look at this girl that started by hiding, if bluring spoons that had a reflection, to "this is the raw me." so proud of you. so happy tyler is getting the care he needs!
@@ahoardersheartoh Melanie, you have such a good heart! You have come so far! My husband is currently on day 13 two brain operations in. It’s funny how your thoughts affect you , I thought I was the only one!! Feeling rough looking dodgy, but its not true, so many others go through this mess hidden from other people who don’t realise ❤
I was so sorry to see Tyler had to go to the hospital. That must have been so stressful for you and the family. I’m so glad he improved enough to go home. You are improving so much in your hoarding you can’t expect to be perfect but the fact that you have more decluttering videos just goes to show how far you have come in the journey. ❤❤❤❤
After work, I decluttered 2 huge black bags of sweaters, coats, robes that do not fit me, serve me or have been worn by me. Felt so good to have hubby run me to charity shop directly to drop off donate. I also took down rest of Christmas to store for the year. ❤️
Thank you Melanie for helping those of us who are not hoarders the emotions and thoughts behind hoarding. I have family members who do hoard and it helps me to be more compassionate. 😅
I am thankful that Tyler is makeing progress back to good health. Your family always comes first. We will be here when you return. Thank you for all you do to help us recover from hoarding. Thank you.
Get well soon, Tyler ❤ my mama heart goes out too you, Ms Heart. It is so difficult to see your child not feeling good and suffering. Sending lots of hugs ❤❤❤
Good for you for breaking free of SHEIN! Fast fashion is such a problem, esp companies like that. I’ve been trying to switch to thrifting rather than getting new clothes, and I wanna focus on finding higher quality stuff where I can. Also, glad that Tyler is feeling better!
I agree with you, thrifting is a great way to slow down the intake of new stuff!!! And once I heard of the working conditions of the workers, my heart couldn’t support companies that do that to their employees! We’re helping the planet as much as we can with these small but important actions ❤️🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼❤️
You've talked about how the no-spend challenges have really helped you, but it still looks like A LOT of stuff is coming into the house. I am wondering if you are buying a lot of stuff on the days when you do let yourself spend? I wonder if it would help to implement a spending limit (e.g., can only buy 1 item I *want* this month or something like that)? I love how you prevented things coming back home with you from the hospital. That's such a huge win!
Hello!!! Believe it or not, most of my hoard wasn’t bought from a store! A lot of it was for free and the hoard you see lately was from storage lockers I had for years! When I got laid off my job last year, it all came into my house!
Been praying for him -- and I will continue. So sorry it's been such a tough time for him. Give yourself grace as you do care for him and for yourself. 💞💞💞
So glad you finally saw the call for a recycling dump spot in the laundry. Ive been calling for it in the comments since your laundry make over. Rudely all capping it on occasion, or asking people to like to boost so you'd notice. I have a strong sense of relief and satisfaction. Onwards and upwards!
The beginning of your video hit me. My husband ended up getting Stevens-Johnson syndrome as a reaction to his mycoplasma pneumonia and it started as sores in his mouth. It's so rare that it took a long time for Mayo Clinic to even recognize it. Just adding this comment on the rare chance that he is experiencing the same thing and you experience doctors not knowing what's going on.
Ohhh wowww!!! Thank you for sharing his story with us ❤️🙏🏼❤️ Luckily the mouth sores fully healed and he is eating normal and back to school! But I do wonder if someone else is experiencing the same issue as your hubby, well I pray they find your message so they can have answers 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm so sorry your baby is sick. I have a grandson that was born with some medical issues and have spent time in the hospital with him. So glad he is home now! I know how worried you have been. Good job on the pre-declutter and declutter!
So glad Tyler is getting better. I really admired you and recognised the temptation to take all of those 'useful' little bits and pieces. I can now remind myself that yes, they are handy little sample sizes, but I don't need them. Thank you so much.
So glad that Tyler is home and recovering. Now make sure you take some time for you as well. What a victory that you were able to do some preventive decluttering (only taking home what you would need or use). Then you go home and clear an area...How inspiring you are. I have to say that you look good for spending three days in the hospital! Take care and thanks for the reminder that small steps still move us forward...Blessings!❣
Love and healing thoughts to you and your family. Please know that you continue to inspire even when you aren't posting. I use your advice and inspiration every day in my own feeble attempts to declutter my life. Thank you!
So sorry your son was in the hospital but so happy he is at home and on the mend. I am doing the Declutter Challenge and have decluttered over 100 items so far. Your calendar is beautiful and motivating. Looking forward to more decluttering in this new year.
Sending you healing vibes Tyler xxx!!! I hope you make a full and quick recovery! Bless you all 🌺🌺🌺 I am really loving, doing your decluttering challenge. We are a day ahead here in NZ being the 11th here. It is what we call the school holidays or Christmas holidays here, so lots of busyness and interruptions but I am still enjoying and keeping up the challenge. I think how you decluttered at the hospital is a fantastic idea, I hope you added in the numbers!!! I was a bit stuck what to declutter when my granddaughter (4yrs) turned up, until she brought out the felt pens and voila quite a few tossy tossy hehehehe.....more things leaving the house!
Thank you for taking the time to make a video today. I have learned so much from you sharing your story! Praying for your sweet family! And way to go on the progress you have made!!!!
Woohoo! Hooray for discharge from the hospital, I hope his continued recovery goes well~ And I'm so happy for you that you adjusted your plans, but still made forward progress and cleared the door pathway. In the past, I would have been overwhelmed with a life situation, and given up entirely, but it seems we're on a similar journey, learning that even doing a smaller part of a previously planned project will help continue the forward momentum. Here's to improved health for you and all your family for the rest of 2025. ❤
Glad that Tyler is out of the hospital and make progress towards good health again sending meditative thoughts to Tyler, and also to you as well Ms Heart for your kidney stone treatment. Well done on being more conscious as to what you are bringing into your home and not bringing the hospital clutter home. You did amazingly well.
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad your family is all ok!!❤️ I also find that hospital stays bring out reflection and truth. Having long quiet time, makes you think deeply. You do what you have to do. We love you. Life barrels in sometimes..
Glad to hear Tyler will be back home-and very sorry you had to all go thru it! Cam only imagine, how stressed you were! Prayers for Tyler to get fully well soon, and for all, including Miss Pepper, to stay healthy all this new year round! And, as someone already mentioned-it is incredible to see to-the "raw you", knowing from what an extremely fragile start securenesa you come from! You are shining, as a Mother, a Wife, a Woman, a Community Helper and a most Wonderful Being:) Thank you for being here, and once again-take care, wishing all a strong health, and to have lots of funn with Tyler, upom his return home! Cheers❤
Sending thoughts and prayers to Tyler and your whole family. Hopefully he has a smooth recovery and that no one else gets sick. Take some time for r&r.💕
I’m so sorry that Tyler had to go to the hospital! Nothing is worse than seeing your child suffer. Going thru that pile was so easy for you because now your decluttering muscles are stronger and you’re gaining a much better understanding of the hoarder’s mindset. I’m so proud of you ❣️
I’m glad Tyler is home. I am recovering from kidney stone surgery myself. It was a 24 hr deal for me. Love the decluttering challenge! 😊 I was thinking while you were showing the candy canes is that they can all probably fit in one or two of those containers. Then you can trashy the now empty ones, since the one candy cane has joined the others.
Good for you! Well done! I really like the hospital socks because they are slip resistant, and I can wear them around the house. If Tyler isn't going to wear them, then it's really great that you didn't bring them home. ❤

So good to hear that he is getting better. And I love the concept of Preemptively Decluttering. Stopping it before it enters the home.
Yessss!!! If I can declutter potential clutter in the home, we’re ahead of the game!!
After work, I decluttered 2 huge black bags of sweaters, coats, robes that do not fit me, serve me or have been worn by me. Felt so good to have hubby run me to charity shop directly to drop off donate. I also took down rest of Christmas to store for the year. ❤️
Yesssss!!! You are doing absolutely AMAZING my friend!!! So proud of you 👏🦄💜🌟🙏🏼
@ahoardersheart thank you for your kind words my friend 🧡
Speedy recovery to Tyler! Sorry to hear he had to go to hospital. I really hope he gets well soon.
