Two things I think are worth noting. Having a Healer Palico can *really* help take the edge off of Dereliction. If you opt to run the healing super skill, the Healing Clover Bat, it will absolutely overwhelm the Dereliction damage while you retain the buff. Plus, having the cleanser field can save your life from pesky DOT. Of course, you do lose Resentment, but it's a worthy price to pay for not dying. Additionally, the quick heal on switch skill swap can seriously save your butt. If a monster takes you below Moxie and you can't pull back and Potion, it may be worth sacrificing the attack to prevent a cart.
I have a question. Josh said gourmet fish health regen buff was affected by Power Prolonger, but shouldnt it be Item Prolonger? Or maybe both work? Idk, but, as someone who plays IG and enjoys slotting in a few power prolongers when i can for longer kinsect buffs, this felt important to ask, as they are different skills.
This skill seems super cracked for the ranged weapons as you can flex Dereliction to basically crank an elemental/status set or a raw/stun set. I'm testing it with Royal Order HBG on a full pierce build and HOLY crap the damage is wicked. Can't wait to bring this around and show my friends for some endgame hunts.
That’s what I’m running right now. You get used to the health drain at the beginning of the quest and it gives you a sense of urgency. After you damage the monster you really don’t worry about it anymore because you’re just focused on the slaughter.

Dereliction is a trap, even Team Darkside cannot recommend using it outside of speedruns, even with Blood Rite for regular hunts. Dereliction is for speedrunners who just abandon and reset the quest if they mess up even once (because Dereliction will drain you until you only have 1 HP), hence why you won't find any Dereliction sets for regular hunts from Team Darkside. The only other exception to this are element bowgun with Dereliction because you'll get 1 or 2-hit KOed anyway playing gunner, but it never sees any use with raw damage bowgun sets. Curious. Would it be worth it combining Dereliction with Shageru's armor buff that gives frenzy, drains you, but recovers all red health upon doing enough damage?
i fell like this could be made more comfortable from kushala armor skill that gives permanent heath recovery at least in high rank i belive it called kushala blessing
Mixing the two doesn't seem to do anything. Part of the reason dereliction is nice is because of constant uptime on resentment. You're better off mixing it with Blood rite from either the Malzeno chest or waist
Dereliction is cool and all but i cant play around constantly having my health drained, plus im constantly switching scrolls for ironshine silk anyways. Malzeno and kushala for me
Kinda surprised you didn't test it alongside Super Recovery from Kushala Blessing 3, since if all you need is the Legs then you could run Kushala Arms and Waist to potentially mitigate some of the drain. That and Kush Arms+Waist innately give max Agitator for even more damage. Only downside being the Waist needs a Large Elder Dragon Gem, so not super easy to access.
Not bad idea with the consumables. But I run Dereliction different. My Build looks something like this: - Lv5 Resentment (1 from Deco) - Lv3 Dereliction - Lv3 Partbreaker (2 from Deco) - Lv3 Recovery Up (3 from Deco) - Lv2 Blood Rite (Archfiend Armor Cerato (Head)) (Archfiend Armor Epine (Arms)) (Archfienend Armor Sceros (Legs)) (Malzeno Coil (Waist)) Torso and Charm are free and can be used how you like it. I go for the Barbania Vest to gain 1 Resentment (so no Decos needed) and an additional Partbreaker (so I only have to slot one deco in). As a Lance user I also go with slugger lv3 (for the extra K.O. damage (because Derelictions blue scroll further boost K.O. damage)), and some Guard & Guard Up Skills. The problem I see with your build are the "wasted" potential from Resentment (you need red-health to activate it). Resentment gives you a whooping +25 Attack on top of your Dereliction (+35 Attack) for a total of +60 RAW Attack for two skills alone. Now for the details: - Partbreaker is to break parts faster to get Blood Rite to activate on each hit. - More damage (Resentment & Dereliction) further boost damage done to break parts and allows to heal more per hit via Blood Rite. - Recovery Up is to spare another level of Blood Rite (Recovery Up also boost health gain per Blood Rite). And it also let us heal 80% health with an First Aid Med alone! - Slugger (when you use it) is to further boost K.O. damage because Dereliction also gives us more K.O. damage. Hope someone found this information helpful. Best regards Noble Knight
Can every Weapon do K.O. dmg? I'm a longsword main and I would choose the Raw dmg but I think it will be a waist if I can't knock a monster with this 2nd attribute. Wouldn't it be better to use Elemental/Status build up??
@@deylana3909 As far as I know, no, not every weapon has K.O. damage. Everything with blunt damage is K.O. damage but as far as I know, Longsword has no. But this do not mean you shouldn't go for it. Every RAW damage is better than no and this skill gives you a lot of raw (high risk vs high reward). So you should absolutely go for it when you can handle the drain. After a lot of testing I don't run the skill anymore. To hectic. But that's me, I love the slow and tanky gameplay. An elemental/status build is also viable, but not everyone like that. I personally LOVE status builds and run whenever I can, poison or blast. In the end, YOU're the one who plays the game, no matter how you do it, as long you have fun, you're doing it right.
Interested to hear that having all 3 ranks wont be as good as one rank and a optimised build I'm assuming thats for Raw builds since the +20 to element seems super good imo i can think of some real potent builds using all 3 ranks well at least for elemental raw not so much

just an addition but one thing i noticed myself when playing is that scroll swap with 1 qurio resets the 'timer' to gain your second qurio. so good to keep that in mind too
no switching scrolls consume qurios up to two, if you have 3 it consumes 2 leaving you with 1 and healing 100, if you have 2 it consumes 2 healing for 100 and leaving you with 0 so without buff if you have 1 it consumes 1 healing for 50 instead
@@vitortakara7090 You always have one Qurio that you can't consume. If you only have one, doing a switch skill swap doesn't heal, and if you have two Qurios it consumes one

I must be the only person who doesn't like this skill. I like skill scroll swapping to reposition and use redirection, but dereliction punishes that by killing your buff. If it didn't have to ramp up that would be fine, but the ramp up just kills this skill for me. Trying to get to MR 100 for that armor set
Worth noting that every level of dereliction is 5 extra attack and every level of resentment is also 5 extra attack. Resentment is a little easier to come by so a good thing to keep in mind if you have level 3 dereliction but don't have level 5 resentment. Another thing to keep in mind is that Attack Boost 6 and 7 each give about 9 attack with rarity 10 weapons. So attack boosting priority should probably be: Dereliction level 1: Min. 15 attack, potential 25 Max Attack boost Max Resentment Max Dereliction I don't think there's a build right now that can come close to pulling these off without sacrificing critical eye, weakness exploit, and critical boost which are all also higher priority than these.
My opinion atk 7 is better than 3 dereliction and 5 resentment, yes with 3 quiros your getting 35 and 25 raw which is 60 raw but at 8 skill levels which resentment is a lvl 2 deco where atk 7 is only 7 skill levels and gives 10% plus 10 raw and 10% on a 350 weapon which is average on rare 10 weapons is 35 atk plus the 10 so 45 atk, so you lose 15 atk but sav a deco slot and dont have constant life drain and needing to maintain some red for resentment. But if you like the thrill and that playstyle of the life drain then I can see, for comfortable close to same dmg for less slots i say atk 7. Elemental is different story.
@@nathangomez6888 attack 7 is definitely the priority. I'd also say don't go into any resentment or extra dereliction outside of the first levels the boots give you until you already have level 7 attack boost.

(Archfiend Armor Cerato (Head))
(Archfiend Armor Epine (Arms))
(Archfienend Armor Sceros (Legs))
(Malzeno Coil (Waist))
Torso and Charm are free and can be used how you like it.
Now for the details:
- Partbreaker is to break parts faster to get Blood Rite to activate on each hit.
Best regards
Noble Knight
Just asking , it is recovery "speed" right?
NVM I was wrong :v
What is the chest armor your wearing
Interested to hear that having all 3 ranks wont be as good as one rank and a optimised build I'm assuming thats for Raw builds since the +20 to element seems super good imo i can think of some real potent builds using all 3 ranks well at least for elemental raw not so much
Hi Josh, your D-d-d-dango reference was oddly fitting today as i had read an Article about the somewhat mysterious death of the Creator of Yu-Gi-Oh at the age of 60. Sad times indeed, but incase you weren't aware of this news yourself yet, then your premonition in pun form impressive to witness today. Rip Kazuki Takahashi 👼🏻
I love this full set, it’s just so flexible
Does blast count as an element? Probably a dumb question ik
Great video. When is immortal build?
So basically a Armour Set that makes a flying Leeches but also gives you a good power boost
Rest in Piece Yu gi Oh Mangaka. That sound makes me sad now :(
I appreciate the well-placed pun.
Alsof of note are the daora set bonus(resentment and agitator are Nuts) and blood rite.
Me, a HH user with healing songs:
It's free real estate!
A pass on this skill for me some of these monsters are one shot killing in endgame
I run super defense for that reason.
Malzeno + Kushala mixed with Quick Breath and Redirection level 2.
Not meta but really, really hard to die.
I never understood raw damage like that , so my question is if I’m using blast would I be in blue scroll or red scroll?
welp now my 8k gourmet fish has something for
I have been running runs with Dereliction 3, Heroics 5, Agitator 5, Resentment 5, Resuscitate 3, Coalescence 2, Redirection 1, Free Meal 3, and etc for Hunting Horn. Is this good? I just focus on attack and not crit... 😅
Derilection + Bloodlust + Resentment + Resusitate + RecoveryUp 👌
If you run dereliction in my multiplayer hunts and you cart first, I’m leaving. Watching the same person with this skill cart 3 times and mess up the hunt is starting to fry my brain.
Either i got bug or i really don’t get the healing when swapping scroll…
Is it possible to have Dereliction, Hellfire, Frenzy, Bloodlust, etc just all the visual effects and status buff type abilities 🤔
Yes, you can also add bubble blight to that list. Via talisman and decoration. Just gotta roll for it with melding
My dual blades build currently has dereliction + blood rite + bloodlust + coalescence
This plus shagarus skills just reminds me of Alatreons set in iceborne, except
A lot more hurt
You mean safi set?
Quick shout! Get Big Combustuna from the Argosy instead, It gives Gourmet Fish AND dash juice! Infinitely better imo
I see the trend if super leg pieces has returned as well lol
I got it to lvl 3 but it doesn't heal me upon changing the arts, despite it stating that it heals you upon changing arts. Cause without that its kinda worse then the other megala set that atleast heals you.
Ok, never mind.
You sacrifice one of them for health
Feels like the safi jai set…carted on my first attempt ..still trying to learn it ..btw..I love safi but didn’t like the draining hp..I’m still waiting for the new “immortal” build 🙏😛from you guys
So true, i was so bad with the safi armor that i died to a low rank rathalos while helping a random. (Or maybe im just absolute garbage, could be either)
What about kushala blessings, are they compatible?
Nah, dereliction completely negates kushalas blessing
I wonder if Dereliction + Kushala Blessing will be a good combo
This brings up a question. If you eat for dango recovery and gourmet fish....is there 0 hp drain? Also with the healing bats you can stay topped off and drop in hp as you need
I think it cuts down the drain by 70-90%. Almost.
He described the heath n he laughed I couldn’t take it n laugh as well
Just so I fully understand, doing a scroll swap resets the buff back to one curio?
Yes
Exactly right
just an addition but one thing i noticed myself when playing is that scroll swap with 1 qurio resets the 'timer' to gain your second qurio. so good to keep that in mind too
no switching scrolls consume qurios up to two, if you have 3 it consumes 2 leaving you with 1 and healing 100, if you have 2 it consumes 2 healing for 100 and leaving you with 0 so without buff if you have 1 it consumes 1 healing for 50 instead
@@vitortakara7090 You always have one Qurio that you can't consume. If you only have one, doing a switch skill swap doesn't heal, and if you have two Qurios it consumes one
Should check out Furious. Its pretty fun.
I use max lvl dereliction but I use the slide for agitator or the other one for defense cause the slots
Can you can use this with resentment too?
Yes. He even mentions it.
i love how he's explaining all of thise to us but I am more focused on the fact he just did 3719 DAMAGE TO A MONSTER!!!!! Like bro man's did that all non shelaunctly
I don't have popfish as an option at my argosy? Why?
it's a random chance of appearing
What about recovery speed?
5:20
- important bit
Anyone know where to get that dongo skill me mentioned? I don’t see anything online for it yet nobody’s made a video talking about them or how to unlock every new dongo skill.
Nvm cotton heard my plea
Whenever I put on my derilictoin build I shred and destroy the monsters but they shred and destroy me and since my only recovery is blood ride it’s kindof a negative perke for me
+I use duel blades
Healing Clover bats are strong: I've had blood blight, poison, and dereliction on and was still healing.
Kuahala's regeneration is gonna be real useful
Worth noting that every level of dereliction is 5 extra attack and every level of resentment is also 5 extra attack. Resentment is a little easier to come by so a good thing to keep in mind if you have level 3 dereliction but don't have level 5 resentment.
Another thing to keep in mind is that Attack Boost 6 and 7 each give about 9 attack with rarity 10 weapons.
So attack boosting priority should probably be:
Dereliction level 1: Min. 15 attack, potential 25
Max Attack boost
Max Resentment
Max Dereliction
I don't think there's a build right now that can come close to pulling these off without sacrificing critical eye, weakness exploit, and critical boost which are all also higher priority than these.
I have lvl 2 resentment = + 10 atk, lvl 4 attack = 5% + 7 atk, lvl 1 dereliction = + 15 atk, lvl 1 chain crit = + 5 atk. THATS 37 attack plus whatever 5% adds. Not sure if thats better then the attack lvl 7 + 10% + 10 atk
Spoiler: Dereliction 3 plus blood rite 3 is great and I wonder how it stacks up against hellfire cloak/mail.
Combine with bloodrites for a “starving vampire” playstyle
