I genuinely appreciate you bringing up the no jump edits for the runthrough. So many guides do this and it's just like why are you giving yourself more work than you need. Thanks for the help!
I like to bring an Insect Glaive with me on this route. The added jump, air dodge, and Silkbind move in the air gives great horizontal clearance so you don't have to run up the wall from the bottom of the pond after you travel to Sub Camp 2. I usually go from the Sub Camp, jump down like normal, and I like to go down the ramp a bit and use the Insect Glaive to jump across the whole gap just as where the left turn happens. If you go straight across, there's actually an extra outcrop on that first little plateau you can mine with minimal time loss, and with the dog you can just ride it back to where Gaijin showed as normal before you head to back to the Main Camp.

Two things I noticed while running this route myself: When you're running towards the vine wall that leads to that small chamber in the back of the volcano (where you jump off the dog and crawl in), you can actually pick up a wirebug there shortly before the vines. Second: After jumping down from the subcamp, if you slide down the path/ridge to the right of the mining node it brings you closer to the platform where the mining nodes are and you can jump over with two wirebugs easily.
This was fantastic for me, thank you. Found myself having such a horrible time with having a reasonable amount of Zenny because I gave myself the goal of "Craft every Hunting Horn as I progress", got up to late High Rank now and it has been a bit too much of a chore trying to keep that up while also being able to afford armor. I did just a single run of this and that's enough Zenny to continue without worrying.
for people trying to jump the chasm quicker, head down the little path left then jumo > A > B > LZ+RZ repeat and you can make it. In my tests going down the left path then jumping slightly more left than where GH did is quicker than having to drop and jump up. Happy Hunting y'all
Three adjustments Id like to contribute here is at 6:40, as soon as you've collected that one, use one wirebug to scale the big cliff on the right and use the other bug to scale a raised rock platform up there and there is another ore vein right there. Second is take a gathering palico with you as they gather about 6-8 pieces for two rotations which is nice free bonus money. Finally, I didnt realise that the upsurge changed and so you have to cycle quests again. If you complete both runs within 10 mins (this is the cutoff point before the upsurge changes), complete mission and you'll have the ore upsurge still there. You've just got to do it in sets of two. (Im sure Gajin mentioned this but I skimmed the vid so heres a text version I guess) TY so much for this Gaijin! I always make all the armour pieces in the game as my ultimate goal and everything costs so much in Rise so this was perfect
**FOR ANYONE FARMING TALISMANS* • Farm the final boss a few times • Use the 'wisp of mystery' melding pot (you can queue up to 10 for 3x) • Use boss materials (they're worth 70-100 points) • Start 'Arena Quest 05' and die immediately to advance time • Repeat process (This will also advance Argosy, Cohoot nest and Meowcenaries)
There is a way of clearing that opening with only two wirebugs: ride on your dog to the right, all the way until right where it juts out a LITTLE BIT and jump off with your dog in that spot, then jump off your dog, wirebug as high up as you can go, spin midair and fall a LITTLE WAYS, and repeat. You will likely JUST BARELY grab onto the ledge and haul yourself up, as it's difficult to pull off. The space with the Sending Springs with the mining outcrop should be just in front of you. There is also a way of sliding off (at the second camp) where you aim to the slight left of the bigger rock; you will slide all the way directly in front of the mining outcrop. It is difficult to pull off but perfect if you get it right. I think that's all for now... ciao! BONUS TIP: I don't remember the name of the dango, but there is a dango you can eat that will make gathering points respawn quicker. If you eat for this, it will shave ~30s or so off your gathering trip (an estimate).
Thanks to this video I've been able to farm money so much easier! I also found a nice combination of two sets of armor to help with Wirebugs! If you do the 3 pieces of Leather (Helm, Gloves and Pants) and also use the Kamura Chest and Belt you can get Geologist and Wirebug Whisperer. This helps increase the longevity of your 3rd Wirebug if you pick one of the various ones up on the route and makes things go by a lot faster. I've actually gone through so fast that I've had to wait at some periods for the nodes to respawn LOL Also don't forget to wall run if you need to! Leg day and a lot of other buffs are really good for this route for farming.
It's funny to me that you didn't clear the quest for firelanters fast because you kept getting the rarer Wisplanters. It's the classic sense of, "I need this common drop but I keep getting gems/plates" from World.
At first it looked intimidating but I decided to give it a try. It was actually quite fun and after doing it once I found it therapeutic and zenny is no longer an issue.. thanks so much!!
Managed to somehow do the whole lap 3 times before the locale info changed, even after including an extra outspot to the north before the 12th vein in your route when you cross the big gap you'd need a third bug for. By the way, by sliding down the lefthand-side-wall-path after the 11th node, you can jump across from there straight onto the circular raised bit with the extra vein with just 2 wirebugs effortlessly, thus negating the need for a 3rd wirebug as well. Really good video, much appreciated as I'm just getting into making and upgrading some actual HR sets and weapons. Looking forward to future Rise content! Update: Managed to do 4 laps + 5 veins of the 5th run this time, I'm fairly sure that'd be impossible if the map details cycle exactly every 10 minutes, so it might be a variable? Update2: Just timed another run, the upsurge lasted for a whole 19 minutes and 40 seconds that time, I managed to just run 5 whole laps as it changed with each run taking approximately that 4 minutes after the first run of 3minutes 34 seconds since there's no waiting for them to respawn on the first run. So it would make sense if the timer was set to a random value between 10 and 20 minutes? @4:54
One huge efficiency increase is eating the bunny dango to reduce the gathering spot respawn time, it means if you are fast enough you can get 4 full runs in before the upsurge ends. If you alter the route slightly after fast traveling to sub 2, mount immediately, jump a bit further to the right so that you land directly on the mining node, then run round to the edge of the cliff to your right past the flower patch and with a dog jump and 2 wire bugs you can easily make it to the other side, sometimes directly onto the platform with the last node.
Transport sidequests can give you gold eggs worth 20k. Theyre easy to do in shrine ruins where gargwas can appear right outside the maincamp. Hit them from behind to make them drop an egg. The bismuth chunk in lava cavern isnt hard either. Its right by the second camp, and you pretty much slide all the way down the mountain.
Super useful! Optimising this route is so much fun, and the cash money it yields is perfect Fun little thing I realised is that there's a gustcrab right next to the mining outcrop at 6:40. A gustcrab can't accomplish anything you couldn't do already, but using one sends you a decent ways directly upwards, which can be useful for any jumps you might struggle with. More importantly, it's funny to use There's also a wirebug directly in the route's path at 6:50, which I'm sure other people have pointed out. I don't know if it would last long enough for the big jump, but it might do, and a point in wirebug whisperer could make the difference if it doesn't last long enough normally This route hands out so much dough, and the pathing is so fast-paced, and rise has so many movement options... probably my favourite money making MH scheme ever, since it's fun to just execute it in the first place
I slide down the narrow path that hugs the wall near the outcrop just a bit and launch off the ledge towards the next outcrop. Follow that with a bug swing and you can actually clear a good portion of that gap before you even use your first wirebug. Works on any weapon class.
Thanks so much for the tip! I watched the video when it came out but didn't think I needed the money but now that hr 20 has opened up I am broke from upgrading my armour. A couple of quests later and I am swimming in money!
5:10 just to quick mark the start of the volcano route Edit: thanks for your video, I didn't follow the route exactly because I didn't realize there was a sub camp 2 so I flew to sub camp 1 instead and it brought me back to my starting line with stuff respawned so I just picked it up from there. Managed to get 320k with mining crops selected on the map.
Thanks for the guide as always, maybe someone said it in comments already but you can clear that big jump without three wirebugs if you yoshi jump off your palamute after grabbing the thunder bug next to the ore node and walking forward a bit to find the shortest gap between the big chasm. Also, you can grab a third wirebug if you hug the right wall in the tunnel between area 10 and 11. If you clear the back cave in perfect time you can have three wirebugs for the big jump too. I dont really think these time saves will let you get more ores but it feels cool
an upside with the route here is that back area of the volcano is where the extremely rare endemic life spawns. Its a phoenix called the hellbill and it perches on that lion king like ledge you had to climb up to. It will run away if you try to rush up on it so take a pic from below, or if you are searching for only it you can hide in the tunnel behind that ledge until it shows up. You will know when he is there because he is a very loud bird! You can sneak up to snap a pic and if you want more interactions wave at it! It will respond and not run away so you can do poses with it. It poses for the camera and responds to various actions you do. Just like the fox in the shrine he's extremely rare though so running this route may have a better chance of seeing him while farming.
Cool, thanks for the route man. Might i suggest also adding Evade Extender 3 and Wirebug Whisperer 1 to the build though. The reason for it is Evade Extender also affects the Wirebug Dodge, so you can travel farther. Then with Wirebug Whisperer 1 you can grab one of the extra wirebugs down in the bottom areas for the first two laps, that way you'll have three wirebugs for when you get to the big open area and with three wirebugs you can also grab 2 extra mining points and still make it back before the 4 minute respawn timer.
Nice vid...thank you. FYI you can press down instead of side to sell things quicker...less waiting for the number of items to increment, especially if you are trying to sell an entire stack of things.
To get across the gap after the sub camp, mine the first outcrop and then ride you palamute along the edge to get you closer. Then palamute jump and then hunter jump, followed by 2 wirebug uses to clear the gap. Then just do the empty wirebug jump to climb to the second outcrop.
I am good at wasting stamina so I like to eat before going out. This is absolutely amazing. So good even in LR, did a test run there, the route is super simple actually and easy to memorize :)
Thank you so much for this video! I followed along with the video just now for the route twice until I got it. And when I got it, it was awesome!!! So much zenny rolling in! Thanks a buuuuunch!!!! :D EDIT *SPOILER*: After selling this much ore, I got the award for the Extravagant Cashbox. Thanks!! I sold a total of ore that led to about 700k. (I hadn't sold any of the ore I'd collected while playing through the game before.)
If you want to fill in those 15 seconds, warp to sub camp 1 and turn around. Go towards the iridescent ore and when you get to it take a hard left and jump off the ledge. You should be facing the iridescent crystal drop. Take a slight left downhill and jump off the next ledge. Halfway down the jump you'll see a ledge in front of you with only a might seed and two mining outcrops. You can wirebug to it easily. Then warp back to the start and repeat.
So just a tidbit I figured out while watching this. if you buy the 3 leather armor you need for geo 3 and have the other 2 be from the Melahoa S set and slot one botanist gem into the melahoa chest you can have both level 4 botanist and level 3 geo at the same time removing the need to change armor sets.
8:06 if you have evade extender 3 you can make the jump with 2 wire bugs! Jump off the ledge- Hang- flip- shoot wire bug slightly up- hang- flip- shoot wire bug up- hang- flip
can also confirm that you can get around 200k/run (definitely more than that but i usually leave around 30pcs per ore in case i need to craft something) in the flooded forrest if you haven't unlocked lava caverns in HR yet or if there's an overgrowth there and lava caverns doesn't
After a few run. The jump that he mention need 3 wire, just use your mount as a extra leap and hold A when you jump off the mount to gain that extra distance. Can run 3.5 lap within the time window
You can clear the gap with only two wirebugs if you jump off on your palamute, launch off it, do the wirebug hang jump thing, then use your wirebugs like normal.
If you use gunlance + blast dash after using both wirebug, you can go through the pit. Dont forget to press A to hang to the wirebug after the first wirebug tho, it helps a lot.
After when "Sunbreak" Expansion arrives and the event quest "Cheering Ra Ra Rajang" arrives, this is how you get so much more than a 300K Zenny when trying to sell any kinds of eggs, but the platinum eggs is far superior than before, that's why!
Get an armor set that has 3 Lvl 1 and at least 1 Lvl 2 deco slots. Slot the Lvl 1s with Geologist and the Lvl 2 with Wirebug Whisperer. There are 2 wirebugs along this route, one between areas (10, 11) and another one at area 11. Taking one on each trip should be good to last you the first 2 trips for the wirebug slinging areas. If you're lucky and have the right armor set, you probably can get maxed out Wirebug Whisperer with Geologist. tip: if you mount your palamute and hop off right off the ledge, you can cover a greater distance
I'm sure he knows, and that it's not uncommon knowledge, but reminder that if you're hanging from a wirebug, or potentially on a wall, you don't get that "quest finished!" cutscene and will instead just say "quest finished" and go to the end results screen. Saves a couple seconds, so it could really help others who didn't know.
At 7:38 if you turn around there’s another on a ledge even further above. Upvote for visibility since it’s faster to get than skip, would help reduce that time between respawn, too.
To reset quests i been having a faster time just going into arena vs Barioth, for example, die and repeat, 1 minute adventure. You don't get any rewards, but is a fast way to cycle for talismans. Good video!
This has been a lifesaver. Ran it once by myself today. I logged in and wanted to test it out but lava caverns already had the ore buff so I gritted my teeth and got 287k, my gatherer palico I brought with got 18k. Immediately afterwards I got on discord and talked to a buddy about it. We did some valstrax farming with another friend. We were about to do another hunt, but my buddy randomly decided to look at the expedition and it was up again! Showed them the path and route to take. So I was up 600k from 20 mins of running and gathering alone.
you should use an insect glaive, it’ll help you close the gaps on the longer jumps, this’ll save you a couple seconds so that you can store your items every time you warp back to the main camp
I managed to clear that gap with just two. After mining quickly hop onto your Palamute and hang right and follow the edge. Jump with your Palamute then jump off it and aim high with the wire bug. It should land you right in front of the next mining spot.
so the optimal route to get a wire bug is to just grab the one in 11. you basically touch it anyway just stay to the left.with wire bug whisperer 1 it made it to the end of the loop
there is an extra wire bug basically right on this path and if youre fast enough you can use it to clear the gap. you can get it in the big room you enter right before you enter the volcano part. but the timing is tight tho
I was able to raise the amout to 550k by going up on the map after the last mining spot of the loop in this video, so you don't have to wait for the first spot to respawn. You can find the additional 2 spots on the map.
I did this today and think the map took longer than 10 minutes to change, i got like 5 runs in and got 600k while not selling all of the ores (cuz i whana build stuff) This is was way better than i thought it would be
Super late, but you can totally clear that giant gap after 2 wirebugs and then you use the gunlance's blast dash to zoom across the remainder if you're still high enough.
There is a daily skill which reduces the time for gathering points to respawn, and i was able to get nearly 4 full runs after some optimising and mistakes, so i feel like there is a reason to improve the route further
If you change your mini map to detailed and tab over to gathering on the large map it'll show all the gathering spots on your mini, makes learning the route much easier.
On top of that if you manually select the nodes to track it’ll only show those
Yep, he missed quite a few nodes on this route.

Thank you very much!! If you do this while watching the farming process at 0.75 speed, you can easily learn the route!
an upside with the route here is that back area of the volcano is where the extremely rare endemic life spawns.
My first try: basarios, khezu and R ludroth At the same time smacking the heck out of me while i try to mine
I love how he said Bo tan ist 😁 The Godfather is here.
Just did my runs, solid 320k over 10-15min worth of effort. Thanks for the guide!
Was doing along and we synced fast travel to camp twice frame to frame on accident lol
Awesome video!!!!!!
I am good at wasting stamina so I like to eat before going out.
This is absolutely amazing. So good even in LR, did a test run there, the route is super simple actually and easy to memorize :)
Watched the video for 2 times and got the route perfectly. Thx to my big PP.
Thank you for making this video
Thank you so much for this video! I followed along with the video just now for the route twice until I got it. And when I got it, it was awesome!!! So much zenny rolling in! Thanks a buuuuunch!!!! :D
EDIT *SPOILER*:
After selling this much ore, I got the award
for the Extravagant Cashbox. Thanks!!
I sold a total of ore that led to about 700k.
(I hadn't sold any of the ore I'd collected while playing through the game before.)
Still the best early game zenny guide in 2024! much love gaijin, hope all is well
If you want to fill in those 15 seconds, warp to sub camp 1 and turn around.
So just a tidbit I figured out while watching this. if you buy the 3 leather armor you need for geo 3 and have the other 2 be from the Melahoa S set and slot one botanist gem into the melahoa chest you can have both level 4 botanist and level 3 geo at the same time removing the need to change armor sets.
slotting in a point of wirebug whisperer is nice too, extra 30% uptime on wirebugs
*cries in mhgu taking forever to mine things*
*cries harder in older MH games taking forever by waiting for the animation to finish before starting the animation again*
8:06 if you have evade extender 3 you can make the jump with 2 wire bugs!
Jump off the ledge- Hang- flip- shoot wire bug slightly up- hang- flip- shoot wire bug up- hang- flip
If you're selling in bulk, press down instead of right to get to the max. immediately
You are a life savor, thank you so much, endgame armour and weapons are so expensive!
can also confirm that you can get around 200k/run (definitely more than that but i usually leave around 30pcs per ore in case i need to craft something) in the flooded forrest if you haven't unlocked lava caverns in HR yet or if there's an overgrowth there and lava caverns doesn't
Flooded Forest is ~500,000 Zenny, 12 outcrops per lap, 3-4 laps per Upsurge, plenty of downtime between respawns
I cant thank you enough for this tip, bro. More power to your channel.
This technique works so well! Gaijin, you are a zenny-saver 🤑
If you use gunlance + blast dash after using both wirebug, you can go through the pit. Dont forget to press A to hang to the wirebug after the first wirebug tho, it helps a lot.
Very much appreciated!! Like always Gaijin gives is the good stuff
After when "Sunbreak" Expansion arrives and the event quest "Cheering Ra Ra Rajang" arrives, this is how you get so much more than a 300K Zenny when trying to sell any kinds of eggs, but the platinum eggs is far superior than before, that's why!
dunno if comenting helps on a older video but thanks for not cutting or speeding up
thanks for the video and the not editing route awesome as always Happy Hunting !!
2:15 you can take armor with Botanic skill to make this quest even more useful)
This with master rank materials and the dango that makes outcrops reappear faster should be fun
Omg thanks! Even without the talismans you make really good money in those ten minutes!
I think a faster way to cycle the area would be Arena Quest, for Arena 05 Rajang, just jump down and die, takes 20-30 seconds at most.
Good video!
you mean for amulets right? or can you cycle for decorations?
@@Sciboo967 Yeah, for talismans. My mistake.
@@Garrigator ok yeah i was just confused, i thought maybe i missed sth.
So I was up 600k from 20 mins of running and gathering alone.
you should use an insect glaive, it’ll help you close the gaps on the longer jumps, this’ll save you a couple seconds so that you can store your items every time you warp back to the main camp
dragonite ore, fucium ore, firestone, carbalite ore, firecell stone
Hello
You can get your 3rd bug on the volcano's back way, just before the climbing walls.
Thx for the video, was a great help ^^
I managed to clear that gap with just two.
After mining quickly hop onto your Palamute and hang right and follow the edge. Jump with your Palamute then jump off it and aim high with the wire bug. It should land you right in front of the next mining spot.
so the optimal route to get a wire bug is to just grab the one in 11. you basically touch it anyway just stay to the left.with wire bug whisperer 1 it made it to the end of the loop
With very minor optimization, likes dashes and angles of jumps, I just managed to get over 530k from this route, it's simply amazing.
there is an extra wire bug basically right on this path and if youre fast enough you can use it to clear the gap. you can get it in the big room you enter right before you enter the volcano part. but the timing is tight tho
Fellow switch axe user! Almudrons armor has good skills for Swaxe too :)
Killer video, as always. Thanks brother!
I can't believe he enjoys the almudron fight
But as someone who also uses the switch axe (not primarily) almudron gear is really useful
Thanks so much! awesome way of getting some quick zenny
I was able to raise the amout to 550k by going up on the map after the last mining spot of the loop in this video, so you don't have to wait for the first spot to respawn.
You can find the additional 2 spots on the map.
I did this today and think the map took longer than 10 minutes to change, i got like 5 runs in and got 600k while not selling all of the ores (cuz i whana build stuff)
This is was way better than i thought it would be
To make it easier you can pause with the home button to pause to watch the video to learnt he route
Making 400-500k each run. Ty for this one
You can do 4 rounds with dango harvester. And there's an extra node after the river forks, up the wall on the right
You can skip the quest complete pose/scene by dangling to wirebug right before the quest timer over
Awesome guide! I now have enough money to craft whatever and upgrade my armor :)
I got Kamura Tickets for doing the the recycle! This method is awesome!
you can also do this in flooded forest btw, you can get tons of fucium ore and novacrystal there
got 700k in one run, i didnt even sell all of them.
Honey moon stage is the best part thanks for the quick help.
Yo this is fucking awesome, once you get sweaty with it the upsurge will end just as you're finishing the 3rd lap. Thanks king, I'm rich now
