Martin!...himmelpotz, hiermit habt Ihr waarhaftig meine Woche verbessert ;) Der Meister Andy zusammen mit dieser band mussen touren, meiner meinung nach. Greetings and lovemojo from Capetown, South Africa
Legendary! Really enjoying these sessions!
Martin, thank you for making this happen. Your jam band has been an inspiration, and now you brought in my favorite artist ever! This is the highlight of my month!
Sehr sehr geil
I know it's impossible to say somebody has the best guitar tone....but Andy has the best guitar tone.
Agreed! Really enjoyed this!
And the best phrasing in the world.
Andy has changed up his equipment over his career but has always had the same basic tone. He knows what he likes, and what sounds great!
And he's kinda Infinite!
Impossible is Nothing ;)
next level tone man...
hi
oh no rudy
hi bro
035
😲slosh?
I feel exactly the same what bassman feels when he smile hearing those licks on the intro, amazing...
The drummer is absolutely killing it. The bass player KNOWS something great is occuring. Martin and Andy play some of the tastiest guitar I've seen in 20yrs!
Andy Timmons doesn't play guitar,he has mastered the art of making that thing literally sing.
Saw andy multiple times with Simon Phillips. Andy is one of the greats
greekfreak1980 and talk and moan and scream and sing sing
greekfreak1980 well said brother
Precisely!
Better words had never been spoken.
The last solo Andy plays is BY FAR the best recorded version of the outro. This felt more like a spiritual experience then a song.
I was wondering where this version ranks amongst all available versions. I think Martin’s solo really upped Andy’s build up to the outro. Is this the ultimate electric guitar anthem? Hendrix and Stevie Ray included??
Great, great sound and players!!!
Martin is one of the greatest example of the modern guitar player: well versed in many styles and players, can probably play anything; great tone, great time, great chops.... love his work on this... it's like he's playing a tribute to Andy in front him..... and Andy Timmons on the other hand just transcends all of it; every aspect of his playing [even if it is reminiscent of his own heroes] is truly his own.... he's become one of my favourite players of all time. Great work guys!
Okay, the truth is I don't know music, I don't know Martin Miller's thinking or his expectations, I look at him happy with what he does, it's a hallmark of his band, they enjoy what they do, they support and admire each other, I don't know if The band has a name... I wish and I hope that it will take off with some of its own production that will take it to the top and immortalize it.
If I could watch one video on youtube for the rest if my life, it would most certainly be this one
Everyone's talking about Andy's great tone (which is epic, yes!) but boy that snare is out of this world 🤤
The drums in general were out of this world!!
exactly my thoughts, that kick and snare sounds so good!
The gold disk thingy?
Dude for real I was gushing over that snare from downbeat.... jeez.
The tone is orgasmic.....
It's crazy how beautiful is this song.
Martin your solo was perfect, you really know when to pull the trigger and go in shredland, and when to reference the song with beautiful melodies! That's so inspiring
I agree, Martin you solo was subtle and clever. Elegant gipsy :-)
2:59 off topic
@@Fonzy3333 i thought it was frozen haha. Crazy solo. I like it
The bass player is that musician we all want and need in our band. Just that guy who plays his part, uses his ears and just dives deep into every tune. 👍
... and can sing his ass off, too 🤣
I always go back to this version. Martin + Andy is just so good to listen to. I hope that the younger ones like myself get the spirit of playing that these guys exude. It's like discovering a part of yourself you never knew was there
Beautiful words, Oliver!
I’d hate to speak for these amazing artists, but I think I can safely say that’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard to describe someone’s work.
Andy 's sound is simply out of this world!
How can he do that from an Ibanez...
@@jimkiousis Because its from the AZ series, which are basically cheaper Suhrs
He’s fuckin sick
@@jimkiousishe plays DiMarzio Cruisers, which are my favorite pickups. That's the part of his sound. They sound amazing.
Technical mastery married with soulful playing. Andy is the epitome of a guitarist.
The bass player's expression during the intro really made my day. So cool to see a musician enjoying other musician's playing.
Loved how the drummer came RIGHT back to the beat after he dropped his stick at 4:36! Totally amazing!!! ❤🙏🏼
I've not heard this song in last year or so. That being said, as soon as I saw this video, I immediately clicked on it, closed my eyes and remembered certain times in my life when I used to listen to this track very frequently.
Thanks for the memories Andy and thanks Martin and all other musicians for making this video possible.
Nice job on drums !
Je pense comme toi.... quel groupe de fou ..... J'adore 👌👍👍
Killin' it on the drums!
Overplaying the drums you mean...
Felix is dope!
1:02 :O
I really love that Benni's smile while he is playing his bass guitar. It truly makes me feel he really loves his and his band's music.
... and we love him for it!
I literally cried in happiness from this performance
I have heard this for 68 times now..... still maks me wanna play , cry , fly, float ..... YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING !!
Man Andy’s dynamics are always killer
Drummer lost a stick but didn't miss a snare...total pro. Plus he always looks like he's having the best time. All of the musicians are superlative. I'm stoked that YT's algorithm sent me to Martin Miller's channel!
Não consigo entender uma pessoa que dá deslike em um vídeo desse nível de qualidade musical e de áudio. Vídeo top
We are so lucky to have you guys performing on youtube. The quality of this performance has blown my mind.
WHY ISNT THIS ON SPOTIFY?! Missing this jam in my playlists.
Felix is one hell of drummer.. The feel, the dynamics everything is damn too good.. love ur work..❤️🙌
Two guitarist going about things a little differently but in the end both killing it. Wow, Loved it Miller, Timmons.
What a beautiful melody. How many different sounds can Andy get out of that guitar? His tone is OMG.
Incredible! Everybody was ACE! The smile on everyone’s faces when Andy played that riff says it all.
i love how everyone in this video is just chillin and enjoying the vibe - thats exactly how this song is supposed to be enjoyed while playing... i just love watching and listening to this
I still remember the goosebumps I had the day this jam came out. I can tell you that it still does the trick for me.
Flawless performance.. LEGEND Level.
3:51 might be the best bend in the history of electric guitar. Holy moly.
Insane
gotta give that chilling drummer some props lol
How can you not fall in love with the song and that cover?!😱😍
Came here as a guitar player, but MAN what a drummer!!! He just that feeling. Incredible tone from the kit. My favorite version of this song!
His first five or six strokes lets you know: this guy has FEEL!
Spectacular solos by both guitarists! Incredible performance of this song, and Martin's face when he finishes his solo at around 3:03, nails it perfectly, epic stuff! Then of course Andy's solo is just out of this world... I must have watched this at least a hundred times so far, there was just something magical in the air there that day, beautiful job guys!
Butter wishes it was as smooth as AT, seriously. I've watched this soooo many times its ridiculous.
These are modern days rock heroes, what a breath of fresh air. Keep it up lads 🍺
Andy took it to the stratosphere in the last solo. Respect
What i just witnessed right now....is just magic....just phenomenal
Nice to see the drummer getting a lot of love in the comments to these videos. The guy is one of the most prolific German session drummers.
I just love it that Andy takes a breather before taking that solo.
this is the best version of this song i've ever heard
the organ and bass player add sooo much. Andy also has the greatest tones and phrasing of all time so that helps a lot
Best Pic bro
excellent, crisp camerawork
For me, Andy Timmons can phrase better than anyone. And it’s not just the note choice. It’s articulation, dynamics, grit, tension building, volume choices from one note to the next....just everything. Martin, I would love to see you play with Marco Sfogli. Aside from Timmons, his phrasing is just...beautiful. Very much inspired by Andy. I think the two of you would compliment each other quite well. I love both of you.
Andy.. Long long live!!
I want you hear your guitarplay for a long time
There are tons of things I could say about this track...but I will stay humble and only state that, this, is giving me hope that new good music still exists...
Truly magic. You guys are such amazing musicians. It's always a delight to watch you share the studio with such wonderclass players like Andy Timmons, Martin. Kudos to you man, you are truly one of the best musicians of our times Martin.
I love it!!! Martin tapped into some Petrucci speed! Andy is Andy, sublime. And the crew is GOLD!! Great job!!!!
Andy is the best guitarist on the planet at phrasing and touch to make the guitar sound like singing. He actually sings through his fingers.
This is a true outward expression of the inward love of playing music just for the love of playing. The look on the bassist's face at 3:18 says it all. If he's having that much fun holding it down for other people to shred over there's definitely magic happening in the room! Inspiring video guys. You brought back some good musical memories for me. Thanks. *Felix - good job picking up that stick without missing a beat 4:40 (true musician)!!
I love that bassman ... He really did enjoyed what he does!
Presoon James Hertiz plus what everybody else is doin ;-)
Caramba é nítido no rosto do Bass, batera e da parte técnica a emoção dos caras em participar de Um momento assim com um dos gênios da guitarra de todos os tempos tocando um dos mais lindos solos da história
I watch this about once a month, not just for the music (it's fantastic) but the jam and production values. Excellent job! And OMG that tone!
5:27 That's a guitar singing... screaming of love!!!!
This drummer and bassplayer are pure GOLD!!!
Bart J i think so too 😝😝
@@benjudbass Lol I see what you did there :-)
Andy is in a whole different level, pure artistic expression. Fantastic band as well.
Andy Timmons - what can I say? This track has so much emotion from all the players shared from Andy's core. This is music at its finest. I had the pleasure of attending a class by Andy at a Berklee Summer Session back in the 80's. This shows how he has become one of the finest musicians of our time. Thank you Martin for including these great players in your sessions. We all really appreciate what you are contributing.
My two guitar icons in one room. Andy and Martin’s tones bouncing back and forward just takes you for a ride through the cosmos. The whole band has always been tight. It’s moments like this that got me to pick my guitar back up again. Thank you!
Thanks a lot!!!
That drummer is having the time of his life! Such an enjoyable song!
Timing is tight
You guys are always so good. I don't think you've ever made a bad video. And then when you bring some of the best in the world into your house and let the spirits free. Such a magic thing, this music stuff. Precious indeed. Thanks so much, all of you.
One of the most beaultiful things I've seen on UA-cam.
Last few months has been really shitty for me, was smiling the whole time! Thank you.
Looks like Benni really likes how Andy plays the intro riff ;) Those tapped harmonics are insanely beautiful! Thanks for this session, Great!
Juha Aitakangas daaaaaaamn right :-)
@@benjudbass Yeah, what a great moment. Priceless!
00:29 The way his phrasing falls into the beat & measure is just out of this world!
Just flat-out great playing from everyone in the room. Everyone.
The perfect instrumental song. Period.
Those bends in the last solo are just masterful. Beautifully connected with the drum (e.g., at 5:12) and extremely musical (e.g., from 5:23 to 5:34). Outstanding!
Andy Timmons is one of the most underrated guitar heroes of all time. He may not be the fast shredder but he is one of the most melodic. Impeccable phrasing and feel!
rustydomino Thing is when Andy wants to step on the gas he can be the fastest stressed!
Andy's guitar is singing - so unparalleled.
First time heard this song 8 years ago when I was a senior high school student and its still my favorite guitar song .
For sure Andy is one my favourite guitar players of all times, and this song is one of his best songs. But played with Martin and his band is something else.
Thank you all.
Andy es de los mejores guitarristas del mundo. Aún no entiendo por qué no es tan conocido como debería. Es genial su tono, su creatividad y expresión!
I'm pretty sure everyone in the studio got goosebumps at this intro, just like me watching it.
Holy crap! One of my all time favorites, Andy Timmons, with another all time favorite, Martin Miller and his phenomenal band!!!
The smile on the bass player says it all.
I can't believe this is the first time I've ever heard this song. Why has no one ever played it for me. Everyone I know has let me down, you know who you are. 😔
La belleza del lenguaje de la música radica en que a pesar de no tener significante puede ser tan significativo. Seguramente al escuchar esta versión de Timmons y Miller todos sentimos mas o menos lo mismo. Esa es la magia .
3:51 Still searching my soul after that master bendings...
This piece of art is phenomenal! Thank you Andy, thank you Martin ! 🎉
Cara... essa música e uma viagem e tem uma qualidade excepcional... mandaram bem ...🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Andy with you Guys is going to another level,Brilliant performance!
Martin Miller solo @ 2:06
Andy Timmons solo @ 3:33
2 totally distinguishing separate tonal approaches featuring monster chops.
Like a ice cream sundae. Cool and hot together in a great complimentary way!
I watched this video many times, everyone talk about the tone, but for me is something about the emotion that you can her in Andy sound. I know that this is his song and it make all the difference but it is amazing
The lick Martin plays at 3:03 and his face say it all 🔥🤘🏼 love this version of this tune
Felix's drums sound amazing!!! Great job guys!!!
Martin's slow ascending over Bm is killer!!
Love the song, and love the performance. This is one of the best performance I've ever heard for quite some time!! Amazing!
Already lost count on how many times I've watched this video. Lost count on tears too...
Thank you for this amazing song
Watched this the first time it was released and still sounding great. A legend wielding his guitar along with the next generation. Great stuff!
Wow Martin, your choice of notes in the solo is superb! And that toneeee! :)
Ok so today i discovered Martin Miller playing superstitious with Paul Gilbert and immediately subscribed...now on 2nd listen he did an awesome jam with another one of my guitar heroes Andy Timmons...I feel like I just discovered ice cream for the first time. Where the heck has the Martin Miller band been for my first 45 years of life???? Great stuff I’m a fan now and hooked! Keep me coming!
In my opinion this is the most accomplished and perfectly executed instrumental piece all over the UA-cam. Perfect, ingenious, captivating, magisterial!!!. Both Timmons and Miller give an inspired performance with perfect sound and extreme technique. And, certainly the rhythm-section is equally sublime!!
Guitar masterpiece. Watching for 100th time
You are the best cover band that i know! Congrats! Best audio quality, best musicians. BEST REGARDS for all
Thank you for this song Andy.
That drummer just nailing triplet after triplet and making it look easy.
“Hey Andy go do your thing. I got you.”
What a joy to hear this room full of MONSTER musicians support Andy so beautifully - no delicate egos here!
This might just be my favorite music video on UA-cam! It inspires a combo of bliss and deep appreciation.
