1979 දී එවකට ශ්‍රීලංකාවේ විශිෂ්ඨතම කැසට් නිෂ්පාදන ආයතනය වූ සිංලංකා සමාගම මගින් නිශ්පාදිත කැසට් පට 25 ක් අතරේ ටී.එම්.ජයරත්න ගායන ශිල්පියා වෙනුවෙන් ගීත 4 ක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමේ අවස්ථාව මට ලැබුනි. වලා තීරයෙන්, නොබලන් කුමරිය, එදා වගේ සද හා මුලු ලොවම නැතිවුනත්. යන ගීත ඒ අතර විය.මේ ගීත 4 ම අතිශයින් ජනප්‍රිය වීමේ හේතුවෙන් එවකට ගීතක්ෂේත්‍රයට පිවිසෙමින් සිටි නවකයින් වූ මටත් කුලරත්න ආරියවංශට හා කිත්සිරි නිමල්ශාන්තටත් ටී.එම් ටත් ලැබුනේ ප්‍රබල උත්තේජනයකි. ප්‍රසංග වේදිකාවේ ටී.එම් ට ගව් ගනනක් ඉදිරියට නැග එන්නට මේ ගීත අතරින් මුලු ලොවම ගීතය ලබාදුන්නේ යෝධ ශක්තියකි.
මේ ගීතයට වයස අවුරුදු 44 ක් ! 1980 දී වගේම අදත් එකවගේම ජනප්‍රියයි.පසුගිය වසරේ ජූලි 2 වැනිදා පැවැත්වූ "ආදරණීය රෝහණ" ප්‍රසංගයේ මේ ගීතය T.M. ගයද්දී ලැබුනු අසීමිත ප්‍රේක්ෂක ප්‍රතිචාරය ඊට හොඳම නිදසුනක් . ඔබත් එය රසවිඳ බලන්න.
