    Meat marinade
    500 grams meat
    Soy sauce 1 tbsp
    Wine 1tbsp
    White pepper 1/4 tsp
    Corn starch 1 tbsp
    Baking soda 1 tsp
    Cooking oil 1 tbsp
    Sauce ingredients
    Soy sauce 1 tbsp
    Oyster sauce 2 tbsp
    Dark soy sauce 1/2 tsp
    Sugar 1 tbsp
    Chick Bouillon 1 tsp
    shaoxing wine 1 tbsp
    Water 5 tbsp
    Corn starch 1 tbsp.
    You’re welcome and enjoy this wonderful recipe. I only did the meat setup and sauce setup because that’s where the video goes too fast.

      Shaoxing wine is not regular wine. It’s kinda like a vinegar that contains some alcohol.

      @@haisoj9 For me, it is mostly my mise en place is garbage. I really should set up but I won't. I know it costs me more time but my brain refuses to stop thinking of it as a time saver.

    I made this for dinner last night, served over short-grain jasmine rice. A very easy recipe to follow. The results were perfect!At the dinner table I was doing Claire's happy dance! 😋

      @AaronandClaire In the kitchen, I was playing the longer Y.T. version of the video because I needed the step by step instructions. It was my 1st try at this new recipe & I was pleasantly surprised how well it came out. Let's just say, I won't be buying the beef & broccoli from the Chinese carryout anymore.     😍 what does putting the broccoli in ice water do?

      That would stop the cooking process, so that will help the broccoli keep nice and crispy. You could also rinse under cold water. Hope this helps! 😁🙌

    Can I replace the wine with something non alcoholic??

      If the recipe calls for only a small amount of cooking wine like this, you can skip it. If that looks too dry, you can add the same amount of water. Still gonna be good. Don’t worry! 😊

      Worth getting a bottle of shaoxing wine, it does add a good flavour. But if you want alcohol free just use stock.

      @Tiffany B I guess some of the alcohol will burn off when it's in the wok bubbling away. I suppose you could do that before adding it if you wanted alcohol free.
