Great video. Any update on progress? Would love to know what you changed, cleaned, or upgraded in the revamp.

I’ve got water trickling in through the speaker vent in the cargo area. Before I go stripping it all out can you give any tips from where the water may be getting in. It a UK 2004 100 series 4.2 tdi
Many thanks and video gives me some encouragement to tackle the job
My body shop could even see where the water was getting in……water trickling from a speaker isn’t normal
I also plan fitting a new carpet
    Cheers

Wow! I hope I never have to do this! I’ll keep my beat up interior. But if I ever have the necessity to pull any of this apart, I know where to look. 👍

So much to unpack here! 1) your dedication to cleaning your mom’s Lexus wins you son of the month status 2) surprising crud and rust underneath all this bits 3) I saw you tossing screws/bolts in a container or the ashtray…please tell me off camera you put them all in plastic bags with labels? Or are you a attachment savant and remember where everything goes? 4) I’ve taken out small areas to fix/clean like the entire center console but wow you are doing the whole dang truck. Kudos! 5) maybe change the fuel pump while you have it all out 6) is the next video going to show us how you clean all the interior pieces? Patch you are performing a LX miracle.

      1. I do love my mother 😂💕
      2. lots of coke stains
      3. i’ve actually already reassembled the whole truck and kept all the bits in that box. didn’t have any leftover parts 😎
      4. the WHOLE dang truck
      5. fuel pump will work until it won’t. I’ve got a spare but I’ll just wait

    Great instructional videos! Thanks Patch!
Can you do a video on changing front seat covers on Series 100 Landcruiser?
Which company would you recommend for seat covers - best quality leather, fit, color matching ?

You left out the process of removing the hood and gas cap levers from the driver's kick panel. I'm trying to get them off mine so I have better access with the panel removed to replace the telescoping wheel motor. How are those levers attached to the kick panel. There's a little metal clip on top but even with that released they seem tight in the panel.

Do you know if the 2000 Land Cruiser share the same carpet as a 2000 Lexus LX 470 ?

    • @cruiserpatch

I'm pretty sure you did this but didn't film it, disconnect the battery before you start.

we bought the truck for $5500 and have probably put about $3500 into it so far…maybe less. that second figure seems high
