I didn't even wreck my hair in this video! I thought I was being pretty responsible about bleaching (this time) but it really seems to trigger people. Basically all of my disposable income goes to hair dye and travel for concerts 😀
It’s your hair.. you do what you want Can’t believe that despite the quite clear title people keep commenting about your being damaged lol People are so intent on being negative SHE ALREADY KNOWS HER HAIR IS DAMAGED ITS THE WHOLE TITLE!!!!
Hi licensed cosmetologist and hairstylist here, I just wanna explain some things you mentioned in your video. 1.) You said you have been wanting to get rid of yellow tones in your hair now there are a few different ways you can do that so one way is is to use a purple/violet toner for only a few minutes, the reason for that if look at a color wheel you will see that yellow and purple are on opposite ends meaning they will cancel each other out same thing with red and green and also orange and blue. The other way is to just let your color fade and grow out and then go in with different toners to get rid of the unwanted toners. 2.) you said your hair lighten really fast and that has everything to do with your hair porosity and what that means is how well your hair can take in and retain moisture and and how quickly your hair can process during chemical treatment (i.e. Lighting/color services, permanent waves, relaxers, etc.) Here are some Pro-Tips if you do this again. 1.) After doing any bleaching on yourself do a deep conditioning treatment on your hair afterwards to allow your to get as much moisture back into the hair as possible you can do this with any conditioner or hair mask (Note: you choose to do a toner along with it do the toner first so that way your hair will actually take the toner because after you put the conditioner or mask on it will be much harder for your hair to take it since conditioner seals the cuticle) 2.) Let your hair get as dirty as possible before doing any chemical service because the oils on the scalp will help to protect from any burning or itchy sensation (Note: if for whatever reason it does start to burn rinse it off immediately) Thanks for reading.
Thanks! It's been so long that I don't remember what I was babbling on about in this video! I have a vague recollection of using yellow dye that had always been fading fast right up until I wanted it to fade fast...and this was an emergency since I needed the colour to look good immediately rather than letting it fade. Anyway, I do deep condition after bleaching and usually don't bother toning, I just work with what I've got and plan the next colour around it 🙂
As iv said its just hair can be cut ✂️ to why I keep it short now lol easier to fix and treat lol buying more hair care when paid in may and a new pixie cut
Hi 😊 I just stumbled across your video, have you ever tried aphogee protein and then moisture mask? I'm similar to you but blue, and I lost most of my length it was so damaged 💔 but the aphogee made such a difference, along with olaplex, my hair has its beautiful curls back, still waiting for the length but it's a FANTASTIC product x ❤️
Hello! I did try aphogee but my hair was so damaged it took forever to dry and I gave up while trying to blow dry the product in. It might be worth a try now that I've cut off most of the worst damage
I’m barely in the beginning of the video but I think you’re really pretty with the natural color of your roots. I just hope you make it through this. I’m in the same position. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
I give people a lot of credit. I could never video myself. They spend a lot of money and time and I hope for the best. It's rough on your hair to bleach so much to change colors. Good luck
Crushed vitamin C & Selsun blue antidandruf shampoo or clarifying shampoo for 1 hour wrapped in plastic kitchen wrap & it might remove or at least fade the multi colours without ruining your hair. I have over-processed my hair many times. It’s pretty scary & takes a long time to get it to a condition where you’re not worried it will just fall out. I hope it works out for you.
I've used vitamin C with mixed amounts of success many times and would have for this but I was in a hurry! This was a few months and a couple haircuts ago - my hair is in much better condition now 😀
I put semi permanent color in my hair like a green color and I used joico color remover. It fried my hair to death it was bad. I’m afraid to put those kinds of bright colors in my hair again. I hope you were able to get the look you wanted
I haven't used it but I think that is a bleach based colour remover. So it will fry off your hair unless you're really careful. You should try vivid colors again though, it's a challenge but it's possible to do it without destroying your hair! Haha don't take the state of mine in this video as the way things will always work out - this is what happens after repeated reckless bleaching!
@@catladykelsy yeah I know how it is to repeat bleaching and it screws up your hair:/ I’m thinking about trying vivid colors again like a red because everytime I put a permanent red in my hair it fades really fast. I’m thinking I can use the permanent red for my roots and then the semipermanent red for my kids and ends:)
Use 10 vol or 7 vol! With ur fine hair it would still lift out! With little or no breakage if y let ur hair rest in between! The breakage is ur 30’vol!
@@michelereynolds14 @michele logue LOL this sounds (and is) so bad...but I dont have any split ends, I have either half melted ends or what is left after those break off! This video was the length in early April. I cut some off after that and will probably cut it again in the next couple weeks, which will get the worst of it off.
Look into k18 shampoo and leave treatment or olapex it will really help and regular trims is how I saved mine I'm not 100 % but not fried anymore like I was in fall 2022 was able to do blonde again so
Hi! I just stumbled on this video tonight, and dont believe ive seen any of your others.. but i wanted to say that you kinda look like Laura Prepon, and I think you'd be BEAUTIFUL with a red color. (Youre beautiful already though) Thanks for the video! I over toned my hair and it's pretty damaged as well, so I specifically wanted a video of bleaching damaged hair. So I appreciate you and this video 🩷
Hello! I have several bleaching videos up but most are on less damaged hair. This hair all did eventually get cut off and a fair bit melted off when I was not as careful as I was this time! I used to do red a lot before I started with vivid colours. Red would be in the rotation but it's SO hard to remove!
@@catladykelsy I went and looked at more of your videos after I finished watching this one 😊 red is definitely hard to get out, and ironically fades pretty quickly too. So I get it lol
Crush vitamin C tablets up into powder, mix with shampoo, apply to hair and leave it for an hour or, as long as possible. I promise you this works to remove color!

baking powder n developer shampoo will help without damage also
Baking soda was very damaging to my hair, worse than bleach
Baking powder does nothing for changing color. You need bleach. In fact baking powder is very damaging because of the high PH balance.
