    They need to add this stitch to the midarm and longarm. That would be perfect.

      You shout consider getting a bobbin case to “play”. Start by loosening it’s tension.

    Very helpful thank you. Can you use a thicker top thread? If so how thick? A 12 or 8?

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  3 роки тому +1

      Using a thicker top thread will ruin the mock hand quilting effect. Only fine 100 or 60 weight thread is recommended. The color thread that you see in the stitch is the bobbin thread.

    I am unable to replicate that stitch. I get very small bottom thread stitches on top. I played with the tension and the thread types. Any tips?

    Beautiful. I have the 770 QE, so what stitch would that be please? I’ve not used a heavier thread in the bobbin, but I’d love to try it. Thank you.

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  3 роки тому +4

      I used stitch # 1328 and do not use super heavy thread. 40 wt mettler will do just fine, or 28wt Aurifil. Make sure that you use 60wt seracor (mettler) or a 100wt silk (superior kimono) or even bottom line (Superior thread)

      On a bernina 335 it’s 106, on a bernina 4 and 5 series it’s 1304 and on the 7 series it’s 1328. As for older BERNINAS you will have to check your manual. The stitch is represented as looking like a hand running stitch.

    Buenas tardes. Tengo una Bernina 570 Quilt Edition. Me gustaría saber qué tensión, puntada y pie prensatelas tendría que utilizar con esa máquina para obtener ese mismo resultado que usted muestra. Muchas gracias!

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  3 роки тому +1

      necesitas la puntada 1304, es la puntada simulada para acolchar a mano. Usé hilo inferior de 60 wt en la parte superior e isacord de 40 wt en la parte inferior. la tensión se establece en 8.

    I've been struggling with my 880Plus and Quilting stitch 1328. Did you demo this with a sandwich of batting between? I wonder how it would look? I used the same threads and tried wonderfil in the top dialed up to 9 but it still isn't looking like a running stitch. It looks like a miniscule stab stitch without any definition.

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  3 роки тому

      I used the Bernina 880 plus, bottom line thread in the top, isacord 40 wt thread in the bottom with a quilt sandwich.

      The same stitch. I don’t know the number but the picture of the stitch is exactly the same. You just need to select that stitch and tighten your upper tension to 7.

    I admit that I don't understand why the particular bobbin and top threads were used. The different colors and weight. I dont get it. LOL Can someone respond? Thanks

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  2 роки тому

      The top thread has higher tension to pull the bottom thread up. The top thread is thin and somewhat matches the background to simulate a
      Mock hand stitch.

    • @janetinca4702
      @janetinca4702 2 роки тому

      @@BERNINAofNaperville OK, so the top thread has higher tension. At the risk of being told to re-watch the video to find my answer: Does the weight of the top thread automatically create higher tension, or did you change the tension? Thank you so very very much for replying!!!

    • @BERNINAofNaperville
      @BERNINAofNaperville  2 роки тому +1

      @@janetinca4702 you have to adjust the tension to a higher number as stated in the video or the mastering your bernina book provided by your local dealer. The tension adjustment depends so you should test to find the correct adjustment.

      First of all are you using the BERNINA made walking foot? Are you using the seam guide bracket? You can’t just put the guides through the holes in the back. Use the metal piece with the screw that came in your walking foot box.
