for people looking to do this for the current patch, you should do the quest “bested by bazelgeuse” its 2 guaranteed bazel, the possible drops from bazel are cortex shards and claws, at 80, 90, and 100 points a piece, 6-12 drops every time means roughly 600-1200 points a run + whatever other monster spawns bonus points because theres a puppet spider near one of the base camps so you can do this with any weapon and not just big damage mounting weapons
A tip for wyvern riding is instead of attacking the monster, just evade dodge into them when they attack, that way your mounted punisher won't build up. And once u do this 6 times, launch the monster into the other, and repeat. This is the most effective for me.
Evading into them won't deal damage (or drop a shiny) for ranged attacks (like Rajang's beam), but it will stop you from getting your timer knocked down.
Why not just attack the monster enough times to have it drop 3 shinies then launch the monster into the other one and repeat? Mix in an evade right after an attack hits for instant recovery too. It's what I've been doing to get at least 6 shinies from 2 monsters, without a gold wire bug.
@@artemkoropotkin3047 Because the gold Wirebug gives you more drops /per monster/. And more drops per monster means more materials, which means a more efficient farm, which means more melds faster. Getting 6 drops on 1 monster (and 12 on 2) is better than 6 on 2 monsters.
The talisman melding is always the boring mechanics in mh , i don't know why they kept it for so long . giving talisman at the reward screen is much better. And randomly generating quest with specific talisman with few possible skills in reward screen ,which we can see when selecting quest would have been much fun to play
For meld materials, I just farm Giasmagorm and thats way more fun and actually quite worth the time since you can kill it in 10-15 mins with a decent team and all his materials give really high points. You can get more than 2 melds per Giasmagorm killed.
One benefit of farming MR Narwa is you can use the Golden Wirebug in the fight to get extra mats. It might not be better than Gais, but it's something to consider.
Right now I'm still using Evade Window 2 Windproof 1 single 2-slot from high rank, realised I hadn't even seen a g rank talisman and forgot how I got the high rank ones which is why I'm here.
oh mine is better 3 atk 2 wirebug whispere and 1 one slot i got it in high rank the other one is weakness level 2 and one level 2 slot one level 1 slot 😀
@@Shryquill It's a nice quality of life improvement. I mean 30% faster build up isn't nothing. I'm not going for the stun all the time but when I do it's much more reliable. And honestly stun duration diminishing return they've introduced in Sunbreak isn't that bad. Anyway my second decent talisman is +3 crit eye + lv2 deco slot and I definitely prefer slugger one mostly for the Spirit birds call which btw is an amazing skill for someone who don't bother with spirit birds gathering more than what you pick along the way.
@@AkantorCZ its not good cuz it is unlikely to trigger another stun before the monster dies and even less likely to trigger two more stuns before the monster dies. They come earlier, yes, but since the threshold dramatically increases each time you stun a monster, it's not as good as some might think.
@@joha4574 You know the lateral sword combo deals more damage than the shield bash combo especially if the weapon deals extra elemental / status damage. So longer you shield bashing to trigger the stun the longer you deal less damage. At the same time stun is a great opening to dishout some damage so you kind of need to find the balance. I usually go for 2-3 stuns during a hunt then I stop trying. Sometimes I get additional 1-2 stuns thanks to the thunder blight. There are also monsters that are harder to stun due to i.e. having their head too high to reach (Goss Harag) or protected (Rakna). So having more potent stun damage can make a difference! Also there aren't many B tier skills better than Slugger (at least for sns) and you can't get 2x lv2 deco slots on your talisman with A+ tier skills which makes it less flexible. I know there are better talismans but this is what I've got so far and I'm pretty happy about it.
i have a better one, go in turn off auto save make 10 talismans use accelerants on all 10 (so you dont have to do 10 arenas). exit to title without saving boot back up, make 1 single talisman do a arena collect talisman exit to main screen with a save this time and start over at 10 accelerants.
Somehow I don't enjoy abusing these kind of exploits anymore. I don't mind having madiocre talisman but I prefer to spend my time playing the game. Also having bad luck sometimes can be fun. :)
@@AkantorCZ its not that bad, Other monster hunter exploits are way worse. some people just go in and change files to get a talisman. back in 4u they had modded games that could 1 shot fatalis. there has always been a way to deal with monster hunters rough RNG. what they need is a giant resource dump that you can do instead of loot boxes to force a talisman.

Best talisman I've ever gotten was Partbreaker 3, hunger resistance 2, with 2 2 slots and as an IG main I nearly cried tears of joy at that. Everything else though makes me cry i resources spent on junk.
my case was recovery up x 3 + free meal x 2 and a 3 slot and one slot free, that was high rank rarity 7. 3 x recovery up is 6 slots, free meal x 2 = 2 slots and a 3 + 1 slot = 12 slots talisman is amazing and with the skills I really needed. I have been doing this master rank and so far nothing good.
It's fun seeing other perspectives. Since I play Bow but not IG, I wouldn't give two looks to that one. I honestly worry I might've thrown away some amazing ones because I don't fully understand the game. As for my best, I currently only have R7 melding (got the game like a month ago), but the best I've gotten so far is a wirebug 3, Quick Sheathe 3, 2 slot, 1 slot. Almost passed on it because I was only thinking of Shoryu spam and the QS felt like a wasted slot for SnS, but then I remembered I also play LS and was like "hold up, this is actually kinda godly"
You can get free melding puddings and MP accelerants by doing the new backroom deals from the argosy. Also Amiibos (mh rise/sunbreak/stories work) give you a lottery that can reward them :)
I'm still using the attack boost 3 + a 2 slot with another attack boost that i had in Rise. Not a single talisman yet felt better than a "attack boost lv4" talisman

I got a Talisman yesterday after an afflicted hunt that has 1 level 3 slot and 1 level 1 slot with the skills critical eye level 3 and partbreaker level 2.
Darn! Lucky you. All I get is garbage in the new melds. Got a Foray 2 though, + 1 1 slots. Old ones I still use are Consti 2, + 3 2 slots, and another with a Consti/Evade Ext + 2 slot.
I feel like Oboro would be like “I would love to give you a good Talisman! But please, spend some zenny here first.” And the amount of zenny you have to spend to get better luck is actually insane.
It takes a larger amount of time but if you have a build you're wanting to build and don't have the materials for armor/weapons but do that (I was hunting for a thunder serpent orb(for a charge blade) and it took a very little amount of time)
Wire bug whisper is mandatory for endgame hunts and wide range is good for you and others who took big damage and slots are good as well speed eating helps so your not wasting time healing and free meal if you want to be full on support with little damage I think tigrex has free meal but it is your choice what you want to build around this charm.
I'm going to be honest, I really want the charm system back that World came with. It was simple and easy to grind out what you needed. Now before anyone says anything no im not new to the games. I just got tired of gridning out hyper rng chances for a charm I may never get and I have spent thousands of hours in old games gathering them. But I guess it's not as bad as having to mine them out like I did in the older titles.
both are different flavors of bad tbh I remember I farmed for 14 hours for a guard up deco the weekend before safi dropped on pc, just doing the name's lavasioth over and over again similarly, I've done so many tempered tier 3 quests and been quite lucky to get 2 atk+, 2 agi+ and 1 crit eye+ before , and while I didn't farm for atk decos in base world I know a lot of people who did 20+ hours without any result on one hand decos were more flexible, you would miss out on maybe a point or two of a skill, while not having a good amulet can literally make some builds impossible to achieve (not damage builds but builds that revolve around some new skills), on the other hand world's meta was way more dps centric than rise, so those 1-2 points you were missing were a big deal
Best one I have is quick sheath 2 with a level 3 and a level 2 slot. In the slots I have handicraft and and my 3rd quick sheath (I think handicraft is level 3 if not then two level 2 slots.
I hope we get a Greatest Jagras style quest, where a monster just puked up decos. Of course, now it’d melding pudding or something but still… (an old Tetranadon: “oh no, I shouldn’t have eaten that crate of pudding I found. I don’t think it was vanilla at all…🐢🤢🤮)
I’m actually getting to the point where I need to farm Kamura Points to be able to do the melds at all. Not sure what’s the best way to Point farm. Never ran into this issue before since I was hardly using them before in base Rise.
Put a farming set on look for an upsurge of local items in volcano and get farming. Plenty of guides on efficient routes out there. Should work the same as in the base game
Check the optional subquests every quest, and sign up for the ones you do the most. I personally use Hunting, Broken Parts, and Stun when they’re available. Spribird’s Call (from a Talisman or the three armor pieces that have it; there’s only one level) also helps, as it gives you a free 5pts every minute thanks to the summoning of Spribirds. If you’re really struggling, check the expedition for [Account Item] upsurges, use Sniff ‘em Out to search for said account items (or all of them if you don’t know which one; narrow it down later), and nab all of them until the Locale Info updates.
Wear full Leather X, go Volcano during local items surge, sniff 'em out account items, gather blue dots. Some nodes during an upsurge can get you 3000+ points in one go. I did it a couple of loops and got 100,000 points in a pretty short time.
Best I’ve seem drop is crit eye 2, redirection 1, 2 slot. It’s very good if I want to run redirection, but otherwise worse than some stuff from high rank, the g rank melds have high potential but are very very cruel.
All this farming for a chance to get some god tier talismans ugh it makes me want to hurl. I'll just play the game focusing on my skills and weapon proficiency and just meld and create decorations with whatever I got. I did that with Iceborne and had absolutely no problems and had a blast.
I've been busting my ass trying to get a rapid morph 2 with a 2 slot (or better) and this fucking guy goes and gets a rapid morph 3 with a 2 slot right in front of me with no regard for my feelings.
And sadly the rarity 7 part breaker at max was the only one I got during base game still in use cause rng screwed has been me since the dawn of the time.
The game hates me when it comes to Attack and Crit (Any type) charms... been playing for about 2000 hours and I have maybe 5 with CE, 2 with WE, and only 1 with CB... and AB? 7, but not one has any slots nor goes beyond 2 points. I get godly of everything else, but never this group.
good talismans are so hard to get best one's i have gotten in 370hours of playtime in rise/sunbreak are attack boost 2 with a lv3 slot bubbly dance 3 with 1 resucitate and crit eye 3 with a lv 2 slot thats about it lmao all the other ones are either bad or very niche

After socketing all the jewels I have: Attack 7 Crit Eye 7 WEX 3 Crit Boost 3 Focus 3 Stun Res 3 Flinch Free 1 Wirebug 1 Thunder Attack 2 (does nothing) Latent Power 1 Might 1 I'm not sure what else, I'm away from my PC right now. For the Rampage socket I just swap between anti-dragon and anti-fanged beast. The build also has three 1 slots u can use to swap between: Fire res 3 Poison Res 3 Paralysis Res 3 Sleep Res 3 etc, based on what you're fighting.
Boost harvest foods and even a karma bonus point food. Throw on botany and geology skills. Hit sniff out the boosted item and just make circles u can get 12k in like 20ish mins.... maybe faster if b line better. Expedition btw
I prefer doing that Village quest that has you collect a certain item. I think it's called Roly-Poly Lanterns. It's in 1*, and you can clear it in about 30 seconds on average, with RNG affecting your item pickups. Be sure to have the armor skill that gives you an extra item per gather (so just wear Leather X).
Back into surrendering our mortal coils to our Furious Master yay! The devs have to be making this on purpose. It is always Jang when it comes to farming 😅

Having done all of Supy's requests, I realized he hangs out with Obero and reads with him, which is the cutest thing.
If you do the garangolm arena quest and choose hbg, he’ll usually one shot you, little bit faster than rajang

If you use apples with the bargaining you can set it up and refuel the trade with apples alone as long as you don't let it expire completely.
I got a redirection 2, Spirit birds call, and 2-2 slots and an attack 3 with a 3 slot. Some of these talismans are wild
the only thing good I got was quick draw 2 punishing draw 2 with a lv4 slot, my LS now became a hammer.

also, the unbridled fury hunt is also one of the best hunts for farming your MR
You can do the Rajang Arena Quest with no Armor and then get One Shot by it and complete a meld, takes about 5 min for 10 melds completed. 🙏

I got a Talisman yesterday after an afflicted hunt that has 1 level 3 slot and 1 level 1 slot with the skills critical eye level 3 and partbreaker level 2.

Old ones I still use are Consti 2, + 3 2 slots, and another with a Consti/Evade Ext + 2 slot.
I feel like Oboro would be like “I would love to give you a good Talisman! But please, spend some zenny here first.”
And the amount of zenny you have to spend to get better luck is actually insane.

It takes a larger amount of time but if you have a build you're wanting to build and don't have the materials for armor/weapons but do that
(I was hunting for a thunder serpent orb(for a charge blade) and it took a very little amount of time)

I got one with wirebug whisperer 3 wide range 3 and 2 two slots and 1 one slot it that good I can’t tell or should I go back to try hard farming
Don't stop farming since that may be a good talisman but there's always better
Wire bug whisper is mandatory for endgame hunts and wide range is good for you and others who took big damage and slots are good as well speed eating helps so your not wasting time healing and free meal if you want to be full on support with little damage I think tigrex has free meal but it is your choice what you want to build around this charm.
I'm going to be honest, I really want the charm system back that World came with. It was simple and easy to grind out what you needed. Now before anyone says anything no im not new to the games. I just got tired of gridning out hyper rng chances for a charm I may never get and I have spent thousands of hours in old games gathering them. But I guess it's not as bad as having to mine them out like I did in the older titles.
I kinda liked the mixed 4 slot decos as farmables in Iceborne but grinding RNG for basic decos was definitely worse than melding for talismans
both are different flavors of bad tbh
I remember I farmed for 14 hours for a guard up deco the weekend before safi dropped on pc, just doing the name's lavasioth over and over again
similarly, I've done so many tempered tier 3 quests and been quite lucky to get 2 atk+, 2 agi+ and 1 crit eye+ before , and while I didn't farm for atk decos in base world I know a lot of people who did 20+ hours without any result
on one hand decos were more flexible, you would miss out on maybe a point or two of a skill, while not having a good amulet can literally make some builds impossible to achieve (not damage builds but builds that revolve around some new skills), on the other hand world's meta was way more dps centric than rise, so those 1-2 points you were missing were a big deal
I found a resentment/agitator talisman with a 3 slot its ridiculously good compared to what most talismans had xD no idea how i did that

Best one I have is quick sheath 2 with a level 3 and a level 2 slot. In the slots I have handicraft and and my 3rd quick sheath (I think handicraft is level 3 if not then two level 2 slots.

You can also get accelerant from lottery but it's probably rare.

I'm an IG main and 2-2 slots with full power prolonger and 2 crit boost is my dream, not sure if it's possible though.
New support kinsect is basically power prolonger so you should go for redirection to keep these wirebugs up

I’m actually getting to the point where I need to farm Kamura Points to be able to do the melds at all. Not sure what’s the best way to Point farm. Never ran into this issue before since I was hardly using them before in base Rise.
Put a farming set on look for an upsurge of local items in volcano and get farming. Plenty of guides on efficient routes out there. Should work the same as in the base game

Check the optional subquests every quest, and sign up for the ones you do the most. I personally use Hunting, Broken Parts, and Stun when they’re available. Spribird’s Call (from a Talisman or the three armor pieces that have it; there’s only one level) also helps, as it gives you a free 5pts every minute thanks to the summoning of Spribirds.
If you’re really struggling, check the expedition for [Account Item] upsurges, use Sniff ‘em Out to search for said account items (or all of them if you don’t know which one; narrow it down later), and nab all of them until the Locale Info updates.

Wear full Leather X, go Volcano during local items surge, sniff 'em out account items, gather blue dots.
Some nodes during an upsurge can get you 3000+ points in one go. I did it a couple of loops and got 100,000 points in a pretty short time.
I like the one I got early in low rank it has two level 2 slot and one level 1 plus 2 quick sheath and 2 recoil down
so what youre saying is the down side of the 4 monster quest is actually having fun.

Best I’ve seem drop is crit eye 2, redirection 1, 2 slot. It’s very good if I want to run redirection, but otherwise worse than some stuff from high rank, the g rank melds have high potential but are very very cruel.

would it be easier just do a arena quest what Chichae give you with no amour and have a kunai to throw at monster that they get acro faster.
Best one i got is 2levels of partbreaker + fortify + 2 level2 deco slot.
All this farming for a chance to get some god tier talismans ugh it makes me want to hurl. I'll just play the game focusing on my skills and weapon proficiency and just meld and create decorations with whatever I got. I did that with Iceborne and had absolutely no problems and had a blast.

I've been busting my ass trying to get a rapid morph 2 with a 2 slot (or better) and this fucking guy goes and gets a rapid morph 3 with a 2 slot right in front of me with no regard for my feelings.

It's sad to see on nexus that the second most downloaded mod of all time is a charm and item cheat save editor.
The game hates me when it comes to Attack and Crit (Any type) charms... been playing for about 2000 hours and I have maybe 5 with CE, 2 with WE, and only 1 with CB... and AB? 7, but not one has any slots nor goes beyond 2 points.
I get godly of everything else, but never this group.
good talismans are so hard to get best one's i have gotten in 370hours of playtime in rise/sunbreak are attack boost 2 with a lv3 slot

and crit eye 3 with a lv 2 slot

That’s super good. Wirebug whisperer is pretty much meta in MR for a lot of weapons, so you’ve got 6 points of level 2 skills there

I'm not sure what else, I'm away from my PC right now. For the Rampage socket I just swap between anti-dragon and anti-fanged beast. The build also has three 1 slots u can use to swap between:
Fire res 3
Poison Res 3
Paralysis Res 3
Sleep Res 3
etc, based on what you're fighting.
There are things that i havent done yet, and im almost done with the game

Boost harvest foods and even a karma bonus point food. Throw on botany and geology skills. Hit sniff out the boosted item and just make circles u can get 12k in like 20ish mins.... maybe faster if b line better. Expedition btw
I prefer doing that Village quest that has you collect a certain item. I think it's called Roly-Poly Lanterns. It's in 1*, and you can clear it in about 30 seconds on average, with RNG affecting your item pickups. Be sure to have the armor skill that gives you an extra item per gather (so just wear Leather X).
If you really are just going to spam run a quest to die, why not put on low rank gear to die in 1 hit
