Hawkeye first appeared if I remember when I checked years ago. Because I was putting my collection in order of creation and it said 1964. If we get more it'll be Kate Bishop Hawkeye.
Great review for an excellent Marvel Select Hawkeye action figure, Kyle. Hawkeye's appearance is based on his original costume, from 1964, when he appeared in Tales Of Suspense # 57.
Great review KP on a 1st appearance version of Clint. Or, should I say the colors he wore in his first appearance. DST did a fantastic job on the buck, and getting the Wasp on an arrow is DST spoiling us rotten. So I got thinking the Wasp wasn't in Hawkeye's 1st appearance, so it was an odd choice of an accessory. I dug and found that Hawkeye had three artists until '67: The King, Don Heck and Big John Buscema. DST made the perfect amalgamation of those three version's into one figure. I've been on the fence upgrading my ML Retro, and this one would definitely be an upgrade. DST is currently offering $30 CAN for this with an awesomesauce base that is so useful in so many ways. Meanwhile, over at the ML catalogue, I could save a dollar and get Siryn,,,,with her closed mouth...which will prevent her from flying...thus making her gliding cape redundant. Thanks so much for your review KP, it was great.
I think Hawkeye maintained that look in the comics into the 2000s. Then they changed it to be in line with the MCU. Great looking figure and much more toyetic than his current look to me. I'm not sure I'll get it because I'm also trying to stick with just the larger Marvel Selects but it's tempting. I really liked Disney+ series too. Funny thing with Deep Discount is I just ordered the Watcher from them through Amazon before watching the video. Couldn't wait to get him after watching the video.
been getting into marvel selects lately. i feel i missed the boat on a lot of these but happy bbts still has some
Awesome price. Some of the figure stands alone in these are great for dioramas or photos.
I agree I felt that Hawkeye was the best of the superhero series
