I created a modern battleship in this game... With like, 700 anti-air missiles and 500 anti-naval missile.
Magazine holds 3 years GDP worth of armament. 😂
That’s basically just the Navy’s modern Battleship concept. Loads of missiles.
Quite a while ago I also made a modern battleship. 20" main guns, 5" (modern, unlike the WW2 vintage main guns) secondaries, loads of VLS stacks on the sides of the ship and LOTS of CIWS. The way I determined the amount of CIWS required was whether or not it could hold up against 5 ships launching missiles. So if you see someone pissed off at the dock workers for 'only' loading 7 digits worth of CIWS ammo, it's because it takes 11 digits. I should probably get back into NavalArt...

Wasn't there a concept of an "Arsenal Ship" with hundreds of vls tubes planned in early 2000s? That would be cool.
id love a sort of "campaign" where you take a small blank hull and add just a few simple weapons. The ship then fights increasingly bigger stuff from the workshop as you upgrade it after the fights.

Something I find very fun is taking a "Hull" (there are empty hulls on the workshop) and making a BB with 20-30 CIWIS and VLS

I would love a modern Montana battleship design 4 16" turrets is the must have. Preferably all secondary guns staying or replaced with its modern automatic equivalent. AA's replaced with C ram cwiz, vertical launch tubes and a helicopter landing area preferably with hanger. Even if the simulator cant use that function. The rest is up to you to answer the question what would it take to sink a modern Montana battleship design 🤔

I'd love to see the proposed US Arsenal ship in this game. Missile spam would take on a whole new dimension with that ship.. How many missiles? YES.

This reminds me of a game i was playing on tablet many years ago...warcraft?! no...something with craft ship craft? warshipcraft?...something like this, and it was in fact discontinued once from apple store and appeared a few years later with another name by a different publisher, and you made ships from various cubes and 3d geometric universal shapes
Most importantly you could build some crazy "ships" because of some glitches with the human overboard rescue floating "donut" piece thingy, multihull arangements that were physically impossible otherwise, and crazy speed because of some inverted components.
I did the same idea with a version of the Missouri when I first loaded up the game
You should do Stormworks and From the Depths, I recommend them because they are roughly similar to Naval Art.

As someone who's played it for a long time. It's hard to defend against YJ-18 since they move at almost Mach 3, against one is alright, but multiple is a problem since you can't intercept fast enough and CIWS has a hard time tracking it. Other SSM you can defend against (Including Bazalt and Moskit) since the missiles have higher hit Prob.
Anyways I like to see you build your arsenal-style ship complete with CIWS and Aegis radar since they're a necessity.

wasnt the flight deck on alot of the ships slightly skeewered like that to help prevent water from standing on it? a helo could handle a slight skewed deck fine but just a bit of water would be deadly.
How about you modified the yamato, by removing the gun and replace it with anti ship missile, and for the AA you replace it with a lot of anti air missile. That would be amazing, it also will become a some type of boss that need to be defeated.
I would like to see you create your own Ship, it doesn't have to be super detailed and shiz. But it would be nice to see what you can come up with.

Naval Arts just makes me want sea power more, true fleet vs fleet gameplay with campign mode, intercept missile, aircraft carrier. I even made an Aegis mod for Starsector to get similar experience while waiting for the release.

How are you setting the AI for control of the main guns? I've been playing for a bit and can't seem to get it to work. Also the CIWS in NavalArt are a little broken since they have unlimited ammo and don't need to reload. On an actual RD-D2 you have to have a shipmate run out there and manually reload it any time it expends its initial load out which can take quite a while. Love the videos as always!

Make an type 055 and do a battle with arleigh burke

The Arliegh burke class has 96 VLS cells.
Now you can carry 96 SM2,3,6 whatever those missiles.
But with the ESSM being quad packed. You have 96 VLS cells and each cell carrying 4 of these ESSMs. You do the maths.
(I don't work in the US navy so if anything is incorrect Ill just take your word for it)

You're using an older version of the Tico, please get rid of the arm-launchers and use the 122 VLS cells a modern Tico has. Also, those ugly Russian ASM launchers on the Tico is a naval war crime, please remove. A mixture of different missiles would be best. In theory, LRASM will be more capable than Tomahawk depending on the targetted ship (US radar can detect US stealth missiles, but in theory, most RU and CH ships shouldn't be able to get a high probability of kill on LRASM), and the Harpoon would be worse than both the Tomahawk and LRASM in all scenarios.
The SM-6 is the highest quality/most expensive SAM with tremendous range and in the real world at least, can also be used against ships. The "standard" US SAM is the SM-2, with the best mix of capability, range, production, and price, with the SM-6 used for more advanced aerial threats, and the ESSM/Rolling-air-frame missiles used for threats making it past SM-2/SM-6 initial engagement ranges.
Anyway, I'd love to see a US vs. RU or CH battle, with 5 ships on each side. Guided missile cruisers and destroyers. Thanks.
