When Jesus was being tried in the Pharisee court by Pilate, it was early in the morning and most of Jesus' followers weren't there. The court was stacked by the Pharisee's so none of the other Jewish people were there to stand up for Jesus. Pray that we are awake and that we have the courage to stand up for Jesus and His Church when the time comes. Pray to be a remnant. I fear we're going to feel very much like Peter did, surrounded by people we know who are suddenly accusing us as the causers of evil with no one to stand up for us, and we'll be frightened for our families and tempted to join the crowd. The scariest thing I can think of is denying Christ to protect our family's from the crowd...we need to pray for the courage and fortitude to remain in Christ.

@@gotogd1233 I was referring to how the specific group of people at the early morning trial were summoned by that particular group of Pharisees who wanted to have Rome crucify Jesus. Maybe I could've worded it better, I didn't mean to say ALL Pharissee's, just the one's who orchestrated the arrest and trial. And I thought I made the point clear that the good Jewish people weren't present becuase of the way the trial was orchestrated.

Moreover, the people in Palestine right now are not Palestinian. They are Iraqi, Yemeni, Syrian, Egyptian, etc who have fled there in the past 50 yrs- till current. Moslems flee there from all over to take advantage of gaining Palestinian Refugee status. Meaning they get paid nearly $300 per month Plus Social Services- not just 1 person in a family but EVERY person in the family gets paid and recieves assistance despite whether or not they need it.
MOREOVER, Palestinian Refugee status is like No Other 'Refugee status' because Palestinian Refugee is NeverEnding Refugee Status. It carries down to your descendants- your children receive it - your grandchildren - n so on. EVEN 'palestinian refugees' who have fled Palestine and moved to other nations such as right here in America are still declared as being 'Refugees' despite their US citizenship. And so do their kids who were not even born in Palestine! This is part of God's plan for history. By all means, pray for them, even for individual conversions. Our Lord will answer our prayers at His discretion.

As Catholics we too hold a similar mindset as this Jewish speaker. Just as they believe the worst thing a Jew could do is to leave Judeaism to become a Christian.

God gave us free will. Man desires to deny that free will.
True , however, our free will is to choose the Truth we do not have freedom to be in error although we can choose to be. This choice to reject the truth in favor of a lie is contrary to the nature of our soul which is Rational and is a grave sin unless the choice is made in ignorance in which case the object of the choice remains sinful but the moral culpability of the person may be mitigated or eliminated.

I didn't really express my free will statement very well. I was referring (in my mind anyway), that people of other faiths than our own have free will but often want to exercise their free will against others by trying to deny people of other faiths free will, either by the threat of death or by poverty.

There is only one True Religion and we are obliged to be joined to it if we hope to be saved. We may abuse our free will and choose any of the hundreds of false religions but we have no right to do so and if we choose to do so outside of invincible ignorance we have no reason to expect anything else than damnation which is what is chosen when we reject Truth. One cannot force anyone to choose Truth and forced conversions are not valid as they are not actively willed by the person at best it's mixed voluntary. So while I agree we cannot force conversion or do so by threat of death (which is demonic) it must be said unequivocally there is no freedom to choose error and or evil that is merely license. 🙏➕

Are you aware of the persecution of Christians globally? In particular in Israel, and Islamic nations? In Israel, there are religious figures that bash, kick, and spit on Christians. It's not as peaceful towards Christians as it's marketed to be. We know how Christians are treated in Islamic nations. Worst though is how the world remains silent at the ongoing brutality and murders of Nigerian Christians. It's constant, and the media remains silent. I used to treat an autistic 7 year old who was Lubovitch. I really didn't know much about it except it was obviously an ultra orthodox sect. The Noahide laws were a precursor for the 10 Commandments by jewish tradition. Handed to Noah and his descendents from God, all men are traditionally beholden to these universal moral laws as all men descend from Noah and his 3 sons.
This makes alot of sense with Christ embracing the 10 Commandments. A different set of laws from an older age for a newer age to use to differentiate from the Truth that is Jesus. The cyclical nature of man with the law of God possibly coming into play again? Satan will always try to mock our Lord.

When someone tries to tell me that all people from one maintstream religion is more violent than the other mainstream religion I feel skeptical of anything else from there they are saying. Mother Theresa was like that too regardless of how much and how many people were criticizing her for that.
