This is an authentic Indian curried beef mince recipe called Qeema (or keema or kheema). It’s a gem of a find because it tastes incredible but unlike many Indian dishes, there are no hard-to-find spices in the ingredients. And it’s super fast - on the table in 20 minutes!
Serve over basmati rice. - N x ❤️

Qeema - Easy Indian Curried Beef Mince
INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp oil (veg, canola)
4 tsp ginger, finely chopped
5 large garlic cloves, minced (about 4 tsp minced garlic)
1 large onion, finely diced
1lb/500g ground beef (mince)
3/4 tsp salt
1 - 1 1/2 tsp ground chilli powder* or cayenne pepper (not US “Chili Powder”)
1 1/2 tsp EACH garam masala powder, cumin and coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 cup water
DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oil in a skillet over high heat. Add ginger and garlic and saute for 1 minute until fragrant - don't let it burn! Add onion and cook for 1 minute until it is starting to turn translucent.
2. Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you go, until it changes from pink to light brown. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT water. Cook until the beef is cooked through - about 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Add water, give it a stir, then put the lid on. Turn heat down to medium and let it simmer for 10 minutes or until most of the water has evaporated.
4. Garnish with red chilli flakes and cilantro/coriander leaves. Serve with rice - and/or my easy no yeast flatbreads or frozen store-bought roti (cook from frozen!)!!
* US Chili Powder is not just pure ground chillis, it has other flavour additions so it isn’t that spicy. This recipe calls for pure ground chili, cayenne pepper or anything else that will add spiciness. - Навчання та стиль
Yum! 😊 I like to add freshly diced tomato on top when serving too. Really freshens it up ❤❤❤

Yum.❤nagi remmeber that guy complaining about no mince in food recipe u posted on insta lol😅
Have ppl not discovered injipundu???
It’s controversial because it does not have either yogurt or tomato in its base.
The very least could be a good dose of lemon/lime juice.
This is so scandalous…. 😮
Indians usually go for minced mutton or chicken, not minced beef
Not spicy enough for my taste Very bland 😔
Indian beef? Controversial!
Anglo Indian ;)
Only for Hindus.
@@Qursheed Not all Indians are Hindu, but let's offend the Hindus anyway. Just saying 😜
Some Hindus eat beef. It's very common in Kerala
Beef is a staple food in Kerala! (a southern state)
I don’t think Indian eat beef
Some Indians eat beef particularly Christian and Muslim Indians.
India has a huge Muslim and Christian population who eat beef.
Yes, they do! Especially people in my state (Kerala), in fact beef is a staple food here :)

@@Jepse89 Beef is commonly eaten in the South and North-East regions of India. But not so much in North India. A lot of North Indian religious fanatics keep making too much noise about it, so foreigners think that Indians don't consume beef at all, which is not true.
