Effasol is an amazing product, you should’ve done it with hot water and leave it on for 30 minutes. That being said I’ve noticed you mostly do blue-green and purple hair, it would be a good idea to just bleach your roots and play with different hues of blue that way your hair will grow out healthier and be in better condition.

I've still got some left, maybe one day I'll try it with hot water. I didn't have faith that it would work on hair that dark with just water! The plan for now is to gradually work to lighter colours so we'll see if I have the patience!

@@catladykelsy yeah once many years ago I tried to go brunette and of course I didn’t fill the hair with red or copper so I ended up with brown roots and green ends. I ran out and got effassol and trust me it took me back to blonde in one sitting! Been blonde ever since! Goodluck!

Color oops works too, if you Shake it up long enough it isn’t that liquid, more like a gel or slime then you work it in and its quick saturation

Did you ever try Malibu DDL with Malibu un-doo goo shampoo? Used by salons can be done a few times no bleach or damage for me

Thanks for this! I am always searching for ways to remove blue dyes which are some of the most difficult colors (along with green) to remove. The problem is I always seem to go right back to blue shortly after removing it because I miss it.😂🤣

BTW, The light blue color you were left with looks amazing!

You needed the 20 volume to get the colors out. Blue always sticks around and it’s the worse when fading. Your hair needs a hair conditioning treatment

I don't need the damage from 20 volume! The goal is to gradually lighten it

Efassor with 20 vol takes out blue and green. No mint leftovers.

You can’t try toning it with a pastel orange. That will neutralize the color but don’t leave it in too long.
If you are just going blue or purple again it’s probably light enough.

Neutralizing with orange is a challenge when the colour is so uneven

How about laying off the bleach and color removers. Your colors are usually similar. Let your roots grow and throw some Mondo hair color on the ends.

I think it's gone back to the previous stage before you put the blue in and faded that a little too. I guess our hair has layers and layers of colour build up that these products have to get through unless of course you use straight up bleach which I wouldn't recommend.

Yes I would prefer to keep the hair on my head! I wish I could have it silver right now but that's a long way off

Or you could have left the 10 volume on the effasol a little longer for at least 30 min.

Please don't say the color plan is blue, green, or purple. lol

for MOST people always try color oops first before trying a bleach bath but ONLY FOR MOST PERMANENT COLORS (which in your color oops video explains why the blue was hard to get out). that's a pretty color you have to. id assume its a semi or demi perm color so 20 vol bleach bath is your best bet and just depp condition it after and maybe give your hair a break for a week or two and do a 10 vol bleach bath to get the rest out. if you can get some cheap bond strengthener serum put that in the bleach bath. ion has a pretty cheap one that can be mixed into permanent color or bleach. blue and red are HELL TO GET OUT. you actually got it to a pretty light color so a 10 vol bleach bath in a week or so might get you to where you need to be and if it turns to a green which is highly likley then you will need to color correct it with some type of demi orange mixed with conditioner on the green and just strand test it because when you lighten it again it should be more yellow instead of green beacsue the orange you put on it (i dont know what color you would want to go after a getting to a light green but getting that light green out would be a must for almost any color you want). but with this blue color you have id say 20 vol is a MUST when its that dark and it wont be multiple bleach baths later on with vol 10 like most people think its still just as bad for your hair if you do 3 bleach baths in a month to replace one bleach bath with 20 vol the FIRST time. make sure you hair is damp before the bleach bath and it should sud up and not be dry and cakey if you mixed it correctly.

Oh I've played the colour removal game so many times! This was more about comparing results than getting it to blonde

You need to just skip the bleach bath and go for just the bleach
