Sweet kitchen ! Looks like a great retirement place, cause the price of this home is very affordable compared to the unaffordable Okanagan.
We are in strathmore later this week looking to locate from the U.K having just activated our permanent residency. Is it a pretty self contained area ? Would we really need to go in to Calgary for anything ?

It's $399k because winter legit lasts from the end of September until the start of June. 8 months of freezing cold temps. You can buy a way nicer home on bigger lot in NC for less money with an amazing rental yield.
Absolutely true. I live in Calgary and all these so called people moving from Ontario and BC in search of cheap home are into rude awakening. If you don't love winter and gloomy cold, think twice before settling in the middle of no where.

@@jayd6098 A week or two of below -20c, but like -5c or above most of winter. It doesn't even get above -5c all winter in Ontario. Sounds like you never have gone outside once during winter if you have no idea what the reality is.
Good price. It would be nice for retirees. Not sure why you'd want to drive everywhere and still have the downsides of living in the city, with none of the upsides of living in the city.

Soo nice. You forgot that you have year round cow shit smell from the stock yard from the north the south the east and the west and it will always smell like that. Not to mention the near by sloo that smells like sewage all year long. You will always get lots of bugs except in the winter. Great place to live😉

Ontarian who’s lived in alberta fir 10 years. It’s whack!!! Don’t move here. Prices are cheaper but you pay for it in other ways. Like it’s really boring here for one.
When are you heading back? 10 years is a long time to live somewhere you despise.
@@theartfuldodger81 I moved there for ex wife. Who was from there. Didn't work out partly due to her being content with edmonton life. She grew up in small town alberta. Toronto or major city and small town alberta not a good match I unfortunately. Also I developed sever depression there but had to choose her or leave. eventually chose leave it's that bad.
