The only problem I have with it is the price, and I think this is what it's gonna come down to for most people. Comparing prices in my country (Austria) real quick: The RS 457 is 7990€. The Z500 is 6399€, the Ninja 500 is 7099€. So it's either 1600 or 900 bucks more than Kawasaki's offerings, depending on whether you want naked bike or sportbike style. That said, the SV650 is only 7490€ and this is where I think the choice gets tough, because the SV650 is really in a higher class of performance, but it's also an old bike that's been around for over 20 years. So I guess you can have the highest-end A2 level beginner bike, or the bike that served as many people's entry point for a proper big bike.

6 second 0-60 means it's slower than almost any car on the road. Even an F250 diesel is that fast. Which makes it the perfect beginner bike for me.
Seems like this has to do with the mid range drop that US has because of the regulations. In India, this has V-box (GPS) tested 0-60 of 4.99 seconds.
Which to me, as an European, sounds nuts. 6 seconds is sports car territory here.
@@rienkhoek4169 Yes, 6 seconds is fast (for a car) whatever other people might say or even think. But it's not about a specssheet, it's about the feeling the bike (or car) gives you driving it.
He didn't turn off traction control
@@aniruddhavispute no it's because he didn't turn off traction control while launching
Would you recommend this for someone who wants a bike to have fun with but doesn't care to have massive power? I used to have a 2016 CBR 300r years ago and miss having a bike every now and then, sold it because I wasn't using it and needed money at the time. Been waiting for us creators to get their hands on these because I wanted to see the impressions.
Gotta put on an exhaust! We wanna hear that 270° crank growl!
i was waiting for this video ngl
It’s actually not four-fifty-seven. Italians call it quatro-cinco-sette which translates to four-five-seven. Four fifty seven would be quatrocento-cincanta-sette or quatro-cincanta-sette
In India, it costs just over $5,500 on road.
I could see this being the go to bike for people looking to downsize
Put an exhaust on it! XD
I was looking for a 400 to use as a track bike and test drove an RC 390. Honestly it felt like a moped in comparison to my RS 660.
8200$ OTD for a 6800$ bike is good, I think. Definitely more than I was willing to pay as a beginner, but its cool your dealership didnt charge you out the ass for it compared to some of these other rates. Seem too many Ninja 400s/500s going for 8k+ when it costs 1200$ less than the 457
Interesting. Zach from Revzilla said almost nothing about the twin spar frame. He also said he likes the Ninja 500 SE better🤔 But i would take this any day of the week!
Love my RS457
It's $8k CAD in Canada. Sounds like it's WAY more expensive in the US, given exchange rates.
How about a comparison with the Duke 390? Both Indian made by European companies.
Single cylinder vs dual cylinder. Comparing it with Ninja 300 would make more sense.
The tyres on those are local indian brand. I just installed them on my RC390 and they feel better than metzellers ngl. (M5)
Love from India Yammie😭
A kick in the 5-6ks, maybe Im finally able to swap my vmax!
Aprilia has GPR150 and 250 in Asian markets. I have had both:) The 150 is all Italian. the 250 uses a Chinese engine, which is not as nice
Cool bike I love the way it sounds but I am gonna play with with the Ninja 500 SE and just put a better exhaust and everything over time.
My man Yam's about to double the RS457 sales in India all by himself.
P.S. Getting this next month
I parked my motorcycle next to an aprilia 660 today and i was just standing and looking at it for 10 minutes straight, its beautiful. But the foot pegs are too high for my poor knees.
World wide giveaways...especially to Ooty in india...to a particular dude known as nazzal...even a r3 would do it
Man , A "beginner " in the US is 'the' sport bike to get in India.
oh almost got me with the giveaway bike 😭 it’s actually a lottery bike 😂 all jokes aside good vid, beautiful bike
I’ve heard him say “just like the 660” like a 100 times.
Sounds really good. Tight bike.
