No need for that "finding", Michael. Cdl. Daneel's "preferences" and heretical views were known by pretty much every Catholic who actually went to Mass regularly, and halfway kept up with the news. Even I, a new Catholic nearly 30 years ago, knew. Most worldly/secular people also knew. He NEVER tried to pretend he was a Faithful Catholic, but constantly brought scandal to pretty much the whole world, Catholic or otherwise. Where were you??

Boys will be the future priests, but girls can still help the Church in many other ways. The truth is that women are not only the majority of Mass attendees, but they are also the ones who volunteer at Church more often. You cannot deny women when they are the most giving and helping. Women may not be Priests, but they love God and want to serve his Church also.

Look to New Orleans. We have a Catholic Church on every corner. Catholic Grammar School is very affordable as is Catholic High School. I as many of my friends went all of our life in the Catholic School System and we are still devout all through of the horrors. We are not leaving our church of Jesus Christ.

@user-cs4to7qm3k I attended a Catholic school, and at that time, all of the teachers were nuns. Even the principal was a nun. All of the kids loved and respected them. Schools were much different then.
There are few vocations to women’s orders. Many of them are defunct, others have disappeared from the apostolate because they are aged and infirm. The church in the West has a fraction of the number of nuns it had at the time of Vatican 2, and many orders have shut down. There is a bureau in the Vatican shutting down non-viable orders and selling their property.

I am female and have been a lector for over 30 years and have had no inclination to become a priest. I am very humbled to be in this position. I pray every time I approach the alter that Jesus will give me the grace to read in a manner that the congregation will hear His words as He wishes for us to hear. Female alter servers gives girls a seed from which can grow to direct them into religious life. Sadly, the Church has ignored to support the female religious vocations in their religious communities. Male alter boys definitely needs to be propagated. Both sexes of youth are not being catechized properly. The simple truth of why the priest needs to be a male needs to be taught to youngsters early and often. The loss of nuns as catechists is an enormous loss to us all.

I will say there is something uncomfortable to young males about having to listen to females at Mass. We already have Mums.
Maybe needs to be consecrated or associated with Lay orders like Lay Franciscans. I'm uncomfortable with ordinary laity doing readings at all. Doesn't feel respectful.
Women should not and cannot be priests, that have already been established - but it is the women (nuns) who make the Eucharist hosts; they are the first ones who hold the body of Christ before being consecrated by priests. I think they can also distribute the hosts to the congregation assisting the presiding priest at holy mass during communion.
It’s a denial of sacramental theology to ordain women. Christ weds his bride, the Church. The priest as “another Christ” or “in persona Christi” must be male. As women have been ordained in Protestants denominations they have disappeared.

EWTN was covering Good Friday service live from the Vatican and I began to watch it and almost immediately the camera panned the cardinals and there was Fernandez. I could not watch. My Good Friday was fruitful in that I attended my local church service. The part where we kneeled and prayed for the Pope was difficult for me but I know my Lord wants me to pray for all and their conversion.

I've been a life-long Catholic, baptised Catholic. I love my beloved church, but the protection the church has been given to the pedophilia and sexual abuse has just soured me on the church. In the early days of Charismatic Renewal, it was said and accepted that the spiritual reality is : when girls/women move in, boys/men move out of any ministry. It is spiritually crucial that girls/women are not allowed to be involved in any altar ministries or the men will eventually vanish from the scene. The male/female roles must be kept separate.

Re Rupnik art. The church was quick enough to remove the music of David Hass due to his various sexual abuses throughout the years. They did that in support of the victims in that instance! Let them do it in this instance.
As a mother of a girl altar server when it first was offered, my daughter volunteered to serve. Girls in nature at that age are pushy while boys are shyer. The girls took over and the boys slowly disappeared.
Back in the 90s our daughter became an altar server. We should never have allowed it.

Women have their role in the Church, look to Our Blessed Mother, ask her what is your role as a woman. Regardless of how the missals are written these days NO Catholic should say “crucify him” during any litergy. We should go back to the pre-1955 litergy and continue with what Catholics used to do pre Vat II.
We aren’t reenacting the crucifixion, we are recalling it and should never drag ourselves down to cheer Our Lord’s death. We are a privileged people to be Catholic and, while saddened and sorrowful for our part in Christ’s suffering, we weren’t part of the crowd yelling to kill Jesus.
Many Jews who followed Jesus didn’t yell along with that crowd and were there to sorrow over how the people falsely accused Jesus.
No in can force you as a Catholic to say “crucify him” and I won’t do it.

ALSO THEY , BORH SEX SERVERS WERE SO POORLY TAUGHT...NO RESPECT IN YOUR ACTIONS WHILE UP THERE ON THE ALTAR THAT I WENT TO THE DOOR WHERE PRIEST & DEACON WERE & ASKED who was in charge of them! I think it must be that he absolved a person with whom he had committed an act against chastity. This is prohibited in canon law.

I just finished a book/ study The Forgotten Desert Mothers by Sr. Laura Swan. Yes there were many Deaconesses in the early Church who positively influenced the Early Chirch Fathers. Many were wealthy and helped to support the building of Churches 31:26 , took care of the poor and informed and served as spiritual directors . They assisted in helping women during Baptism . They never preached at Mass nor attempted to function as priest during the Mass. These holy women were contemplatives and taught others, men and women, this spirituality. These women founded monasteries and disguised themselves as men to enter male monasteries when there was no Monastery for females. These women were self sufficient and independent. Our Blessed Mother influenced the Apostles without the want or need to act as “ priest”. Women’s role is as important to the Church but different than that of a man.
Why is it ok to veer away from anything in the New Testament of the Holy Bible?
Christianity should never be a buffet that we pick and choose from.

Regarding questions of morality, sexual perversion, modesty and anything else, Our Lord, Jesus Christ and His Apostles have made it clear how we should live.
For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints, - 1 Corinthians 14:33
