I do amateur theater and one year I was playing a wife who couldn't cope with her husband not getting rid of the dead body in their bedroom for the last 15 years (a bit hypocritical because she did nothing either). For a character exercise we had to bring a song that explained our characters. I made the whole cast and director listen to Breakpoint for its lyrics. People stared at me and didn't get it. It was so disappointing because it fit so well.
Marty you are my favorite lead guitarist in the world. You play your own lead sound with heart and soul which lack in many lead players.Your chemistry with dave mustine ,nick menza and david ellifson was the best ,THE CLASSIC MEGADETH LINEUP, and those were my favorite megadeth albums.I as many megadeth fans wish to see this classic line up again ,unfortunately nick is no more now,let me say MARTY AND NICK are rocking hardcore beasts in lead guitar and drums, which contributed best classics thrash albums like Rest in peace and Countdown to extinction.KEEP ROCKING MARTY.....RIP NICK MENZA \m/
Angry Again was the first Megadeth song I heard on the radio, and it was the first of theirs that I got into. When I finally had album buying money in the summer of 98, I originally thought that track as on Cryptic Writings, because I didn't know their music yet. But sufficed to say, Hidden Treasures was the first Megadeth album I owned.
yep, I never listened to those songs and I had that CD in my truck cd player for like a month straight. I would listen to Angry Again, 99 Ways to Die, Go To Hell, then I would end it with Diadems, and then listen to Diadems again one or two more times. I freaking love that song.
I love the psychedelic vibe and played it on repeat for some time when I first heard it. Still not a fan of the ending, though. Musically it's a little sloppy.
I agree with the top comment. Mustaine has made so much incredible music, he, I hope has stopped complaining about getting kicked out of Metallica. And Go to Hell is one of my favorite Megadeth songs. The video is classic!
All the Megadeths songs on Hidden Treasures are excellent songs that deserve to be on a record! Would be interesting to hear the original version of Problems with Chuck and Jeff.
As a young Megadeth fan being only 18 and only listening since I was 12, I always assumed angry again was a big hit song, never realized I had such a story behind it
Metallica was just better than Megadeth until 1986, that is, until the album period "M.O.P". After that, "Megadeth" destroyed "Metallica". Because, the same time, the album "AJFA by Metallica" was not musically better than the album "SFSGSW by Megadeth".

Having Portnoy in 95 after Awake released doing this is incredible. Unless you where alive and into music enough to even know who the hell Dreamtheater was back then you can't fully appreciate how awesome this actually was. It wasn't until the Metropolis 2 album circa 2000 DT started getting to the level of mainstream fame you would expect for the drummer of the band to be hosting a mtv segment like this. It's a shame 99 Ways To Die isn't more appreciated. I think it's one of the best songs from the band.
