Update: Ty for this video. I’m a 25 year old woman and was able to do this on my 2012 Civic with a thermostat stuck open so it was running cold. I fixed it with no issue thanks to you and several other repair videos I’ve watched. I’ve replaced my blower motor, engine air filter, and now my thermostat thanks to helpful people like you giving us these gems. This was my first repair that I’ve done under the hood. I was intimidated at first but once I got going I found the confidence to continue. Thank you for saving me money and keeping me educated on my car. I love my civic! These cars are so reliable and relatively inexpensive and easy to repair when issues crop up. I’m a Honda owner for life. Only ever driven Honda’s and they’ve never failed me. 💁🏽♀️💙
I just had this done. I appreciate the video.

Hi i have 2015 civic 61,000 mi appt made for reg sched maintenance radiator flush but also had c/o lack of heat warm to cool low temp light is staying on (occasionally low temp light will initially turn off but then comes back on while driving & stays on) & when blue light returns it blows tempid/cool air loose heat (when light is off i do have warmer heat but it def is not as it should be or was & must be on Hi temp & blower ... my CEL & Check emission system & not sure of code # mechanic stated was for thermostat but we already had replaced that as well as coolant flush including flushing heater core, & just replaced the temp sensor for the radiator (not the one by thermostat yet) & I drove this weekend same problem results blue light back on as well as CEL & emission & poor heat. Any thoughts would be welcomed & appreciated Thanks
it could be a few things like the anti frezee is contaminated or ur heating core maybe malfuction or falty thermostat...

I have this issue and I don't know what to do. I've called different places to get it fixed but they tell me it'll take a few days to get it fixed. It's my only form of transportation this can't be fixed in one day?
Was it getting hot?
nice video what camera do you use brother
we used 2 camaras canon x7 n phone galaxy s6 can u sub to our channel thank u in advance.
So if i just take the thermostat out, i need something to catch the antifreeze?
Yeah just to drain in out
Put air in tires it will fix it good..

What's that silver looking cylinder - thing mounted to the engine(in the middle ) with blue cable ? Mine seems to get really hot within 2 mins of me turning my car on .
at what minute of the video u talking about
8:16 . That silver thing with blue cable/ wire (on the left ) it gets really hot and seems to be the only part that gets "instantly" hot when I turn on my car o

Just changed mine, the check engine light is still on with the same code. Any ideas of how to take off the check engine light or what it could be?
u need to reset the code with a code reader or disconnect the negative cable out the battery for like 1 min n it will reset by itself...can u sub to my channel help us grow thank u
HighLifeTuners 1 does disconnecting the battery reset the check light?
Should have removed the eng to radiator hose in the first place, make your life easy.
But ur in here getting information n not putting work
@@juniormartinez2586 damn not a way to make a channel grow
So was the Honda having any issues at all mechanically or with the HVAC or was it just a simple CEL that caused no noticeable issues to the car other than the light?
the cel was on due to thermostat problem but is fixed already what issues are u having.
Since if not draining the radiator or changing the oil can I start at 4:53?
u can but have a container to catch the antifreeze
HighLifeTuners 1 thanks for the quick reply. I’m subbing this is the second time you’ve helped me save money. I appreciate it!
