@@MartinMillerGuitar Amaizing. you guys are insanely good musicians, really inspiring for amateur musician like myself. Looking forward to the next video.
It’s so nice to see my money market guy has a musical life outside of the office. If he could only manipulate my money like he does time signature and polyrhythms!!
Is it just me, or does Paul seem to be experimenting with a Zappa-esque style of phrasing? His playing in this session also reminds me just a bit of Carl Verheyen.
Paul is a guitar player that understands the fine nuances between a serious guitar performance and comedy. His guitar phrasing in this piece exudes comedy. Paul never takes his playing too seriously. It's fun. That really comes across.
The way Paul solo's, making it sound like voice, with those bends and pre-bends takes a lifetime of playing to achieve. He was always an insane shredder, but the way he is playing now is so satisfying. I know he says he has been working on imitating a voice and he's doing pretty damn good at it now.
PG played an unique scale, unique tempo, unique phrasing ,uniques soul.. His now style of playing is more difficult to learn than only playing a million notes with a speed..#imho
Of course. Gilbert used to be a shredder many years ago. He has evolved into very unique kind of pastish like player. He plays with the whole body. He feels it all. That is where this organic phrasing comes from IMO. He seems to be a great example of what the great John Scofield once said. First you have to learn all the scales chords and technics. Than you have to forget them all and start playing music. 😊
That bassist is something else! Plays the supporting role perfectly and can spice it up, or completely let loose with original and interesting solos. Amazing!
I'm more interested in Sir Paul Gilbert's original song Havin'It than the Martin Miller Session band and the melody and management style of the band. Thanks for all of M'miller session band 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
Knowing how he came through from Mike Varney, Racer X and Mr Big. He's so versatile, could never see Malmsteen being so diverse, as good as he is. PG is so good
The keyboard player 🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥👍 🤘🤘🤘 just phenomenal, I mean the point from where he took hold of the song and till the end of his part was just amazing. Hats off!!! Brilliant performance by each and every player
The musicianship is incredible and each in his own is fantastic. To play with Paul Gilbert is out of this 🌎 world, he's hands down one of the finest guitar players ever. Kudos to the drummer, he's always on point and incredibly talented. Keep getting it boys!! Huge fan
I've been a fan of Gilbert since late 80's and was into the whole shred thing. The way he evolved through the years and how he plays now, playing vocal lines and making them sound authentic is why he's still one of my favorites of all time. He always sounds fresh and isn't stuck on one thing like a Malmsteen. The solo he drops on this song is exactly what I'm talking about. It is absolutely perfect and shows just how well he has changed over time. This is the perfect song to jam on and drop solos too.
72 thumbs down?? Seriously? These guys are absolute virtuosos. Sigh! I'll never understand why Miley Syphilus fans would even come and watch this. They simply would be wondering what the hell? Where are the 50 dancers and what the heck are those instruments?
I love Paul so much. He’s been an inspiration from the early stage of my guitar journey 30 years ago until now, and he still amaze me. He kept on progressing all the time. The guy his a true legend. Thank you for sharing free such a quality of content!!!
Who the f*ck puts a thumb down on such an awesome musical performance? Thanks for posting this and all the other great videos you do. Keep them coming!
Finally everyone is playing... PG is like ever, badass. You guys have tastiest bass here... Great sound mixing. Martin well played but u seemed under pressure, wud ve been more alive solo from your side. Great music as always 🍻
Wow, Mr. PG, I’m speechless. Martin you picking style reminds me of Andy James picking style where it is Crystal clear n clean. Your playing sounds computer generated. I love that the drummer plays reverse position. I play a little drums also and I am left handed but I play open style. AMAZING 🤘🏾😉🤘🏾
Ohhhh man! So many great musicians at stage can only bring this kind of result. You are all amazing...Paul his a legend and Martin for me it's just one of those guitar players that can do it all.

the sound engineer is the hidden hero here
Hiding in playing sight ;) Cheers, man!

Martin is the sound engineer
@@aayushupadhaya3717 Must be preset levels ak sound check
That drummer is always on fire!
super mario!
Benni Jud and Felix Lehrmann are the "secret sauce"!
True that. And if you saw him in the street you wouldnt place bets on him being a drummer or a muso for that manner
It’s so nice to see my money market guy has a musical life outside of the office. If he could only manipulate my money like he does time signature and polyrhythms!!
that drummer looks like a man who don't do nothing ...likes, "Hi man... I'm just walking here and I'm doing amazing things !!
Paul Gilbert's phrasing is insane! What a monster!
always has been :)
Is it just me, or does Paul seem to be experimenting with a Zappa-esque style of phrasing? His playing in this session also reminds me just a bit of Carl Verheyen.
Paul looks like he has more fun than anybody alive
The best ever Solo from Paul Gilbert I have ever heard. What a phrasing OMG. Hats off.
i don't know what is food is, but i want the same ! they're all incredible !
Paul is a guitar player that understands the fine nuances between a serious guitar performance and comedy. His guitar phrasing in this piece exudes comedy. Paul never takes his playing too seriously. It's fun. That really comes across.
Going after Gilbert must have been intimidating. I cant lie. His solo was from another planet.

Wow I didn't know they are German where I live...impressive.

@@fqjcior scales are pointless.. they are just a limitation on what you play.
Das war ja zum ausflippen geil ,also der ansteckende person ist wohl Paul Gilbert ....Tausend dank fürs mittelein..🙏🙏🙏
There’s a rhythmic tension between Paul’s solos and the rhythm section that is delicious.
That bassist is something else! Plays the supporting role perfectly and can spice it up, or completely let loose with original and interesting solos. Amazing!
Boy that Gilbert kid sure rocks.
Paul Gilbert defies, yet at the same time IS, perfection.
I'm more interested in Sir Paul Gilbert's original song Havin'It than the Martin Miller Session band and the melody and management style of the band. Thanks for all of M'miller session band 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻
All I can say is......WOW !
Gotta love Paul's "hold glasses when not playing" approach!
Paul gilbert not only is a guitar playing God but he also has mastered the art of live performance.
1:54-2:00 friggin awesome !!!
Martin's signature guitar is beautifully crafted! I love the color and the design as well as his exceptional guitar playing!
Knowing how he came through from Mike Varney, Racer X and Mr Big. He's so versatile, could never see Malmsteen being so diverse, as good as he is.
PG is so good
And he honestly seems to be a nice fellow.
Yea good idea , malmsteen should be there too and ozzy

Paul's expressions of appreciation during the other's solos is so heartwarming

Pure ... just pure.
Che dire ragazzi, questi si che sono strumentisti. Tutti grandi, ma il bassista Benni "troppo forte". Grandi, grandi e ancora grandi
bass solo for the win
72 thumbs down?? Seriously? These guys are absolute virtuosos. Sigh! I'll never understand why Miley Syphilus fans would even come and watch this. They simply would be wondering what the hell? Where are the 50 dancers and what the heck are those instruments?
MORE,MORE!!! The new wrecking crew or swampers.Did I say more yet?Keep it up!!!
Havn ' it...and just killn' it! All of ya. Paul just over the top...he just keeps developing...such taste!
Benni and Felix...the power house holding it all down. Well done Benni on keeping up with all that talent, brilliant bass player.
So juicy from beginning to end. I can only hope to one day be 1/10th the musician of any one of those people.
Finally some awesome live music played by exceptional musicians having a blast. It's become harder to find moments like these.

After a 13 hour day at work, chilling out then watched this. A perfect musical nightcap. Sweet dreams.
2:23 you know a song is not a piece of cake when a drummer this good (as you can see in previous videos) looks to be counting hard on his head
Who the f*ck puts a thumb down on such an awesome musical performance? Thanks for posting this and all the other great videos you do. Keep them coming!
U don't count on YT without a single thumb down
I was like, "No drum solo?" Then I realized the whole thing was a drum solo.
I saw him play this live in London genuinely one of the most amazing guitar experiences ever
thank you to let us having this.

So happy to see Benni kick some ass! Dude is a bad ass! Love Martin, Paul and the rest as well!
This totally reminds me of the old "Studio Jams" show. With guys like Oteil and Kofi Burbridge, Derek Trucks, Vernon Reid, etc. Great stuff.
Reminded me of the first time I heard Blow By Blow, with Jeff Beck. All of these players, paint their music...LIVE!
Incredible, what a pleasure
“Hey guys what time signature you want for this track?”
Band “yes”
