I lost my brother when I was 28 he was 26. I can relate to Gregg's pain. I can feel it like my own. It never goes away. All you ever knew of that person never goes away so in a way they're always with you. You just have to settle for memories and remembering the feelings when they were alive. You just have to keep going you can't go back.
The world will never see anyone like Gregg Allman again. Truly one of a kind genius and talent. Same with Jackson. Sure glad I was around during this time.
One of the best collaborations I’ve ever heard with Gregg Allman and JB. One of the best songs to play and sing too. They sure as hell don’t play music 🎶 like this anymore. RIP Gregg. You’re sorely missed in the music world. And keep on truckin’ and writing music JB.
Saw Gregg do this at Winterland on his first solo tour, must have been '73, '74? It was awesome of course, but he didn't have Jackson with him that night... between that and my own advanced age I can't watch this one without a tear. "I'm aware of them..." Truth.
I just saw Jackson Browne live at Bethel Woods Saturday night. Just to see him do this 1 song was worth the price of admission. Luckily we got to see a list of other great songs as well. 2 encores & there could have been more.
Gregg Allman One of the most Soulful singers of my lifetime ! The day I heard he had passed really set me back. When I was told he'd passed I said out loud ' No Not Gregg Please'. And this song is one of my personnel favorites it just ooze's soul and not to forget Jackson he's pretty good too.
Writing it,and being able to sing it the way you wanted it to be heard is two different things. It was Nice of Jackson Brown to Give the Recognition to Greg Allman. Respect is something Most Musicians have for each other, and Jackson Brown was awesome for admitting this !! Musicians Are a Special Breed,And I'm proud to be classed as a Musician too !!!! I Love Music !!
If I close my eyes I can go back in time-before both motorcycles accidents, everyone was alive and well, and Jackson was a young man first starting out. Beautiful music, beautiful people, and the world seemed like a happier place in more simple times. Just wishing.
Greggallman you look absolutely beautiful here, you were always very handsome, and for that your illness could not take that away from you. Love you, rest in peace my beautiful angel xoxoxoxoxoxoxoect.
Man, this is just too beautiful. What a friendship, maybe an unlikely one, between two 18 year old from vastly different parts of the country but when people are as deeply soulful as these two, it makes perfect sense. RIP Greg. You were a giant.
Jackson is my favorite song writer. These guys have such a presence on stage too, and I'd imagine they have all their life. Thankful to get to hear what they have to say.
This song brings back so many memories of mine! In the early seventies, I had my first real love! She swept me off my feet! We became engaged. We didn’t quite make it the alter, but that was my fault! I was much too immature and I didn’t get myself straight! I lost her and another one that I couldn’t hang on to! It was a good time and a bad time! I guess it had to happen!
Well I had a lover, I don't think I'll risk another these days these days I seem to be afraid to live the life that I've made .. It's just that I have been losing ... so long... Little did I know when I first listened to this song how true these words would one day ring. Yet.. I do still to this day love this song endlessly ... Gregg Allman and Jackson Browne .. two of the ultimate greats ... ok.. I need to start this from the beginning and listen .. yet again... even though it will make me cry ....
First time I have heard him sing one of many Jackson favourite's , Emotions run deep in my soul , my ex husband was the biggest Jackson fan ..... Tis so so beautiful . I will always love you Karl , always and rest in divine melodic heavenly peace ...... a man who touched my heart today
This is one of those rare moments which seal the magic of friendship throughout the years. Captured live, this behind the glimpse moments before taking the stage, remains one of the all time moments of a forever capture, where we all see ourselves for who we once were . Then and now
Two musicians that gave me so much happiness, good times, laughing and loving while listening to their music growing up, and still to this very day the music sends me back to some of the very best memories of my life, thank you both, love and respect, God bless always and in all ways, rest in Heavenly peace Gregg🙏❤✌

Just beautiful! Thank you for posting. I had not seen this before.
Hello Kathleen , if you are receiving this message it means you are a true fan and I want to say a big thanks for your love and support towards me and my career all through the years of my life, sending love to you and yours.
Thank you to two great giants of raw music. RIP Gregg, long live Jackson
Hard to believe, and sad, that this is the very first, and only time they ever got to sing it together. ☹
Unbelievable song, and lyrics from 2 absolute masters. Thank God you heard them !!
O' so more poignant knowing he was gone not long after this...what a moment, that will last forever.
I just saw Jackson Browne live at Bethel Woods Saturday night. Just to see him do this 1 song was worth the price of admission. Luckily we got to see a list of other great songs as well. 2 encores & there could have been more.
Did he do "After The Deluge" there??
About THE most appropriate song for THAT venue!! 😉
This song, especially in this beautiful, soulful version by these two great musicians (and a great band) brings tears to my eyes!
Just wishing.
what a stage full of talent--a true delight, such love and respect...s
Hello Stephen
How are you doing?
It’s nice meeting you here!
They have such respect for each other that it makes the message of the songs they sing meaningful for me.
So natural he sings a song, his voice brings your spirit out of you and says this the way to give soul to music. Thanks for this post.
RIP Greg. So many great shows I've been too. He liked Memphis.
I love how Jackson looks at Gregg while he's singing.
I love that too -- I just love watching performers enjoying each other during their performances. It's so cool, so sweet.
Two "old souls" in a mutual admiration. God bless them.
This is heartbreaking and so beautiful...
I love listening to these two ❤
Greggallman you look absolutely beautiful here, you were always very handsome, and for that your illness could not take that away from you. Love you, rest in peace my beautiful angel xoxoxoxoxoxoxoect.
WHO IS PLAYING THAT PIANO,IT MUST BE SOMEONE GREGG TAUGHT!!
Those LONG legs and perfectly combed hair.
Love these two
Man, this is just too beautiful.
No need to remind yourself of your failures....
First time I have heard him sing one of many Jackson favourite's ,
Emotions run deep in my soul , my ex husband was the biggest Jackson fan .....
Tis so so beautiful . I will always love you Karl , always and rest in divine melodic heavenly peace ...... a man who touched my heart today
what a great vocal for this song, Allman killing it as usual
This is one of those rare moments which seal the magic of friendship throughout the years. Captured live, this behind the glimpse moments before taking the stage, remains one of the all time moments of a forever capture, where we all see ourselves for who we once were . Then and now
Favorites! Could even be requested to be played at my funeral
Two musicians that gave me so much happiness, good times, laughing and loving while listening to their music growing up, and still to this very day the music sends me back to some of the very best memories of my life, thank you both, love and respect, God bless always and in all ways, rest in Heavenly peace Gregg🙏❤✌
