why this dual pc setup is affecting my in game performance?
anyone else get about halfway through and was like screw this LOL
Same. It's surprising it's not easier.
Finally a tutorial that I can understand! Thank you, Murray!
Thanks for the help! The most helpful video I’ve found so far on this.
Glad it helped!
I recently bought a QD OLED HDR 175 Hz monitor and I could not use HDR because my gaming PC would not see my new monitor as HDR because I had it merged with the other monitor that is on my streaming PC. The streaming PC runs my capture card, OBS, Wave Link, Stream Deck, Discord, and everything else. I watched your video here and decided to give the audio cable a try from PC to PC and it worked. So far so good. And I am very happy now to be able to use the HDR . Another thumbs up for you. Thank you.
most awesome and detailed video about dual computer stream! thank you
Thanks, I was getting pretty frustrated watching a bunch of different videos that just kind of described how to set this up but didn't show it. And I was definitely getting it wrong so this helped to hold my hand thru the whole process XD I'm gunna have to watch this over a few times to get my audio working properly.
You are very welcome Clark. Happy to help. I have more videos on the channel that might help too so dont forget to check the description :)
Perfection. Thanks!
I appreciate this breakdown as I hate third party softwares and wanted to avoid VM Banana. I prefer actual hardware and been pulling my hair out on how to logistically pull this off, not much on this setup on YT. Thanks again!
Happy to help man!
This is how I kinda imagined to set this up. Seems like there are a bunch of different ways to do it though. New capture card arrives tomorrow. Wish me luck that I can get this all to work.
THANK YOU SO MUCH BRO
Very helpful video! Question though, what if you have a pcie stream card that has the hdmi ports but not a headphone jack? How would we need to go about setting things up the same way in that scenario?
Flawless execution my guy! … seriously, I’ve been biting at this for 3 days and spent 2hrs on the phone with Elgato and them wanting my to spend $200 more on products so they could help me more with dual setup. You made my evening, bless you my man I wish the best your way. Lastly, is there a physical board controller you recommend I can use for this????
Ok, Have been saving for 3 years....
I can afford case, splendid start
Hey, there. In the video you only show how to connect to the capture card through a microphone. I have a microphone that doesn't have a headphone jack, only a USB output. My headphone connects directly to my gaming pc. How would I be able to work around this? Or would it be better for me to try and get a microphone that has a headphone jack? Sorry if this comment is confusing 😅
Thanks maan
do you plug your behringer usb to your streaming pc or gaming pc?
I assume if we’re using an internal capture we plug the audio cable into motherboard since there is no audio jack
thank you much appreciated
I would love to do this. I have a hard core gaming laptop. I have a decent laptop as well and would love to do this. Hope this works.
Thank you very much for your video.
I am a Mac/Win user. I am tired of switching one monitor between them. I am thinking of buying one of these cards to screen my PC in a window on mac (or make it full-screen on a desktop on mac, so I can just swap between mac and windows). I will literally put the Windows into a window. That's how it should be since of beginning... Hehehe
Do you think I can run it smoothly, or it's not a good idea?
Thank u
Can you do a video on switching from console set up to using Astro Headset with mix amp on a gaming and streaming pc set up?
I have quite a few similar videos lined up. 👍
Hey, I have 2 monitors attached to my gaming pc, how to send the output of only 1 monitor through the capture card to the streaming pc?
How do I send a USB microphone through to the capture card if I do not have an audio interface? How will the stream PC see my microphone?
Compelling editing style!
Thank you 😊
instead of the splitter, you can just send all the audio through the hdmi you have plugged into the capture card... and to get your mic audio just select the connection as a listening device.. probably listed as (usb interface/integrated usb) the issue im looking to solve is how to have my music on a separate channel for vods, using a stream pc, and also be able to hear it. Without spending $500....
Hey Murray! Thank you for the breakdown, it’s helped tremendously! However I’m having one issue, I tried the splitter option for my audio and I can’t get my audio from discord onto my stream PC. Is there anything you recommend I try to trouble shoot? Thanks again!
Your discord should be boing to your splitter. Did you change your output in Discord? If I miss your reply, I apologize. If you need further help, feel free to jump into the discord channel
But most headsets and mics have a usb not audio jack, what do you do then?do you still need the splitter?
How could I hear my obs alerts from my streaming pc? Do you have a video that helps with that?
Liked subbed and notifications on, this guy should do house calls 🤣 awsome video man 😎😎
Thanks dude!
I'm trying to stream using 2 laptops, both have a headphone port but no audio input.. what can I do as I've set it up in the past using audio interface but when the audio is redirected from capture card hd60s+ it ends up in mono left and right in my headphones??
How to setup a Dual PC stream on an iMac27 2019 as my streaming PC?
Dual PC streaming are definitely such a hassle. I'm currently using two mics because I don't have a mixer so I have one USB for my streaming and one USB for my gaming so this tutorial should fix this for me. Using the cables you used for line in and such.
It’s definitely a solution but there are many ways to do it and I’m trying to make those videos to give people options 😁
@@MurrayFrost I just saw your Rode MiNi USB video and then this so I just bought all the equipment on Amazon. The splitter, the 2 double male cable. For my specific case that's the cheapest and yet the simplest way to keep the mic on my main PC and not have to turn on my streaming PC when not streaming but still use my microphone or the need for 2 microphones. The rode so far seems as a MUST if the person doesn't have a audio interface
@@MurrayFrost Quick question: for this dual streaming setup. Are you changing any settings in the rode free software that you mentioned in one of your other videos?
I'm not really changing any of the software on your gaming pc. The software will give you all the control you need.
@@MurrayFrost gotcha. I have one question but hopefully I can figure it out once it's all installed and I'm actually messing with it. Thanks for the video!
I have problem that I don't have splitter, and want to grab audio from gaming PC with HDMI, but obs does not see sound line thruu HDMI. On gaming PC I have external sound card soundblaster g5, but something is not right
Hey. Would you maybe know why on my laptop it finds the capture card but says no signal and to put the usb in a 3.0 port even though its connected in a 3.0 port? The wires work fine if i connect the PS4 to the laptop but not when i try connecting the PC to the laptop. (i have the software also downloaded on my PC)
Yay...Nice content ❤✌
this ismt really related but i have recently bought a usb mic so i unplugged the elgato chatlink pro i was using and now the capture card is not being picked up by obs but it is picking up video and no audio on the elgato capture software
Is it a way to exited out of obs and still have full screen projector on all the time
I have my mic coming through but my audio from my gaming pc only comes through when I switch it to the hd60s as the audio source and then I can’t hear through my focusrite
ok so i got two issues. I got the video on my streaming pc and i got the microphone working from my gaming pc to obs on my streaming pc. However my game audio, which i can hear through my headset from my gaming pc) is not playing on my streaming pc side. Also because i used video capture to show the gaming pc screen, I cannot use video capture for my webcam. if I change the source on one it then changes the source on the other. This has been bugging me for the last three days and I cannot sem to find a fix. Could use some help. thanks
What about if I have a USB Wireless Headset? does it have to be a wire one?
so i have a hyper x quad cast for my mic, is there a way i can make that go to the streaming pc cuss its connedcted via usb
Do you have a video about setting up an NZXT capture card for dual pc?
i just got it and it gives me nightmares. i tried all the things on youtube, i have so much lag on the secondary pc when i start to play a game. and btw if you have usb headphones you cant transfer the audio on streaming pc.
What’s with the loud buzzing when I connect the 3rd aux to capture card @ step 4:12 ish? A shitty 6 way splitter??? Bad aux and was new I found out .. thanks
Does anyone know how I can transmit the sound from my gaming PC to the streaming one? I have a gaming PC that is a desktop and the streaming one is a laptop. I bought 3.5mm Audio Cable x 2, Ground Loop Isolators x 2 and 5 way splitter for headphone. I have no idea how to connect them because I only have a jack port on my laptop. Can someone help me?
Hello! I've been watching your videos, and it's been helping a lot; I had a question about wireless headphones. Would I have to use the splitter? For example, I have the SteelSeries wireless pro, and it comes with a Lil box for the connection. Would I have to use the line in/ line out behind the Lil box into the splitter?
You would connect the headphone to the splitter. Not the splitter to the headphone box.
In this situation, its the best to use virtual mixer Voicemeeter banana
my streaming PC does not have a mic in, only c port and headset out. I have a new Laptop i was going to use, and it seems many do not have a mic plug in, they feel you will use USB mics
Ive spent he last few hours doing this video and everything works as far as video capture device hearing my gaming pc audio. The mic aux cable from Gaming pc to streaming pc no matter how I set the output/input on obs or default windows, is not picking up the MIC. My mic an XLR plugged into a scarlet just like this video. Can anyone please helppp
hello, I want to ask, I'm using dual screen setup from my laptop so my hdmi port is already in use for my second monitor. As I'm A trader not a gamer, I need two screens. Now how can I stream that via second pc. because what I'm planning to do is that me and a fellow colleague will trade on different setups but we want stream in a single stream with multiple cameras, now for that I know we are going to need a video switcher, and for audio too we have counted in the voice mixer. Our only problem is that as I have only hdmi output, will I be able extend my laptop screen to my monitor as I already do it, with the way you told in 'How to use only one output on your graphics card' part or will it only work as duplicate or a second screen.
pls help.
I wish you can do an explanation setup for:
Elgato 4k60Pro
Gaming PC (gaming at 1440p @165hz )
Streaming PC (for streaming at 1080p @60hz)
I am finding so many instructions, videos, but not one is helping: I would like to continue to play at 1440p at 165hz... while the capture card can stream at 1080p@60hz...
So far I was able to get setup on streaming PC, and get it to capture 1080p60 but then my gaming computer is capped at either 120hz at 1440p or it throws me down to 1080p @144hz gameplay...
So frustrating...
I wonder if all of these works on Mac as the streamer computer. Since I have a mac mini and a gaming pc. I got XLR mic all I would need is el gato capture card but I'm not sure if it would work fine with the Mac
Mac can work. It will be a little to set up but it’s doable
Murray can u please help me. I have a astro A40 headset that I have plugged up to the mixamp pro it came with. I'm struggling to get my voice to play back through my streaming pc. Even tho everything else from my gaming pc can be heard on my stream

Hi, I have dual pc game streaming with triple monitors. How can I make my left monitor to show obs stream preview and my right monitor to see facebook's or youtube live comment? Thank you for your video.

@@MurrayFrost Happy Holidays my friend!
Both my mic and headset is USB. So how do I use a splitter? Lol head is hurting.
Same here, I’m just assuming you can use a usb splitter but don’t quote me on it

Happy it worked man!
My audio source wasnt created when i projected the screen idk what to do 8:40
Don't know why, but this setup does not work on hd60x, bo audio source, game escape to ElGato but obs does no te game, for now only duplicate screen
What if you use a wireless headset? How do you send the audio to the streaming PC?
Isn’t the obs projection only 30 fps? I’ve noticed a pretty big difference in the smoothness of clips that I record with my second pc using this and clips I use shadowplay to record on the gaming pc. Is there a way to get obs project in 60 fps or maybe some other program that can do this?
Yeah. Make sure your obs on your gaming pc is setup in 60fps
Well I did everything and cound not get the audio to my streaming PC.
For some reason I can't find my audio cable when i look into into the properties to connect my mic from gaming pc to stream pc. Any advise Murray?
Also is there a way to add noise suppression to the mic with this method?
If you have followed exact directions step by step then you should be able to add filters to your mic in obs on your stream pc.
Hi Murray, im using 2 pc streaming now, everything good but just only one problem with noise cancelling, and please how to set up noise cancelling for 2 pc stream ? i try to use RTX Noise Cancelling but not work
I have a video that I am recording this week on how to do that with your mic. Coming soon
Hey Murray! When Projecting my screen to the capture card, there seems to be quite a bad delay from what I am doing on my main screen to what the streaming pc OBS captures. Any ideas why this could be ?
Make sure its a usb 3.0 port. Try other 3.0 ports as well.

Hi i don’t know if you’ll respond or not but I’m having and issue where once I get everything setup, the preview in OBS is really choppy and laggy. I’ve turned settings downs in the elgato software and OBS but nothing seems to help and my streaming PC meets all the requirements for the elgato so I’m not sure what to do.
On your streaming pc, make sure to run OBS as administrator. that will help. If not, jump into the discord server and me and my support team can help
What would I need to buy or get how setup to get my ASTRO a50s to work with my duel pc stream setup
The best and most ideal setup would be a GoXLR mini. Best value for the product and is a beast in routing your audio correctly with minimal setup and no problems to deal with later. One of the best investments you could ever make for any stream whether it’s a single pc or dual pc stream. amzn.to/3FcZ7NC
@@MurrayFrost I went with the goXLR and it's been 2 weeks for trial and error but I got EVERYTHING working as Intended. Thanks for making these vids
Having trouble with fullscreen projection. When on my gaming PC I have 2 different display screen's. 1 is my main monitor and 2 is my elgato. But when I go to select Fullscreen projection I only see the option for monitor 1.
Same issue any fix?
Hey! So I cannot figure out why but when I do the projector preview onto my other monitor, its not smooth. Its not super laggy, but it seems like its constantly having micro stutters.
Ok so then in your obs on the gaming pc do game capture instead of display capture
@@MurrayFrost it's on a game capture, tried display capture but still had the issue
The audio part ate me alive. I have a audio interface but my head phones has its own DAC im so confused
Ground Loop Noise Isolator - Do I need one at the capture card AND at the stream PC?
It does help. Definitely for the stream pc but they are not mandatory unless you get that hum hot hiss. Try without them and if you have the hum and hiss then you know you need it.
For some reason my streaming pc isnt picking up the microphone on my gaming pc.
Bro I just ordered my second PC so the steam can look good and my game can stop having fps drops and I just noticed how much more money im going to have to send to make this work good😬
Yup. The drawback of a dual pc setup but this video is my refined guide on how to do it as cheap as possible so hope it helps
I have the avermedia live gamer mini but it doesn’t have a 3.5 jack. What do I do?
Yeah, without a sound board like a go xlr or rode caster pro or another sound board, a capture card with an audio jack is needed (With this kind of setup). Elgato is top of the line and have good options:

I'm slow but I have a question. I have 3 DP Ports and 1 Hdmi port on my 3090 founders edition. I use an oled 48in. C1 as a monitor and that uses a HDMI port. Is it possible to work around that or must I use the HDMI out and cap the Oled(120hz)? Thank you for the video regardless.
So the capture card needs to be plugged into the gpu. You could connect your monitor to the display port

Hey, I’m using an elgato 4k60pro and my hdmi cord goes from my gaming pc, to my streaming pc where the capture card is, then out to my gaming monitor. The problem is, my streaming pc is connected from graphics card hdmi to the streaming monitor. The streaming monitor looks so much better than the gaming monitor for some reason. Both monitors are 1080p but when I check the resolution only the streaming monitor is at 1080p and the gaming monitor is at 4K. Do I need a 4K monitor? Or do I need to get better hdmi cables? Please help!
Are you duplicating your gaming monitor to the HDMI that goes to the capture card in the stream pc? or are you using obs to extend the display to the capture card?
@@MurrayFrost I’m using obs to display what’s happening on the gaming pc. I then have an HDMI cord coming from the streaming pc graphics card to the streaming monitor.
Can I use a go xlr mini instead of the audio interface?
Yes, that would make the whole audio setup much easier. This audio setup is just for those who don’t have a GoXLR of any kind

Is there a minimum system requirement for the streaming pc? (my gaming pc has 3060)
A 3060 will be more than enough
@@MurrayFrost dual pc. 1 is gamin with 3060. one is streaming. not sure system requirements for streaming. thinking 1050 with a i3 10th gen
also 4k pro mk2 capture card
So should I even try the dual pc set up, or would it be better to just do it all from one pc for me? Here’s the details-
I currently have a pc with an R5 2600, gtx 1070, 24gb ram, lots of storage. That said, I am buying an rtx 3060 ti in ab a month, which is when i’d wait to start streaming. I know the R5 2600 is a bottle neck, and i’d eventually, with another month or so, upgrade the cpu, maybe a r5 5600? Would 6c/12t cpu be enough, or do i need to opt for an 8c/12t one? Also, i was planning on literally just using the old cpu and gpu to build a second pc, and let my girlfriend use that to game with me, and then if needed, use it as a second pc for streaming. BUUUUUUT if I don’t need a second pc to stream, then I would just let her have it as a whole, and be done with that.
So I guess my question is, would a pc running an r5 2600 (eventually to be updated) and an rtx 3060 ti, be stream ready? Any concerns or issues I might need to know??
If you get the 3060Ti then it should be ok. for a sigle pc stream
@@MurrayFrost Awesome, thnx! Btw, do you think the r5 2600 is a bottleneck for the gtx 1070? Just asking cuz my 1070 doesn’t seem to be on par with a lot of vids i’ve seen of it.
