  • Evy shows off some great techniques in this clip from our Sew Fair on Saturday November 8th. I know the viewing angle is terrible, but you can still see how she does the flip stitch, cording etc.

Never heard of this machine and it's been around for a few years! Great machine!

You can do that stitch on a regular sewing machine, just program a limited repeat of the straight stitch in the memory, the machine will stop and let you cross the yarn under the foot. I've done it many times. I do want a Sashiko!

Your camera angle only shows your hand. We can’t see anything you are doing. No close ups or anything is being shown that we can actually see

Marilyn- this video was recorded so that my customers who attended this seminar could go back and watch it any time they wanted. The camera was there to provide another angle to those watching in the class, not to be some masterwork of cinematography. I made the video public so anyone else could watch it who might be interested.

I am concerned about how the back looks. Is it stable enough through the batting and the back fabric?

+Sharon Whittington the back looks like a normal sewing machine stitch, and it its plenty stable

thank you, do you need to use a stabiliser on a single piece of fabric?

I love Baby Lock ut this machine is a no go for me. I've seen them at a steady "3000.00 average sale price. Thats WAY too much for what is essentially a one trick pony at best! I would rather spend the MSRP of $3999.00, on a new machine that has all the capabilities. For me, this is a $200.00 or $300.00 machine. I dont mean to sound petty or to pooh pooh the zwah-rooh. Its just so expensive to do just one stitch. Unless I can use it to assemble items?

okay, I have a point to make about calling this Sassy Girl?... it may sound cute... not Sashiko was a time honored artform, and this just so commercializes it's background. I will never call it that... ugh Give the history it's respect... it would figure that some company would commercialize it :P
